Superb pizza place, the ambiance is basic as all get-out but the pies are surprisingly good. As a former New Yorker, I'm a bit fussy about my slices but these are a good NY-style pie. Note that I said 'style' - it's not an exact match but the crust has that elusive crisp texture with a little chew. Toppings, sauce, and service are decent to above average. I'll definitely be back! Signed up for Sofia's rewards program and was texted a code for a free 14 inch cheese pizza. No expiration date was indicated on the text. When I tried to redeem it, the cashier told me the code had expired so she had to manually apply the discount. The New York style pizza had a nice crust complimented by the right amount of sauce and cheese. It was a good slice of pizza! Wish they would offer some specials to make the prices more competitive with other independent pizza places. read more

Absolutely terrible. This was our first visit to Sophia Pizza, and it will definitely be our last. We paid $27.00 for a large pizza with mushrooms and pineapple, and it was one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. It was so unbelievably greasy that we had to use a stack of napkins just to soak up the oil before we could even attempt to eat it. The crust made no sense--paper thin on the bottom but excessively thick around the edges. The pizza had almost no flavor, the ingredients tasted cheap, and the "extra" toppings were laughably sparse. For what they charge, the quality is completely unacceptable. There is nothing premium about this pizza except the price. Save your money and go somewhere that actually uses quality ingredients and takes pride in what they serve. I absolutely do not recommend Sophia Pizza. read more

I've been here twice but I have got to say that I do not miss Miss Ellie's at all. Sofia's is far much better. Slices are huge, thin and not as greasy as the last place. The salad is good but the garlic knots have shrunk. For dessert just get thr tiramisu. Unless you like cheesecake then get that if you don't mind eating it plain because they don't have strawberry topping but do not get the chocolate cake. It wasn't bad but it was dry. Pizza here was great! Fresh and tasty! However there were a few hiccups during our visit. We were a party of three and one of my friends had a gluten allergy so she requested a gluten free pizza. We ordered a garden salad for the table. I ordered a veggie pizza and my other friend got a Margherita pizza. We both enjoyed our pizzas but our other friend never got the gluten free pizza. Apparently, the tried to make a cheese pizza with gluten free crust but the crust kept sticking to something, they tried twice. They apologized and said they would refund our money. I purchased a "too good to be gone" surprise bag from here last night. My son and I enjoyed a slice at lunch today. I put them in my air fryer for a few minutes and they were perfect. The veggies were tender on my slice, the crust was both crisp and pillowy soft on the inside and perfectly toasted crust all along the bottom of the slice. The pizza was not greasy which I liked. Let's start by saying the staff is very friendly and attentive! That is the very best part of this debacle. The pizza in the glass display that they are selling is a dried out mess. My goodness why would you attempt to sell this ? The calzones had the worst cheese and the sausage inside was cheap cheap cheap. None of the ingredients are high quality! Checked out a great new spot for us at least. The location is small but the pizza is delicious! Much better quality than your typical pizza locations. We we're in the mood for some pizza and decided to get a large margarita pizza, 10 lemon pepper wings and mozzarella sticks w/2 Sprites delivered. Here are the issues. * Pizza was ice cold and barely had any basil on it. * Wings were dry tough and tasted like they had been reheated. * Mozzarella sticks were cooked into the 5th dimension and never saw the light of cheese ever again. Seriously though where's the cheese at??!! * The Sprites were cold and delicious. My buddy and I stopped by for a pizza, after reading an article about their new location on Bitters Rd. Upon entering we noticed several cooked pizzas, which I'm guessing they use for their lunch special. Unfortunately, I don't want to eat a reheated pizza that's probably been sitting out for hours. I don't do it at home, and I won't eat it while dining out. I looked around and saw they had various bottled soft drinks and water, but I didn't see any tea. We went to Sofia's two weekends in a row. Last weekend we were looking for a pizza place a friend had gone to that sold pizza by the slice, we didn't find that place, went looking for Miss Ellie's instead but found Sofia's in its place! The guy behind the counter seemed like the owner, he was pleasant and the pizza behind the glass looked well made with just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Once we received our slices I found the dough well rolled out and everything perfectly balanced. It was a 5 star experience and we planned on going back again. Well yesterday we felt like pizza again and we were starving so decided to order a whole pizza. I glanced at the pizza behind the glass and it looked too dark for pizza that was going to be reheated, and over sauced. I was disappointed the older gentleman wasn't there. But we came with a plan so ordered anyway. We got one of their specialty pizzas because the girl behind the counter said they were a better price. And I didn't see the sausage and pepperoni one on the menu we'd gotten by the slice the previous week. BIG MISTAKE! Take note, if the older guy isn't there walk away. Honestly I'm assuming the consistency was so bad because he wasn't there. But the pizza dough wasn't rolled out well, it was extremely thin on the bottom unable to hold the toppings with edge crust that was too doughy. Thank goodness we'd asked for light sauce (unnecessary the weekend before). The toppings were very unevenly spread out. Some slices had one or two toppings while others had more bacon in one bite than the whole rest of the pizza. It was terrible. If this had been our experience the week before we'd have never returned... and might never now. If we do return I'd be leery of ordering an entire pizza again and would only get slices if the pizza looked like the first time we went. It's stressful to try to eat at inconsistent places as you never know what you'll get. It's unfortunate as it was a new place to go not far from our home. read more

We hadn't been in this area in a while and decided to stop in for lunch. Sofias is in the former Miss Ellie's space, and I'm happy to say that the pizza is even better than I remember!
