I've been coming to Sola for so many years - and my stylist, Michelle, in The Color Box here for even longer! I followed her to Sola after she left her other place and she is the GOAT!! Sola Salon is like a mall for different salons - they all have their own little "offices" of sorts and it's a very nice set up. The salons are numbered and there's a directory at the entrance. The Color Box is at station 35. I love how each salon is its own little entity! Michelle is absolutely fantastic! She's such a truly sweet person - and she's also extremely talented at her craft, especially with color. I used to get my hair colored with her - almost always blonde and she always did such an incredible job. I stopped coloring my hair several years ago but still come to her for all my trims, cuts and styles. She's such a PRO at the Dutch Braids! And she always gets my hair cuts exactly how I want, even when I don't know what I want haha! She has great ideas and input and has saved me from myself many times LOL! Her prices are on par with the area. She's super easy to schedule with via text. She alternates days with her work partner and is available several times a week - I've never had issues getting in and I'm always so last minute. Sola is in a huge shopping center in a great location with plenty of parking. There's also a nice courtyard outside. Highly recommend. read more

I have seen Michelle (located in the Color Box) for a few years now and I can't recommend her highly enough. She always asks questions to figure out exactly what I'm looking for, is meticulous in her work, and is a true professional. She responds quickly to appointment inquiries and is an absolutely pleasure all around. I've changed my hair quite a bit over the years, incorporating balayage/highlights/ombré and hair length from a short bob to long hair. This place is very confusing. It's basically a bunch of mini salons in one giant building. They don't have a center place where you can book an appointment, ask for services or price quote. I've came here twice and walked around to ask for pricing and set up service and was either ignored or was rudely turned away because I didn't have an appointment. I guess you'll have to follow one of these salons on insta to book an appointment? Anyways there are other salons in the area that are friendly so I guess they'll be getting my money read more

Andrew who goes by "andrewlovescolor" on Instagram is the most UNPROFESSIONAL hairstylist I have ever encountered, errr LACK of to be exact. Like one of the previous reviewers, I had a similar experience that he was not engaging in communication through text messages. I contacted him with questions and he didn't even bother to answer any of my questions. Instead, 6 hours later he responded with a sloppy 'copy and paste' asking for days available, two year history, pics, and name. I was totally turned off by how he completed glazed over my questions as a potential client. It's been a few days now and I still haven't heard back from him. I know he's reading the messages because he has the time to post on Instagram photos and videos of the kind of work he just completed for the day. And in my text messages I was always nice, detailed, and professional. But now, I can see why the negative reviews holds some truth. It's very disappointing because from the photos I've seen on IG it looks like he does great work and was looking forward to meeting him. But, honestly at this point, Andrew is a complete and utter JERK who just selectively chooses who he wants to respond to and when. Not a good way to conduct your business especially in an industry that's lucrative, word of mouth, and social media driven. I'm the type to support small businesses, but not when they are inconsiderate and unprofessional. This review is for PrettybyTraci. After my appointment, I tried to book another future appointment and was unable to. I texted her trying to book an appointment b/c her website was not letting me book for some reason, but I did not hear back. I texted her again a few days later, called her, left her a voicemail, and even sent her a video of me trying to book but was unable to. Still no response. I was able to the book under a different email address. Weeks go by, and I receive a text back from her saying that she just seen my message and was unable to book the day of my new appointment, yet her website allowed me to book. If she didn't have it available, her website shouldn't have allowed me to book & she also could have told me the day i booked or even the day after that she could not accommodate me, not make me wait weeks for her to cancel. It was extremely inconsiderate to allow me to have the impression that we had an appointment b/c I stressed to her how important the appointment was, and then for her to cancel, was unprofessional. After politely expressing the concern that I had been trying to contact her to avoid not being able to be accommodated, she cancels me as a client. As a professional in business, you should be able to hear feedback from clients so you can learn something different for next time, if you aren't open to feedback from clients then maybe business isn't for you. Although she insisted on refunding me, I also inquired about a previous deposit that was supposed to be refunded back to me b/c it abided by her cancellation policy and not only did I get no response. I sent her another text that same night politely asking if she can confirm the refund for the deposits, and I got no response that day or the day after so I had to text her again and chase her down for MY money. PrettybyTraci did not respect me or my time and I really hope her actions can change for the next client. I also hope that this horrible incident of business does not represent how Sola Salon allows stylists to treat their clients. Very distasteful representation from PrettybyTraci. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Sola Salon hairstylist Mykala! Not only is she the hair doctor she styled my hair like no other. Overall, great energy vibes and experience. I highly recommend if you're looking for a hairstylist not only to style but be a nutritionist/doctor to your hair. I noticed that all her clients walking in either before or after me their hair was healthy! She doesn't believe in Double BOOKING! andrew took around a week to answer . and then the day of he wanted to cancel my appointment and moved around my appointment several times . but i asked him if i could still get a haircut . there was my mistake . he cut off wayyy more than what i had asked . and cut my bangs sooo bad . not even a reassurance of where i wanted them it was the first thing he did . he also cut the side burn area , idk why he grabbed hair there . those aren't bangs . now i have super short pieces in the front of my face and on the sides of my face ? loooks super awkward and gave me layers when i had not asked for that . some of the pieces in the front are longer than the other so i have to fix it . overall not what the picture looked like at all . i wish i would have never went . and also super expensive for just a "regular" cut that was nothing of what i had asked for . i just wanted to leave . im super disappointed and had high hopes . 0 stars . read more
