Three people came for 30 minutes, $50 base price and I tipped them each well even though I'm somewhat dissatisfied. They didn't call to say they were on their way, or call when they got here. One of my roommates let them in but luckily I happened to be walking down the 3rd floor hall at that moment and saw them (otherwise they probably wouldn't have even met me). They also scheduled the cleaning for 2 hours earlier than they originally said, which was fine but strange. My room was definitely a tough job (I live in an old frat house) and they made progress, but not nearly what I was hoping for. The cabinet and one spot on the floor are still very sticky, and that was the whole point of getting the room cleaned. read more

I hired them to clean an apartment after tenants moved out, and they were definitely affordable and did a decent job. I was a bit disappointed that they only sent out one cleaner, but it was a last minute job, so they may have been short staffed that day. Overall, everything was cleaned, but it was not as deep of a cleaning as I've had with other companies and some spots were missed that I had to finish on my own. Given the reasonable price though, if you aren't in need of an intensive cleaning and are looking for an affordable company, I'd recommend them. read more

This was my first time using a cleaning service and first time dealing with Sofian, the experience left me disappointed. I will not be using them again. I will continue my search of a reliable cleaning company that will be professional from start to finish. The office lacks communication, they do not respond to messages or emails in a timely manner and do not communicate with their staff. My cleaning was done on Saturday August 6 and to date I have not received a call/email from the company asking if I was satisfied with the service. They obviously don't care about retaining customers. Stephanie the office manager did a walk through of my house on July 21st and provided with me an estimate on July 22nd. I scheduled my cleaning on July 25th for August 6th at 11am I was told to expect 4 staff members for 1 1/2 hrs . The night before I got a call from Stephanie asking if the staff could arrive earlier, I was frustrated but accepted the earlier arrival. My frustration was because I had called the office twice days before to ensure the date and time were set and Stephanie was not available, I left messages and she didn't call me back. I was also expecting 4 workers and was told that only 2 workers were available on Saturdays and it would be for 3 hrs again lack of communication. The staff arrived at 9:30 looking puzzled. They said they didn't expect the house to be so big. to their relief and using their own words. "my house is cleaned compared to other houses they service" so imagine if the house was dirty. The staff is also not prepared with materials. I was asked to provide paper towels, trash bags, dusting spray/cloth and windex. They did a good job in cleaning the areas I specifically requested which included base boards, ceiling fans and wood blinds but they lack finishing touches in other areas such as bathrooms, I shouldn't see water marks and suggested on how to avoid them. They appreciated the tip however one of my bathrooms on the 3rd fl. I had to re-clean, I originally told them to forget about cleaning the 3rd floor because I had guests and my son was still sleeping. Since they still had 45 minutes left they offered to clean the 3rd floor but they rushed and didn't good as good as job as they did on the other 2 floors. Sofian started of doing a decent job. I liked the ladies who came and they did a decent job. I did have to stop using Sofian. But this was do to the owner (or manager, not sure). Again the cleaning was good and the price was quite reasonable. I would have kept them. There was a big problem one time. I had told them not to turn on the water in the master shower. That is because a piece of the plumbing was taken out and thus a huge hole. Well one time I came home and they had turned on that water. The shower headed was pointed right at the hole in the wall! The water was coming through my kitchen ceiling. I called and allegedly the ladies said they didn't turn on that water. Well that is a bold lie. The shower was wet and clearly had been used. The water went into the hole and ran down and caused and leak in the kitchen ceiling. The owner came out slightly earlier than the agreed upon time. I came home in time and he had come and gone in 2 minutes. Took a look and decided that his cleaners had not caused the damage. What?!?! Basically saying I was lying and trying to take advantage of them. Um, no. Not at all. He should have stayed and met with me and I could have shown him exactly what happened. Did not appreciate the lies on their part or trying to get out of repairing. They did come and patch. But never returned to sand or paint. That was the last time I used them. Obviously that was the last time I used them. Because of this, I cannot recommend. Note: the shower did not have a leak! There was a large and obvious hole where a plumbing fixture was removed and the 3 previous times the cleaners had the sense not to turn on the shower and not direct water to the hole. There was no leak. The owner made a snap decision based on being at my house for mere minutes. He did not wait for me to return and was told I would be back shortly. I was not late he was early. I had to pay someone else to finish the repair work. I would imagine I had instructed them not to turn on water to clean that shower stall base. Regardless it is more than obvious and common sense that you wouldn't turn on water in the shower with a hole! Much less direct shower head at the hole. Not a leak! Water sent directly into obvious hole in shower. And yes I was lied to in that I was told the ladies claimed they didn't turn on that water. Also owner tried to claim that was an existing issue on my kitchen ceiling for awhile. I had to push him and insist and explain repeatedly how it happened. He was basically saying I was trying to get him to pay for a repair his team hasn't caused. Of course they caused it! If there hadn't been all the lying and being difficult I would have used again. But no way after that. I had to pay someone else to finish repair. And really had to push to get owner to understand that the team did cause the water damage. Even a kid knows not to send water into something that clearly isn't water proof. Such as the wall studs. read more

My husband bought me a LivingSocial deal for "Three hours of housecleaning for a three bedroom/two bathroom house"; I was pregnant at the time and I was very excited. We've been looking for someone to come in and do a deep clean once per month to help us out as we both work and are raising a family. It took over three weeks to schedule my cleaning. I spoke to Dominick and then to Stephanie, both stating that it was difficult to schedule for me because I live in NJ right outside of Philly. At one point I asked them if I should cancel the voucher since I felt like I was putting them out. They scheduled me for my three hour cleaning, as per my voucher, on a weekday from 9-12. The day of my scheduled cleaning, I get a text at 8:09am from Stephanie stating that the girls are outside. Here I am trying to get my kid to school, straighten up for the cleaners, and my husband is still upstairs sleeping. I took my son to school and then the girls started cleaning around 8:30am. I even helped straighten up so they could get started and I made them coffee (which I was more than happy to do!). My mom used to own a house cleaning business, which I used to also work for, and I wanted the cleaners to feel comfortable and welcome. The girls did a decent job cleaning my house. It was not the best cleaning, which admittedly can be difficult on a first clean. I have no overall complaints with the quality of cleaning except that they left three trash bags in my front vestibule instead of bringing them to the trash. However, around 10:30am the girls tell me that I only get two hours of cleaning since there were two girls cleaning, and because of this, they would not be able to clean my upstairs. I pull up my LivingSocial voucher stating that my husband paid for three hours and it does not specify the number of cleaners anywhere on the voucher. They call Stephanie who texts me to let me know that if there are two cleaners, I only get two hours and if I want them to continue cleaning for another hour, I have to pay an additional $50. I felt haggled. I told the girls that they could go home as I was unhappy with how this had played out. The girls were nice and they offered to stay and do my upstairs bathroom, even though they would not be able to clean the upstairs bedrooms (again, which was included in my voucher). To be clear, I am not unhappy with the cleaners as they were instructed to charge me $50 for another hour or leave, and despite this, they cleaned my upstairs bathroom. Here is the thing, I am very busy with a high pressure job, being a wife, and raising a family. Trying to keep up with the house cleaning can be very stressful. All I wanted was a nice stress-free experience and a clean house. Everything about this was stressful. It is my understanding that LivingSocial and Groupons are cost effective ways for people to try out a service and then decide if they want to continue with the services. Based on my experience, I will not hire Sofian Cleaning Services again. The overall process between scheduling, the appointment, and feeling like I had to haggle to get my voucher fulfilled was way too frustrating and very stressful. read more

This was a bad experience. The only reason I didn't give 0 stars is that I think the ladies doing the cleaning probably clean better than a 0. First, I scheduled a 4 hour service (with Stephanie) for 2 cleaning people(8 man hours of cleaning). I had initially contacted Dominic and it took 2 times before Stephanie contacted me back-ok a fluke(I told myself). I am trying to ready my house for sale and made it clear to Stephanie that on the day she scheduled, I had a carpet cleaner coming mid to late am and it was important for them to come earlier to complete areas that were affected by carpet cleaning(or bring booties to cover shoes!). Fast forward-I get contacted by text just before their arrival time that they were running 30 min late....then I get contacted after that 30 min that they weren't coming till around noon! I texted them and said-my carpets just got cleaned so will need to protect them from getting dirty when cleaning. They (3) show up at 1 pm and are clueless to the job or that carpet is wet. Stephanie told them to work in their socks-they refuse-I give them socks and they still are unhappy--and so am I. One of the cleaners after 20 min states she has to go pick up 4th lady cause she finished another job. Mind you-they expect me to pay for 4 cleaners?????? I got pretty ticked off at this point and called both Stephanie and Dominic. They ended up only having 2 cleaners there for 1.5 hours and 1 "supervisor/van driver" there for 20 minutes instead of the 8 man hours verbally contracted!!!! They smile and say they are done at 3- so ok-I call Dominic and express my dissatisfaction - he subtracts 1 man hour of labor, but honestly this was not worth the frustration!!!!!!! They didn't even bring in their own pledge/swiffers/etc..... They said they cleaned the basement kitchen, but never mopped the floor-I provided a vacuum or they wouldn't have even vacuumed the kitchen floor! This whole experience was awful!!! Buyers BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! On the same day I had a wonderful experience with Fish window cleaners and Live by the Brush carpet cleaners,both whom I highly recommend-- just so you know I am not just a complainer! read more
