I hate this place. I wouldn't recommend it to absolutely anyone. I would ask for a basic almond set and they would always try to convince me to do something else. You can see in this photo the "french tip" is clearly not a french tip, they didn't even try. You'll notice only the tips are done, there's no curve on the sides like there should be. The acrylics here are extremely low quality and just so poorly done. They would always break within a week. I remember one of the employees being so rude and aggressive saying "you don't know how to dry your hands" when they absolutely were dry. I was a great customer and their vibe consistently remained so passive aggressive, lazy and unprofessional. I've been to literally all the nail salons in Bloomington & this one is 10/10 the worst of them all. read more

Usually do a basic gel manicure at home so I wanted to go to a salon to get an intermediate design that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to do at home. I usually love Soho for nails and decided to get my toes done. I'm a college student and decided to spend $40 on a pedicure to relax me during finals week and walked out upset and not relaxed. The lady filed and painted my toes fine but when it came to scrubbing, a hot towel, or massage it was completely lazy. I had a gel fill on an acrylic set. My experience in the salon was amazing! I had a great talk with my guy and it was pretty speedy! However, i noticed quickly that a majority of my nails have no acrylic on them... it was completely filed off. So in less than a week five of my nails have cracked down the middle and two have just snapped off in my sleep!!! I always have a great experience having my nails done here. They get me in and out in a timely manner and I love there gel color options.

This was the worst spa pedicure I've ever received. The spa pedicure came with a scrub and a massage, and I was expecting a 10mins massage like any place that I've ever been to, but she massages me for about 2 mins total. I felt ripped off, I paid an extra $12 essentially to have someone spend less than a minute to scrub my legs very very lightly and 2 mins to massage me again very very lightly. The entire experience from removing my gel pedicure to the end lasted 25mins. And the polish was't even. Overall, very disappointed. read more

I called them around noon to see if I need to make an appointment but they offer walk-ins. Walked in at 4:30 and they got me seated right away. I got an appointment quickly, which was great. However, my nail technician was rude and was rushing through the process (mani/pedi). I could tell he wasn't letting the light set for the whole time. My polish was getting all over. This morning I noticed a big bubble under one of my nails and I pushed on it and polish came out...now my gel is peeling up on that nail. It was not a good experience and I will not be returning. I heard good reviews from others but this was my first and last visit to soho. read more

I was I town and in need of a Pedi. I looked on Yelp! and found several options. I decided on this place, gave them a call to see if I could walk in when I got across town and they said yes. This place was a smidge cluttered but clean. I got a hot stone pedicure with a gel polish upgrade. I was very satisfied. She polished my toes before the massage, which was perfect. I was happy to see it done this way as the oils and lotions used can keep the gel from adhering well. The only negative I would have is that I didn't see color options available other than what was on the racks. They had some specialty polishes I would have loved to use, but that will be next time. They had exactly what I was looking for which is other options for gel top coats that previously I could only find in big city salons. They did a gel polish change on my fingers while I got a pedicure which was super efficient and got me in and out. You can tell they care about the quality and took additional steps that a lot of other places skip. They were also very patient when I changed my mind on the nail color about a million times and kept getting up from my pedicure to pick a different color. Went in for a pedi and the woman grabbed a pair of USED, DIRTY medical gloves, started blowing into them to re-open them up and tried to put them on to start my pedi!! I was like, "wait- what are you doing?? Are those dirty??" And she just said "oh- ok" and then put on clean gloves. No apologies, no explanation. Wait- WHAT?! And she wadded up the dirty gloves and put them back on her cart, not in the trash. Probably saved them for her next victim. I'm so mad at myself for not just walking out at that point, but I stayed (arg!) At then end of the service she gave me her card- as if I'd be back, lol. The acrylics were filed completely crooked, and nail polish was clumpy and uneven and the man who did my nails was extremely rude and impatient. Never going there again. read more

Today I had an appointment scheduled at 10 with Johnny. I arrived 15 min early. At 10:10 I was told he was not going to make it in on time. I scheduled yesterday at 3, not weeks ago. A nice lady asked if she could do them. I asked for a new set with the ombré look. I even said we could polish them to achieve the look. She assured me we could do pink and white. My nails are brown at the bottom, pink in the middle and white at the top. Looks like I have a fungus bc it's so brown. I'm very upset. It was a waste of my 2.5 hours and my $70. Yes, $60 for a full set of nails!! As a local salon owner, I can't believe that you wouldn't show up for a client! Even when he did show up 45 minutes later he said hi. No apology or anything! My nails look terrible, I have to go to another place and have them fixed which will cost even more money and more of my time. I do not recommend this place read more

As for manicures and pedicures there are many color and brand choices and they are well displayed. As for sanitation, it seemed as though all of the tools and stations were cleaned thoroughly. I was loyal to another nail salon before I tried SoHo, and now I'll never go to any place but Soho! My regular polish pedicures never chip! I can keep it on for a month with no problems. The hot stone massage is well worth the extra $10. The really take their time with the massage and coupled with the lavender oil they use, it's so relaxing. Okay so I've visited this nail salon in the past and they've always done well on my natural nails when they could. The past two times I've tried to do a walk in they were so overbooked so this time I was sure to call ahead and schedule. I called and the lady on the phone assured me 1:00 would be fine for a fill and pedi. When I get there they tell me they no longer have time for a fill in because they were understaffed so I just asked them to remove my acrylic and I'll just do the pedi. Next my water for my pedi was cold. After my pedi was done I waited another 40 min to get my acrylic removed. They told me my acrylic was too thick and sent me out the salon with my nails looking terrible! They didn't even try. I work in a professional setting and my nails must look acceptable so I wound up going up the street to nail studio and they removed my nails in 5 minutes without soaking them . read more

I don't understand why removing my gel acrylic nails cost $20 not including tip. It literally took her 15-20 minutes because my nails had been on for so long. The standard for removal is $10-$15 so I was shocked when the service did not exceed expectations yet I paid more for it than expected. read more
