I have never experienced ongoing training that includes classes throughout the week on a flexible schedule. Because of this flexibility, training has easily become part of our routine (we go about 3 times per week). My puppy looks forward to it as do I!  Fidelis K9 also offers Good Canine Citizen (GCC) certification which we are currently working towards.  Most importantly: a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Alejandra and Antonio, the trainers, who I feel are the heart of the training facility. They also offer a wide variety of services, which is very convenient if you need multiple things taken care of at once. After picking Jack up, I immediately noticed a difference in his behavior. Jack is now resource guarding his food and bed from his brother, which he has never done before and is overall super anxious. Jack lost a ton of weight during his stay and it was pretty clear he was not being fed because I could literally see his ribs and when he came home he inhaled his food and then some extra, even though he was allegedly fed right before he was picked up. Jack also had multiple bite marks on his face that were bleeding, one being next to his eye. Now his eyelid is swollen and puffy. I was not notified of any incidents where Jack was bitten. Overall, Jack did not appear happy or well taken care of when I picked him up. It is completely heartbreaking to leave your beloved pet at a facility, hoping he will be taken care of and picking up a scared, anxious, skinny and injured dog, completely opposite of the dog you dropped off.

Stephanie was super helpful and gave us names of other recommended sitters, as well as providing information on their boarding services. She genuinely seemed like she was more interested in making sure our dogs were taken care of than getting us to spend our money with them specifically. Next time we have more advance warning for our trip, we'll be going with Happy Paws.

I brought my dog to her home, she checked him out, we talked about wants, needs, concerns, goals, training plan, cost etc... we decided to do her in house program where she has your dog stay with her for a month and is trained the entire time. Ursula sent us pictures and progress updates daily, it was great! Our dog was not just trained but also taken care of and loved his entire stay there. When the month came to an end and our dog's training was done she delivered him back to our home and did a 2 hour training session in our own home to show us how to continue to handle/train with him. He was very obedient, calm and content. We are very very happy with The Skilled K9 and cannot recommend it enough to those looking to take their dog to the next level of training. I have used other trainers in the past and this is by far the most progress I have seen out of my dog, Skippy. Before skippy was always pulling on her leash but now is starting to walk by my side. He's very spoiled and gets separation anxiety (and me too...) so I wanted the best for him. I was considering Pets Hotel until i found out that they crate their dogs most of the day and barely play outside. Ollie doesn't like crates and loves to be around humans and other dogs. So, I did my research and came across Maisy's Mutts! We did a meet and greet 3 weeks before I had to leave for the weekend and it went great. I felt SO comfortable leaving Ollie with the family and Manni kept me updated every day with pictures which definitely helped with my separation anxiety (LOL!). We started…read moreher at 9 weeks old, and she's now 5.5 months and has completed 6 one-on-one sessions, 3 group sessions, and many more puppy play times. I've watched her transform from a bit of a wild puppy into an (I might be biased here) absolutely perfect dog. We learned all basic commands including sit, down, come, loose leash walking etc., and have since gone onto more complex commands such as emergency recalls, staying with distractions, etc. Outside of teaching our puppy, I've also been able to shed many bad habits that I had in terms of training. The classes definitely have structure to them, but the trainers also allow enough flexibility where they're sure to address any issues that you're having, or will take time to focus on a specific command that you're interested in. I'll definitely continue our training here and wouldn't even consider going somewhere else. Liz is incredibly knowledgeable and great at what she does, our puppy loves going to class and makes a huge fuss when she greets her. I've met Jennifer on a few occasions as well, and it's clear that she too is incredibly experienced.
