I've been to hide and seek several times because they have cute stuff! Well, until yesterday. They used to have more kitchen supplies from the forties and fifties and a lot of cute aprons. In the past I bought lots of stuff and furniture from them. However twice have I noticed that the staff is rude and kind to certain people. I was in line patiently waiting to ask the owner if she sold any vintage advertisements and she said no and immediately said, "next!" when I wasn't even done talking to her. So I left that time. I went there again yesterday and no one was inside. The lady was in her desk glaring at the computer, didn't even acknowledge me until I said hi to her and she didn't say a word at all. It's almost quiet enough to hear the floor creak and hear crickets. I felt awkward. They didn't even have nice things. There were merchandise from eras that I wasn't a fan of. read more

This place is beautiful but overpriced. You can find similar items elsewhere for cheaper. It is fun to come for window shopping or decorating ideas for your own place. I never write reviews, but I need to say that I love this little shop. I can always find a special gift here. (And good tunes can be heard while browsing.) I don't think it's overpriced, and no one on their staff has ever seemed rude to me, as a few reviewers have said. In fact, I've found a couple of artist pieces here that are the exact same price that the actual artist charges. Dropped by for a quick look after the farmer's market and fell in love with their vintage home offerings. While they have a limited milk glass selection (almost none), the store is very well merchandised. Touch of old meets new, meets world traveler, meets southern roots?? Is there such a thing? This is the sweetest store. I've always find something here and if I don't , it's always nice to look around and chat with the salesgirl. I found a simple pair of salt/pepper shakers here, and some great vintage ornaments. I find the prices range, greatly. I have been an antique picker and I know whether something is overpriced or not. In all fairness - I also did this on the East Coast where there are alot more antique stores, so there's more competition/lower prices. This is why I don't always buy something at this shop, as I know it's a bit overpriced - yet on other items it's really quite reasonable. So I think you just have to know your limits and know what you're looking for and how much you're willing to spend. I go to Joan's down the block fairly often, and always pop in here to see what new things they might have. It's a clean, sunny, well merchandised store. Wish there were more of these in LA. read more

I love this store. The owner is great at constanly changing stock and rearranging the beautiful virntage items in such appealing arrays. Everything is high quality and unique. I am in love with a little hinged wooden box with "Niagra Falls" painted on the top. It reminds us that this is where my wife's parents honeymooned in 1948. This vintage store owner has got it right. The store is lovely, but this is about the staff. I have been in their 2 times and both times the people working there were very unfriendly. The first time I went in at the beginning of the day- a few months ago, and the sales person seemed annoyed that she had to unlock the door to let me in- even though it was 11:00 am (when the store opens). I asked If i could come in and she said "yeah, I guess", she didn't look at me me and swept the floor around me as if I was in her way. Yikes! I thought it was just a off day- we all have them. I went in a few weeks ago, and once again, very unfriendly. The sales person, a different salesperson this time, did not say anything to me( the store was empty)- in fact she didn't even look up at me! I walked in the store and after a few seconds I immediately left. It's a shame because I love antiques and have been collecting for years, but I won't be back. read more

I am a picky shopper. I'll leave a store if the wrong music is playing, honestly! I've traveled to Studio City several times over the past few years and I'm usually there for the farmers market on Sundays, so I am very familiar with this wonderfully unique gift shop. I found the vibe calm and professional and ended up with a trunk full of things for my son's apartment in Moscow, yes, in Russia. I know he'll feel more at home now, and the sales person Kim (?) was all excited for him. Smart woman. Great items, friendly folks. Worth the trip there. read more
