I have had my service done twice nice with Alexia and she is great, she's so quick that you don't feel it, and literally after she rips she places so it kills the sting. I had gone for a 60 minute deep tissue massage with aromatherapy and hot towels. This was my first experience at a deep tissue massage so I don't have a frame of reference, but I really liked the experience. Jozette was extremely warm and professional. She made sure I was comfortable at all time, checked with me about the temperature of towels, pressure etc. She asked me which areas I needed her to focus on and did a good job of targeting them. Oh how I love this place! Just walking into the entrance you start to feel calm, the waterfall, the greenery are all preparing you for a relaxing experience like no other. You check in and are immediately taken to the room or you go to a central waiting area that is closed from the rest of the spa. There is tea, water and magazines to keep you occupied but we were only there a minute or two before being taken to the infrared sauna room. There we were given water and towels, a run down of how everything works and we were ready to go. My husband and I did 45 minutes and although it was 140 degrees we both felt relaxed and comfortable. Whew-it definitely warms you up! Afterwards, stepping out into the much cooler room you instantly start to dry off and you don't feel like you just ran a marathon as I had thought you would. I downed the cold water they give you and we were off! Excellent experience with the sauna, the staff is very professional and the entire spa is spotless. Can not wait to try the other services here like massage, the hydrotherapy tub and maybe the sugaring just to name a few. read more

I'm so glad I found Tranquil Vibe - I've been amazed by the quality and level of service every time I go. I most frequently visit for bikini waxes. The service is quicker and less painful than I've ever experienced. Darla and the other aestheticians who I've been scheduled with are extremely professional, approachable, and super committed to making sure I'm happy with the end result. I appreciate that I'm given a number of options to help me feel most comfortable with a process that's so... welll, unavoidably uncomfortable. It's over before I know it and I'm always glad I went! I've also had a few hot stone Swedish massages by Julie. The only problem with this experience is that I can't have it on a weekly basis! Julie is fantastic. She's kind and makes it easy to keep the communication open during the massage to ensure you're getting the level of pressure you want, while still making sure you can enjoy the quiet time. As a mama - I **need** this quiet time. The first few times I visited I was still nursing and Julie gave me a few options to help me feel comfortable on the table. Just recently I went to see Christine for a spray tan. Can we get real for a second? Being naked in front of a stranger is the stuff of nightmares. This girl is just so sweet, so lighthearted about the whole experience. I will never go into a booth or try a DIY tan again! I loved the product they used at Tranquil Vibe. It smelled nice, came with specific care instructions and lasted 5-6 days on me (an obsessive showerer). I was amazed at how affordable it was too! Nearly every time I call or go in I'm greeted by McKenzie. She's so friendly and efficient. Regardless of what service I'm in for, I love that I'm taken to a quiet waiting room with dim lighting and serene music. These little moments and the attention to detail from the staff make every experience so incredible for me. I've been going to this spa for waxing services every month for a year now. When I first came here, I was really nervous as it was my first time getting a wax. My estitician Taylor was great, she let me know what to expect and always checked on how I was doing. She is really good at what she does and I've never been disappointed with a wax. I can tell she is confident in her skills. She made an experience that can be awkward comfortable. I also really enjoy chatting with her. I have also received a facial there one time. It was nice and relaxing. I enjoyed myself and my skin looked nice after. The atmosphere of the salon is really nice, and I appreciate their seating area where you wait. They always offer you water or tea and they also have snack bars to eat. Reception is always kind and quick. They know you are coming and address you by your first name when you arrive. For regular customers, they do offer a 10% discount if you receive the same waxing service within a 5 week period. It is pricier than other places in Bloomington, but I feel like it is justified by the quality and experience you receive there. The ambiance and atmosphere are lovely- it's clean, smells nice and the staff is friendly and professional. Our massages were amazing- You could tell that the masseuses really knew what they were doing. The spa charges $10 each for hot towels and aromatherapy, which I feel is excessive.. I booked my first cryotherapy session for today. The staff was friendly. Prior to the actual cryotherapy session, my assigned attendant walked me through the steps and explained the overall process. The cryotherapy session lasts about 2 minutes (LOL - it does it cold inside during those two minutes - burr). The attendant is just outside the chamber to ensure that you are doing okay. I just recently had a 90 minute massage with Lisa. One of the best massages I have had in town. She was very good and I'm pretty sure the massage was not a 'cookie cutter' massage routine. Very impressed. I will be back. Lisa took me on a tour of the facility and the place is very nice, not to mention they have the deepest hydrotherapy tub I have seen. Perhaps a facial is in my near future. :) I must also add that the location is very convenient. I don't like going downtown to get a massage because parking is a pain. Vibe Day Spa has their own parking lot. Also, they have a very nice outside sitting area with a wooded/creek view, something the downtown spas cannot possibly have. read more

I have been to tranquil vibe several times for waxing. My experience with waxing has been mainly positive, especially compared to other Bloomington locations. I appreciate that they truly do have a spa atmosphere and use sheets and towels on the beds so it doesn't feel like I'm in a doctor's office. My waxes have been fine. They are not as good as services I have had when I lived in Atlanta and California, but compared to other services I have experienced in Bloomington, they are probably the best. It is pricey, especially when compared to waxes I have had in bigger cities, but I understand that there are few options here so businesses can charge more. I thought I would also try a massage and facial. I am getting married soon and wanted to up my skincare regime. I was honestly disappointed. The aesthetician tried to recommend other products and services but it felt more like a sales pitch than a quality recommendation. She didn't seem very confident. I'm not an expert when it comes to facials, but it really didn't seem like anything special, and again, was a little pricey considering what I got. I will probably look for other options in the future. The massage was probably the most disappointing part of my day. I have had many massages and prior to my move to Bloomington was getting a massage once a month due to a lot of tension in my neck, back, and shoulders from a car accident. I indicated on the paperwork that I wanted her to target those areas and asked her to do the same at the start. She spent some extra time on them, but I wish she would have asked if I wanted more time there. I also booked a deep tissue massage, which in my past experience is usually pretty intense, borderline painful, but gets the job done. This was not a deep tissue massage and the masseuse didn't once check in on the pressure or how I was feeling. I agree with another reviewer that the massage was very generic. Nothing special and certainly not worth the money. The day spa is clean and relaxing. The people are nice and down to earth. It's fine and will get the job done here in Bloomington, but I don't think the quality of the services warrant the price. I will probably keep going for waxes, but look for other options or just not spend the money on facials and massages. My rating would be lower if this were in another location, but given the lack of options in Bloomington, I feel like this is fair. read more

I have found the most wonderful spa place in the world in the Tranquil Vibe Day Spa! The spa is so clean and tranquil, and the staff is so nice and kind. My first visit was to get a deluxe facial that was given to me as a gift. I started going for monthly facials with Bri, to whom I mentioned that I have a lot of problems falling to sleep and staying sleep at night, and that it was getting worse. She suggested I try the Infrared Sauna, which is a service they also provide at the spa. So, I started going once a week for a 30 minute session. Thankfully, Bri was right! So far, I've had three sessions, and I can tell already that my sleep patterns and depth are improving! I am so happy to have found Tranquil Vive Day Spa and Bri! read more

This spa is wonderful!! From the second I walked in I felt relaxed and the front desk staff were so kind and helpful. I got a brazilian wax with Donna. She was very personable and got the wax done quickly and with the least amount of pain possible. She did great on filling me in about what she was doing so I wasn't worried. The pricing is a little higher than other places in Bloomington, but they do offer a 10% discount if you schedule your next wax I believe 4-5 weeks out from your initial appointment.
