Gracie loves Dog-E-Den
Leon W.

We started bringing our high-strung Weimaraner Gracie here a few weeks ago and she loves it. The staff are great and the groomer is really good working with her. I read some negative reviews here, and I must say that our experience at Dog-E-Den has been entirely positive.

We've trusted Dog-E-Den Hollywood for years for long and short term boarding. Recently, I suffered a serious illness making it impossible for Ginger to be properly looked after at home. I cannot express the peace of mind I had knowing she was well cared for and loved. The pups are free to roam around with other boarders. Check in during the day and watch her on webcam, and receive a daily report card with photos. Daily walks are am option. The mangers and staff are kind and promptly respond to messages. This is the only place I would ever trust to take care of our Ginger

I mean, this photo deserves an award lol

I'll preface this by saying that we are "those" millennial dog parents. Our dog is our baby. We research everything we give him ten hundred times over. Friends ask us how our dog is doing before they ask how we're doing. We have custom-made pajama pants with our dog's face on them. You know. Those people. So please trust me when I say that I do not leave our Obi in others' care lightly. I COMPLETELY and FULLY trust Dog-E-Den. We've been going to Dog-E-Den for the past 2 years, ever since I moved to Los Angeles from NYC. Dog-E-Den came highly recommended from my sister and it is bar none the best daycare we tried. Obi comes in for daycare, boarding, and grooming. We know that when he's there, he's cared for, loved, and catered to. All of the staff is GREAT, really friendly, and they each intimately know and care for the dogs. They also have a webcam that's on during their store hours and I like watching on webcam more than I like to admit. They really cater to each dog's needs. Ours is a bit of a wild child, and they know his strange intricacies, let him have fun, and don't try to change him. I do try to call at least once a day when he's in boarding and the staff is always happy to tell me how he's doing, and they're real updates, like they'll share stories of how he's doing and which dog he's playing with the most. Plus, we have the webcam and get a report card a day, which includes how much of his food he ate. They can be strict on vaccines and the behavior test, sure, but we are grateful for that. We WANT them to be strict on those! See again: we are very protective of our best friend!! We have nothing but love for the whole staff. Plus, the grooming and groomer are also great, and quite possibly the most affordable groomer in the area. Obi also recently stayed overnight during the LA heatwave while we were at our friends' wedding in NJ, and the air conditioning in the facility was GREAT. We strongly recommend Dog-E-Den for your pup!

I get my senior pup groomed here all the time! In general, he hates baths and grooms but they tell me he's a good boy and he's never come back home with any issues. He almost always get a cute bandana to wear afterward, and he smells so good! I love how soft they make his fur, and how short they get his nails without quicking them. We have wood floors at home so the shorter nails are a must. The pricing is really reasonable, and it only take an hour or two to groom him.

Beyond upset! ... warning! First and foremost I am not someone to post any bad reviews that can affect a business, but my experience was so upsetting I have to share as a warning. I have been bringing my puppy here for about a year for grooming as well as my other dog. I started taking my puppy here after a bad experience I had with another groomer where I didn't understand what a shave down meant. Was mortified when I got her back but at least in hindsight, they had consent forms and actually cared about my confusion afterwards and handled it much better. My puppy is admittedly difficult to groom as she gets dirty and mats easily but after my first bad experience with a groomer I explained my sentiment to the Dog E Den groomer. She shaved her down EVERYWHERE - did not call me for approval, she had cute hair on the top of her head - gone! All hair gone. I do not even recognize her. This same groomer handled her previously and even in February would not take her saying we needed to go to a vet to get a shave down that would be safer and more comfortable for my dog. That was respectable. And now this time given the troubles I have had with her, she didn't even leave a hair on her head. Complete shave down without a phone call or any indication letting me know she was going to do this. Anyone who has experienced this knows it takes months to grow back and it is a deeply personal thing when your dog looks entirely different than before. She could have called me but even shaved the matted areas and brushed her out in others- she didn't care to and decided the quickest and easiest thing would be to shave her WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR CONSULTING ME!!! When I picked her up, I said I want to talk to the groomer and sat down on the floor in absolute panic and dismay. I was so upset and had to break the news also to my boyfriend and partner that this is happened again. The groomer did not even have the decency to take a moment and walk out and talk to me She said that she was grooming another dog and it would be 20 minutes before she could come out. Following that I decided to pick up my boyfriend who would also want to be involved in this situation and came back to discuss this with the groomer. She was on edge would not take responsibility whatsoever and immediately dismissed the situation, lied about my instruction and actually said there was no manager available and went so far and extreme as to call the police to get us to leave. Absolutely psychotic!! There was one person at the front of host stand, who was listening to what we said, and understanding of how upset we were. The groomer came back probably pretending she was on the phone with the police - as if they need to waste time on something like this?? Another employee there agreed with me as well. They refused to call a manager and said there wasn't one. Additionally I also take my other 10 yo dog in and she did a hack job on her as well who has always looked great with this groomer. It's like someone cut certain parts with scissors showing her neck which was chopped up in random parts- but at least didn't shave her down. So please beware! I thought I could trust this groomer as she's done both of my dogs for about a year now and trusted she understood my needs for both dogs. Just beware! It almost felt personal or like a vendetta. Horrible service, angry groomer, disgusted with this place and how they handled it.

This is an incredible place for your dogs daycare! I take my dog 3-4 days a week here, and it's worth every penny! They had a free week promo and it was the right decision to keep bringing my dog here after that! First-The location is right off sunset Blvd, right on the corner. It has glass windows for the big dog side and the small dog side so it's always a joy to walk by and see the dogs! They have a lot of space on both sides! My pup loves it here, literally 5 min away she already notices buildings and knows where we're going and gets so excited! The even better part is they have live feed cameras to watch your dog while you're away at work etc. They also offer boarding and the prices aren't terrible! Second-The staff is top notch. Every time I bring my dog in they know her by name and are always happy to see her! I feel safe and comfortable leaving her there and I'm a pretty protective dog dad! They keep the dogs safe and are always on point with feedings and love playing with the dogs. They take pictures for you of your dog and email you a "report card" and I save a lot of them and it's always good to hear good feedback. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Dog E Den was such a great experience. Premier customer service and a very talented groomers staff. We will definitely be back.

My brother's dog is 15 years old and has been going to this groomer for over a decade. I have been responsible for caring for him, including scheduling, paying for, and consistently tipping for his grooming services. After so many years of our family patronizing this business--and my own experience as a paying and tipping customer--I never expected to be treated this way. I scheduled a grooming appointment on Wednesday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m. for 12:30 p.m. the following day. When I woke up Thursday morning, he was limping. Given that he is a 15-year-old senior dog, I took that seriously. I did what I believe any responsible caregiver would do: I called the groomer and rescheduled his appointment so that he could be seen by his veterinarian and receive his scheduled Adequan treatment before being groomed. I did not simply cancel or fail to show up. I moved the appointment from Thursday to Saturday because he was limping and I was concerned about his well-being. I was then told that I needed to provide a doctor's note proving that he was actually going to the veterinarian or I would be charged a no-show/cancellation fee. Although I found this request excessive, I obtained the documentation and brought it with me to the rescheduled appointment. When I arrived on Saturday, the gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude and told me He's never heard of them asking for a vet note and he didn't know who or why that request was made. I told him the only reason I had the documentation with me was because I had been told it was required to avoid the fee. The situation escalated when the owner, Brian, called me. He verbally assaulted at me and argued that an Adequan injection was "not a reason" to cancel a grooming appointment. To be very clear: I did not reschedule because he was simply receiving an Adequan injection. I rescheduled because my 15-year-old dog was LIMPING. I wanted him seen and treated before putting him through a grooming appointment. His health and comfort will always take priority over a grooming appointment. What I found most disturbing was that during this confrontation, Brian told me that he would not release the dog to me. That crossed a line for me. Whatever disagreement we may have had about a cancellation policy or fee, telling the person responsible for a 15-year-old senior dog that you will not release that dog to them is completely unacceptable to me. Businesses have every right to establish cancellation policies. My issue is how this situation was handled: requiring proof of a veterinary visit, being rude when I provided the requested proof, dismissing the actual reason I rescheduled, yelling at me, and then telling me the dog would not be released to me. Attempting to make me out to be an angry black woman is the lamest and oldest trick in the book. There is another review from another customer citing the same issues with care and accountability with the owner. I wonder if he was yelled at the way I was.
