I have never experienced ongoing training that includes classes throughout the week on a flexible schedule. Because of this flexibility, training has easily become part of our routine (we go about 3 times per week). My puppy looks forward to it as do I!  Fidelis K9 also offers Good Canine Citizen (GCC) certification which we are currently working towards.  Most importantly: a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Alejandra and Antonio, the trainers, who I feel are the heart of the training facility. Before booking, my dog completed her evaluation day at Folsom Dog Resort, and everything went very well. Based on that experience, we signed up both my dog and my daughter's dog for boarding from June 4 through June 8. When I picked them up on June 8, my dog initially seemed fine. However, my daughter's dog had just vomited a large amount of water when they brought her out. Later that day, my dog also didn't seem herself. She stopped eating and then developed diarrhea. When I checked in with my daughter, her dog was experiencing similar symptoms. I called Folsom Dog Resort to express my concerns. Unfortunately, the person who took my call did not seem particularly interested in the situation, and I never received any follow-up communication. My daughter ended up taking her dog to the veterinarian and is still waiting to learn what caused the illness. My dog has still not fully recovered. Because of this experience, I will not be bringing my dog back.

I brought my dog to her home, she checked him out, we talked about wants, needs, concerns, goals, training plan, cost etc... we decided to do her in house program where she has your dog stay with her for a month and is trained the entire time. Ursula sent us pictures and progress updates daily, it was great! Our dog was not just trained but also taken care of and loved his entire stay there. When the month came to an end and our dog's training was done she delivered him back to our home and did a 2 hour training session in our own home to show us how to continue to handle/train with him. He was very obedient, calm and content. We are very very happy with The Skilled K9 and cannot recommend it enough to those looking to take their dog to the next level of training. I have used other trainers in the past and this is by far the most progress I have seen out of my dog, Skippy. Before skippy was always pulling on her leash but now is starting to walk by my side. We have done about 3 classes so far and plan to do more! I can't wait to see how much further skippy can advance. Reminder you also have to put in the work. He's very spoiled and gets separation anxiety (and me too...) so I wanted the best for him. I was considering Pets Hotel until i found out that they crate their dogs most of the day and barely play outside. Ollie doesn't like crates and loves to be around humans and other dogs. So, I did my research and came across Maisy's Mutts! We did a meet and greet 3 weeks before I had to leave for the weekend and it went great. I felt SO comfortable leaving Ollie with the family and Manni kept me updated every day with pictures which definitely helped with my separation anxiety (LOL!). What we loved about Wag Time and Don (owner and trainer) is that he does not use treats or shock. He employs voice and leash control. In reality Don trains YOU how to train! Honestly I was a skeptic! By the time we were done with our 3rd lesson we ran into Don and another customer in a public place and he used my dog to show as an example. More importantly, he got the other dog, who was extremely reactive to other dogs, to walk along with my dog within 10 minutes. The other owner was in disbelief and asked for permission to take a video of our dogs calmly walking together at The Fountains with tons of distractions. It's been a year and we just finished our 6th lesson only to correct some of the behavior that my dog does in the car, such as getting supper excited when driving to familiar places. I have had so many people compliment how calm and behaved my 2.5 year old Lab is (often act as a much more mature dog).

My dog has been....... unpredictable when it comes to meeting people and other dogs, and recently decided to eat our couch. She DOES hear me when I used to tell her to come, but instead of coming to me, she'd wag her tail and chase whatever's more important in the back bushes. After just ONE session with Jenn, we completely re-focused my dog's attention and have since addressed every one of our concerns AND have recently started scent-training, which has kept our doggo super mentally stimulated.
