Eric responded to my inquiry on Yelp and the rest was smooth sailing! I was hesistant because I live in Oxnard and wanted someone closer or at least in Ventura County. I got 3 estimates for new foam inserts and decided to go with EDC. Eric picked them up on a Sunday and they were done by Tuesday. He did a great job on two 60-year-old cushion covers that are in very delicate condition. The zipper was also replaced. I didn't think it was possible to do that because of the poor condition of the fabric. It is such an improvement. I needed a number of high-end outdoor furniture pieces reupholstered: a day bed, a set of chairs and a bench, as well as cushions for a built-in seating area around my hot tub. I contracted with this company and made a deposit of $1,400 in November for installation of center shelves for a linen closet I had built. I liked the owners who appeared affable and professional. The shelves were installed this week (almost 3 months later) and I was deeply disappointed in the quality and installation of the work. As you can see from the pictures they did a dismal job and I not only had to insist they improve the work, but also instructed the owners on what to do. As well, they didn't discard any trash. Finally, the owner had the gall to show me an invoice that was completely different from the original and claim I owned an additional $540 for paint (the shelves were primed only). Here's why: FREE ONLINE PRICE QUOTE: I requested an online quote and Eric asked for a picture and provided an immediate quote. No games like some other places played like they need to come out and see the furniture and you are charged for the estimate unless you place an order with them - then they'll refund the fee. Eric was honest and upfront about the price. HOME PICKUP & DELIVERY: Eric came to my house and picked up the chair and delivered it back when it was completed. There was a fee for this service but he even moved the chair to the room I wanted it. NO UPSELLING: He was prepared to put vinyl on the chair as it had but educated me on my other fabric options. He also notified me of other skills he offered including wood stain refinish. He even fixed the chair arm that was likely damaged in a move as it is a rather large chair. CONCLUSION: The end result is a chair that is very sentimental to me was returned looking better than when it was brand new. The chair looks amazing and they even made a matching pillow for the chair. I just bought a brand new white West Elm sofa and with two dogs and a cat and I contacted several upholsterers on Yelp for a quote to make a custom arm cover to protect against cat scratches. Erick was the only one that got back to me with a detailed estimate and was able to come by for an in-home consultation and measurement right away. He was professional, on-time, and respectful, with a friendly can-do attitude. He completed the custom arm cover I requested in 3 days and delivered to my home personally for no extra charge, and came in and made sure I was happy with the fit. The craftsmanship was perfect. It looks like it came with the sofa. And he followed my custom design specifications to a T. I was so happy with the result that I immediately hired him to make two custom washable cushions with zippers out of Sunbrella outdoor fabric for my patio lounge chairs. Again, he turned the new cushions around and personally delivered within 3 days. Although the new cushions looked perfect, I am very particular and felt that they slid around too much and asked if he could change the design slightly. That was no problem for Erick, he wanted me to be happy, so he came back again to replace them with a new and improved design that included tie-backs at no additional charge. "The Big Red Couch," as we call it and friends and family know it, has been brought back to life by Erick and his amazing team! My sister and I have had this beauty for 15 years, a custom sectional made by Al's Furniture (RIP). After so much loving use, it was showing its age, shedding feathers like crazy (that "before" picture is hardly what they really looked like underneath!), and one day, tragedy struck. They completely stripped it, fixed the spring, reinforced the bases with new padding, restuffed and dry cleaned all the cushions (13!).
