When I went to pick them up, the manager, Fernando, suddenly demanded cash only and refused to release the cushions. I offered to pay with both Zelle and credit card, as we had agreed, but they refused. I made multiple trips trying to resolve it and wasted over four hours of my time. When I offered to pay via Zelle -- as we had discussed -- both Fernando and his mother refused, raised their voices at me, and behaved in a way that made me feel threatened. I ultimately had to call the police, and only after the officers arrived did they finally agree to accept the Zelle payment and hand over the cushions. To make matters worse, the cushions were in terrible shape -- dirty, marked, with damaged vinyl, no skillset shown, don't know how to do piping, wasted materials -- and still extremely overpriced. They were supposed to make new piping with the vinyl I provided, but at pickup they stated they didn't know how. They put the old piping on, even though I specifically asked not to use the old one at drop off. The business also appears to operate with undocumented workers and shady business practices. The entire process was stressful, unprofessional, and needlessly hostile. I strongly advise avoiding Cerda's Upholstery. You can get better quality reupholstered boat cushions elsewhere for a fraction of the cost, without the aggravation or risk.

From soft feather down to a more rigid high quality foam, you dream it they build it. I had them build my family a sofa to meet the exact measurements and fill material that I wanted and RX Design Studio created a phenomenal sofa at a fraction of the cost of other designers. I will never return to Costco, Ashley, pottery barn, or west elm. I will simply bring this studio a picture or my imagination and have them build me a custom sofa with the highest quality materials available and have them build it for a fraction of the cost. We are extremely happy and satisfied with our sofa. FYI, my sofa has baseball stitch, high tension water repellent material with the highest quality fill available in the market. BUT, no piping on cushions, no rubber grip material on bottom of cushions. Both were agreed upon in the contract. He did not return two couch pillows that were supposed to be restuffed. Also, four yards of material appears to be more than enough to make the cushions. We paid $1200 for 8 yards of fabric. We finally got three yards of fabric returned to us. My wife will never use Alex or Sugars Upholstery again because Alex was very hard to get ahold of. Also, he said he could have his expert sew a couple buttons back onto a leather couch. One button was sewn back out of place and the other button he couldn't sew on after pulling it completely off.

Although it took me a while to make a decision, I eventually contacted him several months later to get the process started. His quote to me was very competitive, and even a little bit better, than other companies. And to make it even better, he included free pickup and delivery. We agreed on a pick-up time, and he was here on time with plenty of options for me to choose from as far as the material to be used. He quoted a drop off time of completion, and met that on time! It was a really great experience, and he performed exactly as requested. I really appreciated the time and effort that went into this, and I would definitely use his services again.

We also needed to reupholster four dining table chair seats in black leather, and they also replaced the seat foam, making the 15+ year old chairs look and feel brand new. Freddy gave us a time estimate of one week, and the job was finished on time. Everything was perfectly done and looks flawless!
