Apart from food supplies, I like the fact that Urban Pet stocks a huge selection of high-quality accessories - toys, collars, scratchers, etc - that are not common anywhere else. This is a wonderful store, in business for eighteen years (meaning, they know what they're doing) with free off-street parking adjacent (right-hand side), and a wonderful loyalty scheme. GAVE MY DOG AN EAR INFECTION, SO CARELESS!…read more My dog Kenji Bear normally goes to The Club Beverly Hills for grooming. They weren't available on Saturday 08/15, so we chose to go to Healthy Spot since they were close. The only slot they had available was the last one at the end of the day; when I showed up, they seemed extremely rushed and under pressure to finish the remaining dogs, but they assured me they had time and would take care of him. Within a few days after his bath and cut, Kenji Bear started scratching at his ears and whining. After noticing scabs from the scratching, I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with a double ear infection. The vet's first question was whether he had been in water recently; he hadn't outside of the bath. She immediately confirmed this to be the cause of the ear infection and said she often sees this when inexperienced and/or careless groomers don't take the time to thoroughly dry dogs' ears after a bath. For the vet exam, ear cytology, medical cleaning, and medications, the bill was over $700! To add salt to the wound, the haircut was extremely uneven and choppy. I also paid extra for the Teeth Brushing and it clearly wasn't done. I used to take Kenji Bear to Healthy Spot as a puppy for daycare and thought I could trust them with his grooming, but I definitely WILL NOT be back after this horrible experience.

Off to the side is a section where the fur babies that are up for adoption reside in posh play pens with white picket fences. There is also a nice area on the rooftop where potential adopters can spend quality time with their future fur baby. The staff here are very friendly, and I got to meet one of the pups named Meatball as he was on his way out for a walk.
