After months of overall good experiences at this nail spa, I had one technician who was very rough, in all the ways. Grabbed my ankle too roughly, pushed too hard on the massage, cut the nails too cavalierly while holding a death grip on my foot. I told him once that it was painful. He changed not at all. I mentioned to Kailey that I didn't want that particular technician again and why. She told me she'd take note of it. The next time I went there (with a friend) she told me she remembered that I needed a "delicate touch," which I don't. Just a normal touch would be fine. She gave my friend the rough guy. My friend audibly gasped when he grabbed her ankle. Okayyyy, so it's not just me. Later I was talking about this experience to another friend and before I described the tech in question, she was able to do so. She knew exactly who he was, be cause she had had the same experience. Finally, this very last time I went there, Kailey joked with my friend that I was late (I was exactly on time), and then she AGAIN told my tech that I really needed a delicate touch. I said "Nope. Just normal, please. Been getting pedicures for 30 years and only ever complained about one tech." After the pedicure, while my friend payed her bill, I went to the restroom. I have small nails and my nail technician was shocked to know that I do not want to add tips. She asked me 3 times and I kept reassuring her that I just want my natural nails shaped and painted gel. I told her they've done so at other salons and it's been fine but again, she continued to tell me what she can't do and how come I don't want tips. When I showed a picture of the color I wanted, she led me to the color tray and was not helpful at all in picking out a color that would match with chrome on top. They then proceeded to tell me the price and I asked why it's different than Nail Court in Lewisville. Manicure with chrome is an amazing $47 in Lewisville vs $60 here and she said they are not the same business and have different owners. D'oh! Super confusing with the name. Unfortunately, I was on a call when I walked in, and I hate being rude, so I got off pretty quickly to speak with them. Kevin was my nail tech at the time, and I truly loved every single set he did for me--his work was always beautiful and consistent. After I moved away, I took a break from the salon, but when I returned in August 2025, I knew I wanted to come back to Rose Couture, especially since I was getting married in December 2025. I ended up going on my entire wedding nail journey with Victoria, and I couldn't have made a better choice.
