A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. We stood at the bar and ate. The staff is friendly and they have English menus. We ordered olives, pork medallions in whiskey sauce, suckling pig, prawns in a brick dough and black ink rice with cuttlefish. All were small portions. And a couple radler beers. We decided the best was the juicy and flavorful suckling pig. Excellent. The prawns were also a hit. The service was quick and it is a fun as atmosphere. The prices reasonable for the quality of the food. Recommended. Get there early. Supposedly they are open for lunch.
