However, because we were going to be having lot of people spending the entire weekend at our place - for my best friend's bachelorette party - we decided to bite the bullet and hire someone to clean it!! I reached out to Gleam and Clean and they immediately responded with their quote. They also were available exactly when I preferred to have them. On the day of service, was only one person to clean my whole house (two story South Philly row home - 2 bed, 1.5 baths, finished basement) but boy did he take his time and do a VERY THOROUGH job!! It was spectacular! He used all of his own supplies and they were even pet friendly (since I have a cat)! This was also something they offered even without my asking. He was a very kind person and I'm so thankful for his work! Will definitely use again!!

This person and her crew came and cleaned my house for 8 hours, at least thats what they said but when I came to my house I found animal hair and stains all over the doors and floors. I took photos and sent to her and demanded a refund. She said I am scamming her and when I questioned more she threatened me and my family, implied that she knows where I am working and a bad review would be very bad for me and I should think about the consequences. I went to police since she knows where I used to live and filed a police report for her. I hired another cleaning company for less then half of what she charged and they cleaned the house beautifully. This person is mafia, scammer and charges you much more than other companies.

Anna's initial response was literally, "Sorry for your inconvenience." The next day she said she had talked to the individual. Personally, I don't know why stealing is not an automatic grounds for IMMEDIATE termination. Anna's solution the next day was to bring back the same crew minus the individual I caught stealing. I told her that I didn't trust that crew. I gave Anna my grounds for continuing the job: 1. All new crew members 2. Anna onsite to supervise her crew. Anna decided that she would rather terminate our agreement and keep my $500 deposit. Outside of the theft, the crew showed little care with my items. Multiple items were dropped on the cement basement floor. I have given many more positive reviews than negative ones and I seek business with great reviews. This circumstance is surprising given their previous reviews.

I've had a man and woman come clean my one bedroom apartment - the man typically does the heavy lifting such as vacuuming, moving furniture out of the way, making / changing the bedding, while the woman is more thorough and gets into the small corners of the kitchen and bathroom. They are a great team and really communicate so well to ensure a great result. I have previously tried various online cleaning services and find that the prices are outrageous, the cleaning is not thorough and it's takes hours! With Alexa's cleaners, prices were extremely reasonable, every corner of my apartment was cleaned to perfection (they even asked me to double check everything before they left to make sure I was satisfied), and it took 1.5 hours at most. There was also no additional up-charge for cleaning the inside of my refrigerator or microwave, changing my bedding or dusting the outside of my kitchen cabinets, while the online services unfortunately do.
