Everything was wonderful at Sofia's! We had a great waitress! The wine and the food were incredible. The salad was the freshest I had ever tasted with a delicious house dressing. The house bread was soft, fresh and oh so wonderful dipped in olive oil and Romano cheese and red pepper flakes! I was blown away by how delicious my sandwich and homemade fries were. Everything was so reasonably priced too! Don't skip this place what ever you do!

Triple Treat Chicken Parm and Amalfi salad

Good experience for a first time visiting this restaurant, food was great as everyone said it was gonna be, but waited 45 min to be seated due to busy night and understaffed wait staff. The wait was worth it, but next time I would come at 4 pm, 5 the leastest as they fill up pretty fast - not a lot of tables inside, 7-8 tops. But would go again!

Delicious Italian food with large portions, too! Quality AND quantity is a tough combination to beat.

Purchased some take out prepared meals. Not really home cooked .. sort of like institutional food in a to go plastic container.

It was easily the most incredible dining experience of my life. The quality (and of course the quantity) was far better than anything I'd experienced in the North End of Boston. The seating capacity at the first location was limited. So patrons would sit in their cars during the middle of winter to wait for the hostess to emerge to knock on their window to let them know their table was ready. It was that good and that worth it. However, the current edition of "Ronaldo's" as practiced by the establishment my family and I patronized last evening for my wife's birthday, is an abomination and an insult to Ronaldo's legacy. If you want to pay astronomical prices for substandard food, doled out in minuscule portions, then this place is for you. I should have known something was different when we arrived at 5:00, and the place was virtually empty. In prior iterations of Ronaldo's, there was typically a waiting line of over an hour by then, and we were happy to wait, knowing that something amazing awaited us. Sadly, this experience is no more.

The Parker House rolls were savory warm perfection and a great way to start the meal. My entree, the gnocchi with duck confit was one of the best things I've ever tasted (though very rich--I had to bring half home). And I tasted my dining companion's duck breast an it was also delicious (which they concurred in thinking). The dessert special was a sticky toffee pudding with bananas foster ice cream and peanut butter magic shell and I wish I could eat it every day. The only downsides were that (1) I didn't love the dessert cocktail (which was also absent a garnish), but it could also very well be personal preference and it was only $7, (2) it was freaking freezing in the restaurant. We were seated in a corner that didn't seem to have any baseboard heaters, and even though we weren't far from the fireplace, there was so little insulation on the windows we were all egregiously uncomfortable. The service was great, with the waitress very helpfully answering all our questions and brining each course with perfect timing. The food itself is on the expensive side, though I thought the drinks were normal for a nice restaurant (my other drink, which I enjoyed, was $13). But for the quality of the food, it's hard to complain.

Nothing is better than feeling that there's immediate rapport with whoever will be crafting your time at whichever restaurant and at whatever price point. Our anniversary is on the 13th (I know, what was I thinking) so we rarely speak about it to avoid puzzled looks. So on we went, my husband getting his half dozen oysters and me the whipped warm feta (literally I could've stopped there). Note: Tino's has switched pickle juice into the mignonette sauce so if that isn't your taste the chef can, and did, make up a more purist version. The Cod came with a green crab demi but I was really in a lemon mood, and it was a gorgeous sauce substitute all sitting on top of risotto prepared legitimately al dente. The Cod was a fabulous white fish crisped up perfectly at the edges. Just simply delicious. My husband chose the Pumpkin Ravioli, a favorite, and reported that although he felt that the filling amount was less than in the past, it was still delicious. Absolutely no room for dessert and we were surprised with an anniversary treat of having the feta appetizer become the 'gift' and removed from the bill. Such a lovely touch. Thank you to Campbell...we're so happy to have met, and spent time with you in that glorious restaurant!

We had You Had Me At Hello, a bourbon and passionfruit drink that went down real nice, and Whiskey In The Jar, which was smokey and delightful (Bartender must be a Metallica fan). We'd return just to try more of the unique drinks. The mussels we had for the appetizer were excellent. The broth was perfect for dipping the generous portion of bread. But, our two fish entrees were just OK. Overall, we feel the chef is indiscriminate with salt. The cod was under salted, overcooked, chewy, and the fries that came with the trout were too salty to eat. Dinner ended with complimentary Madeleines and a shot of Limoncello. We will return to try more entrees
