Candy fans rejoice! This Swedish candy store has gotten me hooked! Located very close to the LA Farmer's Market, it's a clean, white interior with lines of awesome, unique candy. My favorite are the raspberry skulls. They have these crunchy red tubes filled with cream, jellies, sour candy galore! So unique, and definitely addiction. read more

My friend and I were at Carmela and decided to just look around this candy store. This place is actually a swedish candy store. It has different types of gummies, ranging from sweet to sour to different fruit flavors and so forth. The place overall has a very clean and classy feel to it. All of the walls are white and it has very good lighting inside. Also the people working were SO SO helpful! He was asking me questions on what type of flavor or taste I was looking for and direct me towards the specific ones. :) It's $12.99/pound. I ended up buying $3.50 worth of candy for my other friend and his family. It was two types of banana flavoried gummies. :) I'm not a huge candy lover, and very rarely eat candy (unless it's chocolate), but this place's candy is definitely top tier. read more

Overpriced (Swedish) Candy :/ I mean...aesthetically, the place is super clean and completely white. It does attract the customer's eye to go inside and explore all sorts of Swedish candy. But after looking at the price, I would pass. Maybe I'm not a big fan of buying candy...but that's just me. Maybe I'll go to IKEA at the food court area for some cheaper options lol. read more

Speaking as a former fat kid, this place is thee ABSOLUTE BEST candy I've EVER eaten. Trust me, I've gnawed a ton of candy down my gullet in my lifetime. I've spent many hours inside the previous candy champ Sweet Factory and honestly, I'd never go in one again, even if they did still exist. I always felt like candy is candy and how could anyone improve upon gummies and sours? Well, their use of high quality ingredients makes a very significant difference that puts Sockerbit a clear step ahead creating their own genre of Sophisticated Sours. The great thing is... It's not overpriced at all! Go ahead, feed your inner fatty or buy some for your friend's fat child. You will not be disappointed. read more

If you are looking for unique goodies to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is definitely the place to go! I first experienced Sockerbit in NYC, and had to stop at the LA location. There are a ton of different candies to choose from, and each one is so delicious and different than typical American candies. Make sure to try the sour skulls! read more

Sockerbit - The ever-tempting candy display. - Candy Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Oh lord.. candyland! This place is kind of like Sweet Factory but everything is in Swedish. What ya know bout that Swedish candy? (; Place is super cute, everything is in white - floor, walls, ceiling. Then on the left side, you have all the candy you want. Many of their items are gummy, sour gummy, or chocolate. Some of the candy repeats though, but just with different flavors and what not. Candy comes out pretty heavy though, it was almost 1 pounds worth - about $11. Things I do for food... Anyway, if you're a candy person, you'll love it! How many of you have eaten candy that says sour and comes out to be more sweet than it is sour? I have! I have! Well, this place... when it says sour - girl it is sour! Especially the sour belts, it's so delicious! It's super sour, just the way I like them. Parking wise, across the street there is a parking lot for the plaza, but if you eat there, you can just walk across the street to grab some candy togo! If not, I'm sure you can find street parking somewhere. Place is not too hard to find, but yet a little hard to find because it's on a big street but a small location. Long story short.. you like candy? You like sour candy? GO TRY IT! read more

Sockerbit - Njuti! - Candy Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I went here to try the sour candy because I had read about it from buzzfeed. It's not as sour as they make it seem, but I do know where to go when I have a craving. I will be back to try the other types. Very clean and colorful. read more

I felt like a kid walking into this store! There were so many new candies I wanted to try. As we were walking in, the workers were so sweet and offered us samples. Instantly I grabbed a bag and went candy happy! If you LOVE sour candy like me, get the half blue/pink rolled up candy that looks like sour belts. THEY ARE SO SOUR AND SWEET. I only grabbed one roll and wish I got more. The other ones are good too but I didn't care so much for some of the gummies as they were so hard to chew on. Over all, love this place and will be back for more of those sour belt blue/pink roll thingy! So good! read more

I have 'indulged' in only the licorice-various kinds and they are all first rate! Superior. But the ones I like the best and which I do not feel guilty paying the price for (or eating) are the hard candies-which have a licorice base and which are so tasty-and so satisfying. I have worked my way thru some of the saltier versions, the tires and the baby pacifiers were a great gift for someone going to a shower (against her will. We are no longer young). I wish I felt more comfortable asking for tastes-they are rather strict I t seems to me. But I'm hooiked and thank god I've not had time to explore the cold case-it's all i would need to add to my pantry and freezer. NOT (though the items look very good). I have to say it's pricey' even if some people don't mind the high $ cost. I'm used to the drugstore variety of licorice. read more

This candy store is the absolute best! Everything is amazing, but if your a first timer you must ask for the pink almonds...they will blow your mind! I usually end up getting a pound...and it's rare if it lasts longer than a day...that's how insanely good the candy is. The owners are so cute too! Love them! read more

Sockerbit - Sockerbit Scandanavian sweets shop makes my Saturdays. - Candy Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

This place is amazing. The sweets are all made with no bad for you stuff and honestly, you can taste the difference between the swedish fish we know and grew up with here in America and the sweets they have in the store. The staff is friendly, and the store itself is very reminiscent of the Scandinavian aesthetic of minimalistic and lots of clean, white, bright spaces. read more

This store is absolutely amazing! All made in Sweden without GMO and no HFCS. I don't think I've ever been so excited about candy in my life. There are so many great options and plenty of people to explain which candies they think you'll like. I opted for more sour things, but definitely get a few weird candies just to at least try. My favorites were: -the sour and chewy lips -the half raspberry/half licorice sour coin -the cola pacifiers I thought I would have liked the yogurt covered banana chips more, but the yogurt was too sweet for me. I keep thinking about Sockerbit and can't wait to plan my next trip to LA solely for this store. read more

I admit, I am a harsh reviewer for most reviews, but I have to say this is the best candy store I have every been in my entire life. I am European and I know how GREAT our candy is. This store is the best you will find in LA. It is a bit pricy at $12.99 a pound, (trust me I'm a student, I budget EVERYTHING) and yet I always make sure I can get at least 1 or 2 pounds every month I figure if I'm going to indulge, I only want the best! Go as soon as you can, and while you're there, ask the very friendly employees why Swiss candy is the best!!! I love it!!!! Tianna Marie Student at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts read more

This place rocks n rolls so hard! I love it! The gummy skulls, the liquorice that will have any nonvbeliever believe in its yumminess, the chocolates, the beautiful colors, the minimalistic design, the simple concept of grabbing a scoop and going crazy. The ladies are just so sweet and soft spoken. Their website gives you gereat party favor ideas which would really brighten up any dessert table. It's around 12 bucks for a pound of candy but seriously this kicks IKEA straight in the balls. Wish they had a location on the east side :( read more

Wishing for half stars here. 3 seems too low, 4 seems a tad high. Delicious candy. I'm definitely addicted to these. HOWEVER, some do taste like they were made with sewer water so ya know, choose wisely. The reason I went with 4 stars: I cannot eat dairy so I sent them an email regarding the BARRY JORDGUBB/VANILJ candies before I headed down there. They replied also IMMEDIATELY even though it was pretty late in the evening. They were so awesome and cordial that really sealed the deal for me. Ended up getting those, the RED & BLUE ENERGY and the BLUEBERRY PIE. Every time I'm down at the grove I will definitely stop by. read more

I'm a Persian Swede so when I found Sockerbit I was so excited to try it. If you haven't tried Swedish candy it's a definite must! Especially if your looking for some good sour finds. Parking is not always the easiest find but worth the walk. Enjoy! read more

There is no question this is a Scandinavian candy shop. The design of the place is super slick. All white walls and minimalist, designed to spotlight what you came for - the colorful, awesome selection of sweets. If you like coke bottle gummies this is your heaven. I've never seen so many coke flavored options! But there is a lot more than that. Marshmallows, chocolates, sweet and sour - there really is something to satisfy everyone. Self-serve, mix and match, pay by the pound. I love that there is no corn syrup and its GMO free. I'll definitely be back. read more

I got assorted chewy sour candies delivered and when I got it all the candies tasted like the plastic it came in. It was awful.

Scandinavian candies, yum! We tried a little bit of everything. My favorite part of this place is the quality of the candy. They state "...Scandinavian candy is made with high quality ingredients; free of transfats, colors from nature, free of genetically modified ingredients (GMO)." Woohoo! I noticed a lot of cola-flavored candies, and licorice-flavored candies. And tart, sour candies! They also have other imported products (like sea salt, jams, sodas, etc). We'll definitely be back to try the rest. :) read more

While I'm not big on candy (unless it's chocolate), my husband is...so I stopped in for some licorice for him. My hubby is very picky about the black licorice he eats, and he prefers European brands. This candy shop gave him a new favorite -- the sweet and salty black licorice. I love that this clean, modern shop touts candy void of HF corn syrup, GMOs, etc. Truly great sweet treats!! read more

Great candy but the owner made me feel super uncomfortable. I pulled up the lid for the candy in the wrong way and he was incredibly condescending. He was so argumentative and kept telling us to stop touching it but at that point we were just holding it up so the whole ass lid wouldn't fall on the floor. He then proceeded to tell us all about the "Scandinavian way" as if we were just stupid Americans lmao. If you want to have a successful business in AMERICA you probably shouldn't treat your American customers like shit. read more

My all time favorite place for candy in LA! It's so fresh and without all the toxins, GMO free, no corn syrup or any other of those added chemicals that you find in your usual candy store. This is all imported and is distinct to all the other candy stores. I love the cola candies and marshmallow chocolates. So much to pick from so your bound to find something for your sweet tooth. read more

Sockerbit - Mix of yummys - Candy Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Saw a picture on IG that linked to this store. I had to have it. Healthy candy? Yes please! Even if it was unhealthy I would probably still eat it! We walked in and it reminded me of IKEA x Sweet Factory. Very minimal decor, but all the candy was so colorful. We were immediately greeted by a worker and she explained the instructions: get a bag and scoop, pick your candies, pay by weight ($12.99/lb). She was very nice! Some candies didn't have a description and she told us what all those were. I haven't dug into my stash yet, but we got a sample of a blueberry cream at the register and it was delicious! Very flavorful! read more

I love this place. Had good vibes when I walked in and out. I just didn't know what to get. The candy looked tasty, except for the big shark ones. It was kinda pricey to be honest but it's worth it because most of the candy originally comes from Sweden. And the store itself is clean, organized, and they have the most friendly costumer service workers. I recommend coming in and trying some delicious Swedish candy. Some of the candies are hard to bite on so just be careful. One of my favorites was the berry skeleton head. "Ha en söt dag!" read more

I've been known to drive over here and drop $30 on candy. It's SO GOOD. They have a wide variety of unique and delicious candies here, all temptingly arranged in bulk bins with whimsical Swedish names and descriptions for the more unfamiliar varieties. My favorites are the marshmallows (especially the mushroom shaped ones, which are awesomely chewy), and the chocolate covered french nougats. They also have a good selection of Fazer wrapped candies for all you Finnish expats. They also have the infamous sour licorice that I still haven't been brave enough to try. There is a small section with decently priced Swedish groceries (jam, fish roe, crispbread) as well as some Swedish gifts and seasonal items. Parking is impossible to find along Third Street, but you can find abundant 2 hr street parking if you go one or two blocks south. The walk will burn off all the sugary calories you are sure to ingest! read more

I'm not really into candy, but a) I have kids and b) this place does it so different and delicious! I don't feel so bad about indulging the kids because the swedes apparently take better care of themselves than we do, so, yeah, it's candy, but do much better than the other junk. This is my new goodie bag filler for sure!! And, they have fruity candy that isn't just named for the fruit based on the color of the candy. In fact I think that they are all off white in color but the flavors are AMAZING. The pineapple really really tastes like fresh pineapple, the currant is almost addictive. Try them!! read more

When's the last time you felt like a kid in a candy store? Can't remember? Then get thee over to Sockerbit, where the colorful candy wall will make you feel like you're having a Charlie Bucket moment. With scoop in hand, you can slide back those plexi-cases housing a cornucopia of candy and get your crush on. Try the sour octopi, the marshmallow mushrooms, and the chocolate covered medallions. Scrumptious! And by all means, if you see they have the dolphin-shaped chocolate covered marshmallow treats, get them. Be careful. You will get way more candy than you can eat in one sitting, and you're bound to try and eat it all within an hour of buying it. You'll get a stomach ache. It will be worth it. Oh, and you if need a charming gift, they also have some darling little toys and other Swedish goodies. Enjoy! read more

I'm a gummy candy junkie! I've been to so many candy stores, and have eaten almost every brand (total exaggeration, I know) in existence. My favorite gummy candies come from sockerbit! The sour selection is my ultimate favorite and my #1 go to when I come here. Their wrapped hard candy is amazing, and unlike anything I've had before. I try to give myself a $15 limit every time I come here, but I always overdue it. I go home with the intention for it to last a couple weeks, I even refrigerate to help keep my distance along with making the texture harder so it lasts longer when eaten... None of that works. I can't control myself! The mouth tingling of those sour skulls and all the fruit packed flavors are addicting. I need a gummy intervention! Sockerbit is worth every penny, calorie, and cavity! read more

Sockerbit - Check out the wrinkled bag from all the opening and closing. Addicting!!! - Candy Stores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Coming here is something I do on the regular. The first time I came, I bought a pound of candy that was gone within 2 days. I love the hallonshots and the sour gummy wrench's! It's amazing to have a place to get these super sour candies and have it so conveniently placed. My only complaint is Aaron. He is so knowledgeable and informative, but to echo some of the reviews below, he can be incredibly condescending to guests. His tone isn't very appropriate and the way he chooses to fix issues within the store is inappropriate. Shouting at customers and dismissing them isn't the best solution. Imagine if he treated small children this way? It's incredibly uncomfortable as a guest to watch. I love sockerbit, but I would hope that he fixes his attitude and treats guests with a bit more respect. Everyone is coming for a fun time! There's no need to be rude. read more
