Oh course, David D. You will see me again in sofrito. I just comment honestly what I Thinking about breakfast. Only you know what busy is the place for breakfast and how much to offer. I really recommend the place to my friends and family. Hope I can see you next new menu soon. Good luck. I'm already back to the place and everything good and delicious read more

Ordered $100 worth of empanadas, sandwiches, and other "treats". Unfortunately 95% of it ended up in the trash. Some fillings were salty. Some were very bland. Some had an off putting taste. Had high hopes based on reviews but this was a bust for us. read more

Good food. But how do they not have a diaper changing station in any of their bathrooms? I spotted about 6 high chairs but no clean private place to change my baby's diaper. I had to go out to the parking lot to change him in my hot car! read more

Food was great, service was not. Also the staff does not clean the tables regularly. We had to ask one of the employees to wipe down the table we wanted to sit in because they were all so dirty. They also leave the tables unattended for a long time. Many customers had to leave because they didn't have anywhere to sit. Very impressed with the food but definitely needs to up its game when it comes to service big time. read more

We saw this Latin restaurant and stopped in since we enjoy Latin food. Your order is taken when you walk in and then you take a seat wherever you like to wait for your food. There were different Latin dishes to choose from; Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican. I really liked that. I had a chicken empanada with rice and black beans. My husband had the pork with salad, rice and plantains. Both of us enjoyed our food. It was very flavorful and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The restaurant's vibe was nice. It was clean and we felt very comfortable while we sat and enjoyed our food. I would definitely return to this restaurant. If you're looking for authentic Latin food, look no further. Best meal I had in Orlando. Came to town for business & couldn't tolerate anymore hotel/convention center food so found this on Yelp. The cortadito was intense caffeine perfection, I had been dying for a fresh salad, and this was a delicious & generously sized arepa. The friendly woman behind the counter recommended the one w carbs, black beans, topped w queso and plantain. Amazing- the only thing I would have changed is more plantain because it was SO good. Too bad I had insufficient tummy space I would e like to have ordered more things to try. Spacious inside, indoor & outdoor seating options. Love the community wall & I left a book in the community library. Wish we had a Sofrito Cafe near my home in California! read more

Very cute place, clean, great ambiance, and the food is delicious! I had the Catira Arepa, my Husband got the Columbian Burger, my Dad ordered the Roast Pork, and my Mom ordered the Salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal and commented how delicious it was. The staff were all very friendly as well. However I have to dock a star for lack of changing table anywhere in the restaurant. Had no other choice but to go out to the car to change my 7 months old diaper while it was raining. Wished this restaurant offered a better option for parents in that aspect. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe was a last minute decision and to sum it up it was the best decision we made as we arrived in Orlando! The place is conveniently located, very spacious with a huge outdoor seating area, love the concept of ordering your food as soon as you walk in, paying before hand, then seating yourself. They have a huge bar and plenty of staff taking care of the place. The food had wonderful flavoring and great portion sizes. Great job on seasoning the food and representing the Latin culture very well. I say this because they have dishes that represent Puerto Rico, Cuba, Colombia and others. I ordered the Camarones al Ajillo and it was incredible. The shrimp were the perfect size, perfectly cooked and the right amount of garlic. I totally recommend the Yuca Fries (they add garlic on it so if you don't like garlic ask for it on the side). The white rice was "meh". I love white rice but wasn't sure why it tasted different it wasn't bad but I feel like it was being seasoned when white rice doesn't need that. Additionally the dish comes with a side salad with some sort of white dressing on it. I didn't eat it because I'm not a fan of cream dressings so make sure to ask for it on the side as well. My only recommendation for the establishment is that the rest rooms need some remodeling and better lighting. I look forward to another visit here and most definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for some good tasting Latin food. Pero mira Nena Good luck Sofrito!!! read more

We came here last month, and saw this cute cafe close to our hotel. It was our first time trying Latin food so I didn't really know what to expect. Food was tasty and the portions were quite big. I got the rotisserie chicken (Pollo a la brass) and it was moist. Get the yuca as your side! It was so good. No complaints here! You go in and order and the food is delivered to your table. read more

The food was good and seasoned right - a bit pricy but wasn't isn't in this area - the ordering process isn't my thing as you know, walk in, and have to order before you sit. I'm used to sitting, having a couple of drinks, and then ordering after sitting for a bit. Although, here it felt rushed or cold as you had to order everything before you got comfortable. They also ask for the tip before you even know what service will be like, which wasn't great as my appetizers were brought out after my main course. So, there goes five stars and let's work on four stars. I then wanted another drink and some waters and guess what? Someone had to get up and go order drinks again. Let's fire whomever came up with the ordering idea which felt cold and or unwelcoming. read more

Great pernil, roasted chicken, yucca and salad. The service was just as great as the food!

The food here was good. The yucca frita with cilantro mojo was phenomenal! That mojo was out of this world! We got a cubano which i have had many and this one seemed to be missing something as well as venezuelan and columbian empanda both with a carne con papa filling i will say that the venezuelan one was better. But something was missing with spices. We also got the chicken milanese. This dish was great! For desert we got the nutella empanda and this was a hit with all the family. Unfortunately the staff were just not friendly. The man who took our order, the lady that brought our order and even another lady who we had to ask for silverware seemed extremely bothered and honestly a bit snobby. When we asked for silverware, we had already checked our to go bag, she said its in there, we said no theres no utensils, she flung the door open asked the waitress and then she came out to check the bag herself in disbelief. So then she got utensils and just threw them in the bag. We left and opened our food on the road luckily we did because they did not put the yucca and mojo. We called to let them know. Keep in mind my kids had already started eating. So we get there and the same waitress who forgot the untensils told my wife she remembered putting it in there, asked for the receipt and then asked to see all the food. I wasnt not about to take the food from the kids and pack it all up, so she asked the cook in the back if he made it and said ya but it was a different order. She looked shocked, said i swore i put it in there, nope there it was sitting there on the counter so she shoved it in a bag and gave it to my wife with a disgusting attitude! Very disappointed. I will say the bartender was extremely nice and made us some maracuya drinks which were delicious. All in all good food, sub par customer service. read more

Delicious Cuban sandwich with the most tender roasted pork you can find, and I'm Cuban. The café con leche was on point as we're the ham croquettes. My friend ordered a cachapa and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Service was beyond spectacular. The food was at our table within minutes of sitting down. Outdoor area is nice during cooler months with the heaters. Whoever owns this place is doing a wonderful job of running a well oiled machine. Superb employees! They tables are cleaned within seconds and they're constantly walking around removing empty plates from the tables. I'll keep coming back every time I am in Orlando. This restaurant is not good at all, they don't have table service you have to wait in line to order your food. Very long line and since most of their clients are tourists nobody knows the menu so the line takes forever form the moment you walk inside to the time you actually have your food ready it takes about 45min, if you are in a group it takes even more time, the food was nothing special, portions were decent, but food was not good at all not worth the wait and their prices are high taking in consideration that is setup like a fast food restaurant but they expect big tips. Not coming back. If you decide to go, make sure you order enough drinks, desserts and food because if you want anything else you have to make the line again. read more

I am sad to write this as we are frequent customers of your restaurant but we had a very bad experience with our order yesterday. We live 30 minutes away and typically we eat on site, but we had visitors from out of town yesterday so we decided to pick up our food. I placed the order at 11:57 for pickup at 12:45 as we live 30 minutes away. When my husband arrived at 12:45, the cashier tried giving him an order of just 2 items and upon further inspection, this order was for someone named Eric. My name is Erin. If my husband did not notice that the order was wrong, he would have driven back home for 30 more minutes with only 2 meals when we have 6 people! So the cashier said the order for us (Erin) was given to the wrong person and they have to make everything over again. The order wasn't ready until 1:15, meanwhile our guests were at home hungry and impatient. Orders getting mixed up is a common thing and I understand that mistakes happen. However, we found the food was disappointing. We ordered Lomo Saltado and because nobody poked holes in the top of the container to vent it, the trapped condensation made the fries soggy! We didn't eat the fries and the steak was very chewy. We've ordered this from Sofrito before and never had a problem. The yellow rice with the pulled pork was hard and uncooked. Again - something that we've ordered in the past and never had a problem. Lastly, the tostones were hard and tasted like they were leftover from the day before. It was very disappointing and after spending $80, driving an hour roundtrip and having our food given away to someone else, we were really hoping to have a great meal which did not happen. read more

I was so hopeful yesterday when I came and excited to try the food. But I ended up so disappointed. The service was extremely SLOWwww. I know they were busy but it took a hard hour to order and get my to-go order. We ordered two sandwiches and fries. I begged my husband to get our money back and leave but he wanted it so bad. We had the cuban and pernil sand whiches with fries and plantains which tasted "ok" but not worth the hour wait. They were a 5/10. Busy does not make this okay. I needed to see the manager AND owner jumping in running around if food is that slow coming out (sarcasm)... obviously there's a staffing or organizational issue going on. I will not be back I'm sorry. I should have been offered a good apology and free drink or something my goodness. It was busy, not enough parking, congested inside, not enough space to stand in line, and definitely no social distancing for those who care about covid. There was outside seating. Food was decent. Staff treated us okay but no updates and they don't text or buzz you when food is ready. You just wait holding a number on a stand. Ughhh I wish it was awesome. read more

Our hotel was right across the street & the front desk recommended this place. Glad they did. We had breakfast one day & lunch another. Both were very tasty & decent prices & portions. Would definitely be back & recommend. read more

I had the tripleta and the fried yuca on the side. Both items were fantastic. The tripleta was heated through completely, and pressed to a delectable crunch. Normally most places only press the sandwiches long enough to heat the bread, and the fillings are either cold or at best warm-ish. This one was evenly heated and delicious throughout. The yuca had a very nice cilantro mojo sauce (heavy duty on the garlice!) that went beautifully with perfectly fried super crunchy yuca planks. Order at the kiosk or the cashier and get food delivered to your table. It's a little confusing to see two separate lines for restaurant dining and carry out that winds up at the same place for ordering. read more

Every-time I'm in the Orlando area . This is the spot for the family dinner. After a long day in one of the parks. The chicken breast with the yellow rice and sweet plantains with the fries also the salad compliments the plate very well. The skirt steak medium well cook to perfection. Along with the white rice and black beans hits the spot. Cannot forget the empanadas de res Venezuelan style awesome. Last but not least the employees were all terrific. read more

The best surprise of our FL vacation by far! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The pork was divine! The red beans are out of this world! The black beans are pretty darn good, too! The skirt steak was juicy and tender. Meals are served with 3 sides of your choice and a salad. You order at the counter, find your seat and they deliver the most delicious food to your table. With a smile. Fountain sodas are Coke self serve. They have their own specialty drinks as well. We will definitely come back on our next FL trip! read more

A very interesting ordering experience; I quite approve. You order at the touchscreen and take your number to your table. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious! Customer service was horrible not to mention the food. We ordered arepa con queso, the cheese was frozen and just placed there. The cachapa was super dry with frozen cheese on top (again), horrible. I would give this place a zero but Yelp won't allow me. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Cuban. Ham Croquettes - Four Pieces. Venezuelan Empanada - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Great food, greasy dessert, clean and extremely good service. Would come back when visiting Orlando again.

Visitors Sofrito for dinner recently, and what really disappointed me was the lack of front of house service. The front of house was run similar to a zoo, with orders going to the wrong table, and incomplete orders being served. Having read through all of the other reviews, I do hope that this was just a bad night for this restaurant. The front of house manager had a complete lack of sense of urgency. My table had four (4) meals, two (2) arrived approximately 15 minutes prior to the two (2) meals remaining to complete service to my table (total of four meals) I ordered one (1) empanada and was served three (3) empanadas, with the first being incorrect, and we were also served two (2) servings of black beans, when we had only ordered one (1). The topping on this experience was the fact that no one asked if everything was ok, and that in order to escalate our issues, I had to go to the swing door to the kitchen to interrupt someone who was not paying attention and speak to them. Unfortunately I do not live in the area (anymore) however, I am not likely to return, or suggest a meal here to my family and friends. read more

Big restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. My sister got a vegetarian plate which she enjoyed. We were not fans of the boiled yuka. Overall pretty pricey for average food. read more

We normally go to a Venezuelan spot a bit further away but decided to go here since it was on our way out. The location is close to many hotels and is convenient. They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. I did a to go order on the website. Ordering was easy. So many options from different countries. It is a little pricier than others. A bit disappointing that they don't do fresh OJ, menu said from concentrate. Pick up was quick, they had it bagged up nicely. We got breakfast items. My husband got the Colombian beef empanadas. They were good and the best thing we had. My daughter likes Argentinian beef empanadas. They were cold, would have been better warmed up. Their version has onions and lots of olives. The Cuban beef empanada for me was confusing, I liked the dough it was freshly fried so nice and crispy. However instead of the Piccadillo style I'm used to it was shredded beef or mechada style. The tequeños were okay probably from frozen, just like we heat up at home. Cafe con leche was good. Media mañana was pretty tasteless. I do think they're Venezuelan so I should have ordered an arepa instead. read more

Went to visit Orlando over the weekend and stumbled upon this gem during brunch time. When walking in, we ordered at the counter and went to seat ourselves at a table. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly. For my entree, I ordered the Cuban Avocado Toast. This item was not on the brunch menu (at least I did not see it), but if you ask for it, they will serve it to you. It consisted of Avocado (spread), Spring Mix, Vine Tomato, White Cheese on Cuban bread. The bread was toasted so it was a little hard to eat. I also wish a sauce or a vinaigrette was served with this dish because the spring mix was dry, but other than that it was good. I also ordered the Nutella Empanadas for dessert. The breading of the empanada was great and the Nutella was warm inside of it which was delicious! If I were in Orlando again, I would come back to try something new! read more

I am so glad I came across this place on Yelp. I love this place and I wish I had one back home. My bf and I came here for a quick breakfast since when in Florida-get cuban food. The ham & cheese sandwich was delicious.. I really wish it was lunch time so I could have had a cuban. My bf got the dos huervos desayuno (scrambled eggs). His eggs were delicious. The bacon was weird and oddly lacked some saltiness. The Yuca was good. Nice and soft on the inside. And then we got a beef and a chicken cuban empanada. The beef cuban empanada was SO DAMN GOOD. I want more as I write this review. I am mad that I didn't get more. The chicken one was okay. Nothing spectacular but not bad. We got an iced coffee and it was really good. Dark and NOT watery tasting. Would definitely eat here again. read more

Delicious inexpensive brunch. We wanted something different from the usual bacon, eggs, pancake, etc. This place was not far from our hotel. The empanadas, the iced mocha, everything was made fresh and tasted great. You can also ask for the sugar on the side for your coffee which I should've done becausr it was too sweet. The service is great. The guy at the cash was friendly and explained the menu to us. You order first and then they bring you the food afterwards. They also came to ask us several times if we needed something. Would definitely recommend this place. read more
