Over the weekend I went in for a tropical fruit anti aging peel and the service was fantastic! The spa was super relaxing and the bed was even heated. ..it all added up making this my favorite spa. I have been going to Tranquility Vibe Day Spa for some cryotherapy sessions followed by the hydro-massage table. The cryotherapy gives me relief from inflammation pain for a couple of days. Such a unique experience. The time in the cold goes by quick, and the equipment is state of the art. The hydro-massage table warms me right up afterward. Great combo! read more

Because of all the great reviews, I decided to splurge and go in for a 60-minute deep tissue. Everyone was very nice and professional-- they even squeezed me in for a same day appointment. My therapist was Adam. He was very welcoming and kind. The low rating is because I definitely wouldn't call what I got a deep tissue massage. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice massage. But for the money I paid (which was a lot), I definitely thought I would get a good deep tissue. I identified three spots that were really bothering me and said I didn't want to focus just on those, but really wanted him to dig into those three spots. Even after I asked for more pressure, the touch is what I would equate to mild at best. My neck (my biggest tender spot that I wanted rubbed out) got maybe two minutes of attention at the very end of the hour. Really nice spa, very clean, and very friendly people. But if you're going in for a deep tissue, I'd reconsider, especially given the prices. read more

TRUST ME ON THIS. Have been here with my sisters multiple times. This spa is great BUT ONLY for facials. Book with Darla for a facial and she'll take great care of your face. For a massage, though, BOOK ELSEWHERE. Flimsy technique, not many techniques, massage therapists do not respond well to polite requests for adjustments, cold hands, massage oil (they actually use creams, which is nice) can sometimes be cold and unpleasant. Owners Lori and Eric(?) are nice and very accommodating. Just wish they would try other spas' massages to see how the more skilled massage therapists do a simple Swedish massage differently than their own massage therapists do. 3 stars only for the very soft spa robes and for Darla. 1 star for the massages, sorry to say... read more

I scheduled the honey spa package and it was amazing. It included the hydrotherapy bath, exfoliation and a massage. It was a luxurious, relaxing experience. Scheduled a facial and a massage with a friend. Booked separate massages and facials together. They did that backwards. I have been in pain from my massage for nearly 5 days. She didn't work on any of the areas I indicated. When I would say "ow" she would continue to press into the area she was hurting. I used to get a massage weekly at a different location (I also saw a chiropractor weekly, as I was involved in athletics) and have never been in pain like I am now. I recently came in town for a visit, and my family and I really wanted to check this place out. As soon as we walked in there was a sense of peace- "tranquility" if you will. A certain calm takes you over that is really hard to describe. Once we entered we were given a tour. Since we had never been this was a great way to see what they had to offer, and get a sense of what we would get if we scheduled an appointment. I personally had never seen anything like it. All the rooms are beautiful and well designed for multiple services at a time which only aides in the relaxation of it all. So once we were given the grand tour we had to get something done...it was too good to resist. This place is amazing. We were able to schedule various services including: massages, a facial, and hydrotherapy session. Everything we received was amazing! They were very flexible with scheduling, and everyone in my family felt like jello when we left. Thank you all at Tranquil Vibe for such an awesome experience! We will be back very soon! read more

Please be forewarned that the "relaxation massage" means less a massage, and more a gentle rub. I have a challenging area on my back that the masseuse did not address in the relaxation massage, even when I asked, advising me to come back for the deep tissue. This might already be understood by everyone, but I just wanted to let people know that paying $80 for an hour of that when you have genuine muscle issues--well, you may want to opt for another place. read more

I MISS YOU TRANQUIL VIBE! I was a regular customer but then moved to Indy for a new job. I went to have my first massage in Indy since leaving Bloomington and it made me really appreciate the staff and care taken by Tranquil Vibe. Rather than blast the place I went, let me share things that Tranquil Vibe does that they didn't do. I support filling out paperwork before your first visit, to list your own issues and be sure you know what is ahead. I am happy to have the therapist ask me before the massage if I have any problem areas. I appreciate that the music is soft and truly background sounds. It makes a difference that I don't hear everything else that's going on in the spa (other voices, machinery running, etc.). When the massage was done, I like feeling that I could take my time getting off the table and emerging into slightly brighter light and then more full light, when I've been in a darkened room for an hour. I enjoy thanking the therapist as I leave the massage room and being able to ask her questions of areas she might have felt that need my attention. And I happily give a tip to her and receive a genuine "thank you for coming" as I leave. Tranquil Vibe, you are a true gem and a marvelous, consistent customer-oriented spa. I MISS YOU!!!! read more
