My friend and I decided to check this place out when we realized that a nearby park was terribly overcharging for Latin food. We weren't disappointed with Sofritos. We wanted empanadas and this place has an assortment! Cuban, Columbian, Venezuelan and so many other delicious small bites. I wanted to try them all! For dinner I got the Pollo a la Plancha (grilled chicken) it came with 3 sides and a small salad! Thought this was a great deal and everything was delicious. Decided to try the coconut flan, that was delicious too! We'll definitely be back to try other dishes out! Can't wait to go back! read more

I thought this would be a place of quality but of course you can't trust these restaurants with quality. The take out orders are really really tiny. I had ordered rice, beans and chicharron. The pork smelled old and rotten. The salad for that price was tiny as well. It also barely had any dressing so I wanted $ on that because I had to throw out almost all of it due to it being dry. They couldn't even send a dressing for it. read more

This place is excellent. All of our food was deliciously savory and enjoyed by all members of our family. I would definitely return.

I'm not one to write a review but WOW!!!! I ordered Ubereats from here and the Cuban was packed with pulled pork and was actually warm!!! The tostadas came with a sauce and I didn't even have to add it!! The fried plantains were delicious!! 10/10 would order again... the flan was only an 8/10 but still really good. The packaging was so cute with the stamps and sandwich wrap!!! I'm so so happy I ordered from here... sorry I didn't get any pics I was hungry read more

This has become our new favorite cafe. The food is good, service is quick and you can dine indoors or outdoors on the large patio. We've tried the cafe con leche, Cuban sandwich, chicken soup, and a couple desserts...everything has been fresh and delicious. read more

Loved Sofrito! We are in Orlando this week and Sofrito was less than a mile from our hotel. I make arepas and empanadas at home and have spent time in Venezuela and wanted to enjoy some comida Venezolana. I ordered an Arepa, a beef Venezuelan empanada, and tostones. They had various versions of empanadas so you have to specify which you want. The food was great! You order up front and they give you your cups and bring your food out to you. It was an authentic as it gets without being in Venezuela. Not only was the food great, they have games on a bookshelf you can play while waiting. We played uno. It was a lot of fun. My kids also enjoyed it. One had an arepa and empanada, one had a cheeseburger, and one had grilled chicken. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for great Venezuelan and Colombian good. read more

Went back for the cachapa w/ pork this time and the tres leches. If yelp had a 6th star option these guys would get it. Every server was so nice, the food comes out looking just like the pictures, the pork was not only extremely juicy but it was perfectly seasoned for the flavor combo with the cachapa, handmade cheese and creme. The tres leches was moist all the way through, the whip is not too sweet and they put cinnamon! Delicious! Never had one with that flavor. By far my favorite tres leches that I can remember read more

This place has a wide variety of Latin fare. I selected it due to the excellent reviews and enticing photos. But...I found the food and service only acceptable. I ordered the pabellón platter and was a little disappointed as it needed a bit more flavor in the black beans and the plantains. I only had one meal here and it was good, but the flan... was delicious! read more

We found this place in a whim and it was AMAZING! The food is delicious, I ordered the Slow Roasted Pork and it knocked my socks off. The meat was tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, the plantains were delicious and sweet, and the beans were seasoned perfectly! My fiancé ordered the Pabellón Arepa and the shell was crispy and the filing was so flavorful. We also ordered Croquetas and they came out so quickly and were delicious. The service was super quick and attentive, and the wait staff was super friendly. The ambiance was beautiful, it's modern and very well decorated on the inside.I will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu! read more

Great food. Location is nice and service is good. The price is a bit pricey but its very near Disney World area so that's just a given. Still beats out if you eat inside at the parks. read more

UNDERWHELMED. Wife and I went here for breakfast 9:15am on a Sunday. We chose this from the 1300 reviews on Yelp. It was OK but nothing special except the friendly staff! Walk-up counter to place your order, get a number and take a seat. The Avocado toast was OK. The Cuban toast looked like a Publix hoagie roll. The toppings were good but "toast" was barely toasted. I had the Dos Huevos Desayuno. 2 eggs sunny (they were great), 4 fried yucca sticks (also very good), cuban toast (barely toasted and no butter), 2 strips apple wood bacon (cold. Obviously prepared in advanced and sat in a container waiting on an order), and the orange garnish looked like it was recycled. (We are in Florida, right?) The menu board looked amazing....I just wish our food looked the same. Overall, just simply ok. Was disappointed based on the previous reviews. If we were staying longer, I might try it again to see if this was a fluke, but for now....just OK and 3 stars is fair. read more

Second time dining here and love it! Great portions for the price and taste amazing! Service and managers are very friendly and attentive as well. Unfortunately we were sitting next to a couple that was very rude to their server and the server and manager still handle the situation great even though the couple was very mean towards them. Saw 4.5 stars so decided to try this place close to out hotel. There was plenty of available parking (good sign) & we saw empty tables so were sure we'd sit down right away. Wrong. If you're looking for a true restaurant experience, this is not the place. The "hostess" hands you a menu, you decide what you want, then order it yourself on a computer. There were no options to change anything with your meal. If you wanted a second beer, I suppose you'd have to walk back to the computer to order it. The drinks are served fast, & the meals faster after that, & you're done. Get up & leave. It's not what we like when going to dinner but you may feel differently. The food, meh. Black beans & rice, boring. The shredded beef, extremely salty. The shrimp dinner, the shrimp were fine but the rest bland. There are so many restaurants in Orlando. For a finer dining experience, skip this one. read more

Wish I could pick this restaurant up and bring it back to New York with me. You cant find better food at such affordable prices. Plus points: Ambiance was nice with the option of sitting outdoors Food was amazing! I went there for lunch with my family and we all shared a shredded pork dish, the red snapper fish, churrasco and half chicken dish. Everything was cooked perfectly... no dryness whatsoever and plenty of flavor. My stomach is grumbling again just thinking about it as I write the review. Ughh so good Great prices. Nothing tastes better than when you get a good bang for your buck . You get a $5 off when you check in and spend $30. Which we had no trouble doing. read more

I am currently at your location and I am Completely disgusted with the service I have dealt with tonight. All our orders were wrong or missing things. We were not told the bar was closing. We were told we could order drinks at our table and we were never spoken to by any waiter. Every time something was wrong and told to the food runner he looked at the plates to make sure we weren't lying. If i was Missing rice and beans where would I be Hiding it. My drink was wrong, one of my desserts came out before my food and was wrong 3 different times. We got done eating and we're still missing a dessert. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he can't do anything and gave me $6. If I would have paid for my food AFTER sitting down I would not have paid for this. The manager Daniel was not helpful. I even said I was coming for breakfast before we had this experience. Service is terrible. I would only recommend ordering food to go. The food is great. Service sucks. Girl at the register doesn't know how to use it. read more

Ambience was great and the food was amazing. Staff are very helpful, only odd thing was no prices on the menu.

Where to begin! The welcome was warm and friendly. The food choices were plenty for any palate to find something they will like. The order taker was knowledgeable and able to explain what things were to help us make a choice. Every bite was delicious and worth the trip. Orders came out in a timely manner and wait staff were attentive to take finished plates away. Every person we interacted with was friendly. read more

Tried Sofrito this evening and it was awesome. Got to try several menu items and each one was delicious and impressive. The churrasco with chimchurri sauce was amazeballz. The meat was tender enough to cut with a butter knife! The shredded pork was delicious but our favorite entree was the cachapa with shredded beef added. . There is no emoji that adequately expresses its deliciousness. The Venezuelan was our favorite empanada, but the Argentinian was decent. I personally prefer the Chilean baked empanadas, but these are not on the menu. The kids had the cheeseburger and the chicken tender meals, which they devoured. For desserts, we LOVED the Nutella empanada, and the alfajor was also awesome. Sometimes it seemed like there was a bit of a language barrier with some of the staff, but the service was also very good. No complaints! My only regret is that Sofrito is in Orlando and I live several hundred miles away... read more

One thing I look forward to every time we visit (or drive through) Orlando is stopping by Sofrito Latin Cafe for their Nutella Empanada. That's right, warm, gooey, delicious Nutella in a crispy and tasty handheld form. What more could you ask for? Yes, they really are THAT good. We've stopped by to pick some up for dessert after dining elsewhere, and picked some up for the rest of our road trip. If Sofrito was closer to our home I would be a frequent customer! read more

The crowded parking lot was the very first issue. Someone hit my car. They need to fix that for sure. The food was good. I didn't hate it at all. Food was great but the drinks were not. We noticed several people working on making the drinks on our flights. We were excited to try all the flavors but they were just horrible. Absolutely enjoyed our lunch here today. Staff at front helped answer all our questions. We enjoyed the main event Vegetarian plate with black beans, yellow rice, and fries. Veggies were tasty. Black beans just ok and they got cold too fast. We also had a vegetarian dish with fried plantains as the sandwich. Again, super tasty. Guava juice was great. I was in Orlando for the week and was excited to try this place cause of the good reviews. The restaurant in itself was nice, the service wasn't anything wow factor, but I was honestly not impressed with the food. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich, ham and cheese croquettes, and a Venezuelan empanada. They have about 4 different styles of empanada, I think each one is made with a different kind of dough. My friend had the Argentina empanada and it tasted like churro mix minus the sugar and cinnamon. The Venezuelan was okay but not memorable. I'd give it about a 2/5. The croquettes 3/5: they were slightly cold and you can tell it's all pre made since it came out so quick. Not sure if refrigerated and used again. Cuban sandwich 2/5: tasted bitter because of the Dijon and the pork meat had like no flavor. It was like watery flavored I know it's usually smoked like pulled pork but I couldn't really tell. So it was like eating a sour sandwich. Overall love the concept of incorporating different Latin flavors in one restaurant, but I feel like too much kills the quality of the food. read more

I was in Orlando for a conference and one of my colleagues recommended Sofrito as our dinner spot based on the excellent Yelp reviews. I have to say that all the rave reviews did not lie. Sofrito is a fast casual spot, so you order/pay at the counter and your food is brought to your table. This place is a phenomenal bang for your buck---for $16, I got a huge portion of roast pork with three sides and a margarita. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better deal. As for the food itself, it was delicious aside from the pork being a tad dry and undersalted (thankfully there was an assortment of tasty hot sauce options at every table). The margarita was nothing to write home about, but it was so cheap that it seems petty to complain about it. I will note that I wish there were more vegetarian side options. That being said, if you're looking for good, cheap Latin food and quick service, Sofrito is an excellent choice. If I ever find myself back in Orlando I would definitely consider making another visit. read more
