If I could put negative stars I would. I went to Hampton for a week with my family and one night decided to go out. It was around 11:30pm about to close. We were hungry and got fried Oreos. I then later that night forgot I left my phone on the counter. We searched from 1:30am to 4:00am throughout the whole board walk. My phones location on apple is in the pizza place AND on life 360. We proceeded to go to lost and found nobody had it. We went to the pizza shop multiple times with different people they said they dont have it. they have it. what do i do!! It is clearly in the same spot as the pizza place too!!!!! I have to use my damn iPad now!!

La Spiaggia is one of my "go-to" places for food and ice cream when I'm spending the day at Hampton Beach, conveniently located at the corner of Ocean Blvd and D St. It's a storefront takeout counter with an open kitchen, ice cream to the left and regular food & pizza to the right. They offer wood fire brick oven pizza, calzones, salads, pasta, subs/wraps, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, fried seafood (fish, clams, shrimp, calamari), and appetizers. Summertime carnival food favorites such as fried dough, blooming onion, grater tater, fried Oreos, fried Twinkies, fried ice cream, slushes, and ice cream treats (hard & soft serve). The food is made to order. I went here last weekend as they were opening up for the season. The prices are moderate, but fair since it's located at a very busy prime location: In 2009, prices (before tax) were Pizza: $2.25-$3.25/slice or $11.99-$17.99 for ex-large pie-one size Pasta plates: $6.95-$10.95 Hamburger or hot dog platter: $6.99 Subs/wraps: $5.95-$7.50 I got a slice of cheese pizza ($2.25), spaghetti & meatballs ($7.95-al dente pasta with 5 meatballs & marinara sauce cooked to order), and FRIED OREOs ($4.00) for dessert, one of my all time favorite sweet treats, great with ice cream! FREE DELIVERY, pickup until 1:00AM

The ice cream options are plentiful and were branded Hershey's. I had the PB Cup which was delicious and a great size for a small. The rest of the family enjoyed theirs as well. There are a lot of ice cream places along the boardwalk, but combo this place with mini golf, walking over from the beach or a visit after lunch/dinner at some of the decent eateries close by and you can't go wrong. Seating options were limited, but the prices were great and the staff was friendly.

I had black raspberry and I feel like they gave me black cherry instead. I asked for a cone and the girl hands me a soft serve cone dumped into a cup and said it was "impossible" to do anything else because it was too soft and wouldn't hold. It was terrible, I took a few spoonfuls and threw it away. Had a tasteless icy flavor, but also with a gross "fake" taste. Not creamy at all. My daughter had chocolate vanilla twist and it too was tasteless and icy, not at all creamy. Some of the worst soft serve ice cream I have ever tasted. Keep walking, I'm sure any of the other ice cream locations are better, they'd have to be. This place is terrible.

We walked in and were "greeted" by the two bitchiest girls I have ever come across. I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time and felt so un-welcomed. It literally killed me to tip the girl just a dollar. On top of the disgraceful service, there were hundreds of signs around the ice cream stand that explained their rules for their customer. Ex: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR FLAVOR. Though these are completely understandable, they are all written in ways that made me feel like I was being yelled at. The owner/manager, Rachel I believe, is extremely rude and is known around the area for being a hard ass. I will never go to Ceal's again. Do not give them your business. I dumped my ice cream after my experience there and went straight down the street to Dunlap's, where I was welcomed with warm smiles and happy people.

I like that they offer no sugar added flavors and lo carb flavors and I had a sugar free Butter Pecan cup, which was very good on a hot & humid day. My only concern is the hard ice cream in the glass freezer is set very low/deep and the scooper had to really lean in and stick her whole head in the freezer to scoop my cup, yikes!! There is only one table inside to stay cool and picnic table seating outside in front. Other than that, I enjoyed with Butter Pecan in my air conditioned car as I sat in traffic for an hour trying to cross the drawbridge back to Hampton Beach.

Yes, things have changed where customers need to call & order - then pay over the phone. Or, you can order & pay online. Approaching the lot there's a HUGE banner with the phone number making it easy. I parked, called in my order. The person who answered and took the order couldn't have been nicer and explained the procedure... which seemed so very strange. But again, I had a craving... nothing was going to get in my way : - ))) I was asked to wait 10 minutes and then approach the counter area, staying 6 ft back ( luckily it's marked). Then, a staff member will ask my name and put my order on the counter.... All packed with a receipt stapled to the bag. No problem.... I did as told and presto! there it was. I managed a Thank you before he shut the wimdow, grabbed the bag and proceeded back to my car. Opening the bag I noticed how well my craving was packaged.... A spoon and plenty of napkins added. Time to eat! I chose the simple flavor Danish Almond Cream which they've been making like forever.... The ice cream itself was absolutely delicious. The almonds seemed to be a bit chunkier than usual.... During this pandemic I've learned that my dentist's office unfortunately is closed... So being extra careful bc stillI chomped.on the nutmeats. All good! Okay, so the experience has changed ... And sometimes new ways take some getting used to... BUT, I was there to satisfy my craving. And this visit did just that!

Didn't complain because it was free but like, still a let down. I fear that Hodgies has changed their ingredients recently because to me the quality is noticeably different and lower. I am not fully sure about how the ownership between the locations is, but at the Amesbury location I am seeing the same problem. We bought a gallon of the strawberry ice cream and it was way too aerated. Had no substance or flavor and the texture was awful. Extremely disappointed as this has been my favorite icecream place since I was a kid. Tourists might not notice the difference, but us locals do.
