This year I decided to re-decorate my family room and go with a sectional and chair. I drove down to the Glendale location and met with Scott. Scott is amazing. My designer clued me in to Sofa Interiors, and what a find! Faviola is an absolute dream! She can literally create the vision you have in your head. We have had her build 3 sofas, 3 accent chairs and 8 pillows...so far. Each piece was customized from similar pieces that we had seen at other high end stores but that weren't quite right (size, fabric, price). She listens to your ideas and direction, looks at pictures/concepts and offers suggestions. She's got a huge selection of fabrics but will use your own fabric as well. I needed to do a quick re-do on my family room for an up-coming event. Due to circumstances beyond my control , it was a real rush and I had less than a month. I went to Sofa Interiors in Studio City, after checking out the usual retail online sites, (Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, etc.) and realizing there was no way I could get anything from them in time. The saleswoman at Sofa Interiors, Faviola, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We spent hours over a few days figuring out exactly what I wanted, the right measurements, fabric, stuffing, etc. I found her to be patient and very intuitive about what would work best for me and understanding my taste. Much to my surprise and elation, my four pieces (sofa, love-seat, chair & ottoman) were actually ready a week ahead of time, and in plenty of time for my party. From start to finish this place was the best. I was a bit nervous about custom ordering a sofa because some of the things I've seen looked "homemade." Faviola worked with me from doing the dimensions, fabric, and design functionality. What I liked a lot is that she knew what she was doing and her suggestions made perfect sense. She also did not try to oversell on product simply because my clients are wealthy. When the sofa was finished I went to look at it at the warehouse in Glendale. Everyone was very nice and also suggested a more sturdier foam backing and explained why. The price increase was very insignificant so we went for it. When the finished product arrived it exceeded my expectations. We could not be happier. The lines are clean and it looks very well-made. Scott is incredibly knowledgeable about furniture and upholstery. We first met him when we wanted to replace the cushion padding in our Bernhardt sofa. He recommended the perfect cushions that will allow us to use our beloved sofa for a long time. We went back to him to get some mid-century modern dining chairs re-upholstered as well. They are beautiful! He replaced the back and seat cushions and webbing. He even scotch guarded the fabric so we could maintain over time. Although I am not currently in the market for a sofa, I did pick up a couple of wall hanging mirrors from them. The prices were very reasonable.
