I don't understand the poor reviews of this place. This place is awesome. I've had multiple gendex gxs700 sensors repaired by them and each time that I have had it done, the: 1. service was great and phone answered promptly with accurate information and questions answered 2. turn around time for repairs were great. I had 2 old eHD sensors sent in also, which they could not fix, and let me know and promptly shipped them back. Service on the GXS700 have been great and saved me a ton of cost versus buying new Gendex sensors. If you call Gendex, they will sometimes offer you an "extended" warranty after the fact, but make you pay for extended warranty and the prior years to "catch up." I'd rather just have Sodium fix it properly and save some cash. Great place with great service and great results. read more

unfortunately sent dental x ray sensor to be repaired from Canada imagine the procedures and tariffs to be paid the total was about 1900$ they claimed it was repaired,it worked only for one month then the same problem happened again,I had to re send it with more cost ,but this time they said non repairable after all what I paid I got nothing if I dropped it in the garbage from the beginning it would be much better read more

I sent in two sensors that had small artifacts but still worked and took images. They told me they were non repairable and i asked my sensors to be returned in the same condition I sent them in. What I received were my sensors in pieces. I called and they said it is in the paperwork I sent in that my sensors may not work after they attempt repair. I'm furious after talking with the manager he basically blamed it on me for not reading the paperwork. I would not recommend any doctor send their sensors for repair to Sodium Dental. I should have looked up and read the other reviews on here before sending my sensors to them. read more

for the love of God- never use this company and learn from our nightmares w/ them. 3 shoddy sensors in less than 3 months, would not even do the right thing to overnight or send us a label to ship the sensor back. this company was extremely rude to our team in the past, and not reputable, they do not stand by their sensors. If you want a shoddy sensor that will break down every few months, and enjoy terrible customer service who will nickel and dime and blame the poor quality on you- this is your place. We take impeccable care of our sensors, and my assistants are experienced and Ed said that our assistants must have dropped it. My assistants dropped the sensor 3x in less than 3 months causing each replacement sensor to go bad? But with all other of our sensors purchased elsewhere this doesn't happen to them? This is my first time using Sodium Dental and I have been very impressed. The customer service is outstanding. They followed up with me every step of the way, and were very polite and professional. It was a very quick process start to finish. We sent a sensor in and had it returned repaired in under 2 weeks. My office will be using Sodium Dental again for sure! read more

Sent in out size one sensor. Had a quote the day after they received the sensor. Then once we had the sensor repair paid for it was sent to us with in 4 days! The turn around was fast and the process was fast! They not only took care of us but contacted us to make sure it was working. Highly recommend. If the sensor can not be repaired they do offer some repaired ones for sale. (bought one of those a few years ago) works great. Service is great and quality work done here. read more

Not worth the money we spent due to their poor customer service and unwillingness to stand by their warranty. Our office had a Carestream sensor that stopped working. Paid for the sensor to be repaired by Sodium and in addition we bought the one year extended warranty. After 11 months the repaired sensor stopped working. We sent it back to Sodium and they said we used the sensor in a manner that it wasn't supposed to be used and would not stand by their warranty that we paid extra money for. Basically spent almost $2000 to have a sensor work less than a year. Save your money and just put it towards the purchase of a new sensor. read more

Our sensor was partially working, we sent it to Sodium dental first they said they could fix it, couple of days later they said the sensor was not fixable. When we got our sensor back it was completely garbage. Forgot to mention that they also try to sell their sensors and software. Very pushy on the phone trying us to sell their own brand. read more

I cant begin to say enough great things about this company. They were a life saver! They ended up saving my dental office thousands of dollars. The communication and the repair time was much quicker than we expected, and they were able to repair our sensor for a fraction of the price they originally thought. I wouldn't recommend sodium dental. Bought a refurbished sensor from them and first they cited that the usb cord was bitten by kids, which I can accept. Had it repaired for 2000 even though really it's just a new usb cord held by a wad of electric tape. The new sensor failed within four months at precisely the junction of the electric tape and the usb cord. Contacted them and they wanted 2000 again. No freakin' way. A competent repair should especially reinforce that fragile area. Also used them for downloading some dentrix/dexis program downloads and instead of what companies like Dexis does which charges by exactly how much time they take, these guys charge by unit hours and they always round up. So if you use them for only 11 minutes, guess what? You are paying for the whole hour regardless. Seems to me quite greedy. read more

The owner had reached out to me so I can take my review down and he will replace my sensor. So after they screw me and I write the truth about my experience he wants me to remove it so none of you would know the truth about how they do business. If he really cared about his company or customer service he would have corrected it from the beginning not wait till I write a review then reach out to me to make things right. It tells a little about they way the do business. The email was a clearly a sign of desperation. As you can see from the picture he posted the quality of the sensor you are getting. My review is the honest truth. If you want a cheap sensor and poor customer service that will not own up to anything then call them. They are liars, the post of the pictures says that I sent the item back to them. I DID NOT. It also says that I "ripped the cable out" why would anyone do that? What good can come out of that? When a company owner emails you to ask you to remove your review you expect him to do something nice for you. I wasn't expecting a new sensor I just wanted to see what his response will be and I as I thought he is not one that cares about customer service. He wants to make a quick buck and forget about you. You are better off with any other company. He edited my response. They sent me a damage product and refused to fix. They wanted to charge me more and I refused. I had to go to another company to repair it and pay an additional $800 to repair it. They are subpar and you will get damaged goods. DO NOT USE THEM. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. This is an awesome company to partner with. They've helped us with numerous things. Used sensors are an amazing alternative to new especially if you're supplementing your existing sensors to have more on hand. They've done equipment installations and moves for us that have helped us utilize older equipment and keep them in play where the traditional dental suppliers wouldn't touch stuff. I also have to say that I'm very excited for their new Aurora sensor that I think is going to disrupt the typical dental equipment conglomerates of the world and deliver much more for your money. read more

I purchased a Dexis adapter from Sodium to convert older sensors to USB because I acquired an older Dexis sensor with a pre USB input to the computer. The purchase price included installation which they said would work - it never did. They spent hours with me and my geek, at my expense, but it never would work. Dexis made two generations of these adaptors and finally I found the newer model and it works fine after a Dexis tech tweaked the Dexis software - Sodium never even noticed it was not set properly for Dexis sensors. Sodium refused to take the adapter back and refund my purchase. Beware of their promises and abilities. read more

When I broke my sensor ( me- not my assistant!) I had second thoughts about having it repaired by a place I found on the web. I spoke with several people there, they seemed knowledgeable and friendly so I sent my sensor for repair. It came back in a timely manor but unfortunately it did not function as I had hoped. Joe J..at Sodium Dental sent me a comparable sensor at a better price than what it cost to repair my broken sensor. and refunded the difference! I an totally happy with it. He was extremely helpful and patient in helping me install the software and test the sensor on all the computers in our office. I love my new refurbished sensor, it is of better quality than the one I originally sent in for repair. I highly recommend Sodium Dental. read more

A few weeks ago our office was in need of some sensors. We contacted Sodium Dental, Nate answered a lot of questions and eventually transferred us to Joe who was just as knowledgeable and helpful and helped me purchase our refurbished sensors. After reviewing our options online and looking at the image quality, ect. we ended up buying 2 different size sensors. Joe has been in contact with me several times since our purchase to make sure we are satisfied. Our office will definitely use Sodium Dental again, and we are very happy with the quality! read more

I read the response and still do not see where our office was in any way at fault. If the delivery company doesn't leave notice (either attached to the door or slid under it) so we know there was a delivery attempt and where to go "claim" our sensor, then the fault lies with the delivery company. Sodium should have taken that up with them rather than hold our equipment hostage. Despite the sweet language in their response, I was not treated well. We ended up paying to ship it out again. If you read this and still deal with Sodium, it's on you -- you've been warned. read more

Awesome company with excellent service. I use them for IT help and haven't needed a sensor repaired but would absolutely use them over their competitors as they are "in my humble opinion" the top sensor repair company. For IT issues they are cost effective and very knowledgeable about dental specific issues. read more
