She was able to figure out a way to get through to them and help me learn how to manage two different personalities, ages (senior & an 8yr old) with one having limited abilities and the other running/jumping/hyper. Issue 1) walking them.. sadie the eight-year-old was very energetic and wanted to run or walk very fast. She tended to pull a lot. Sansa The senior, 12-year-old girl walked slowly and very close to me to where I would keep tripping over her so I needed her to learn space. Kristen admittedly said this was difficult to have two very differing dogs and one person walking both of them especially since I have physical limitations myself with struggling from fibromyalgia. She set up an appointment for us to go to A walking trail and worked with us on that, and additionally another issue Sadie was having. Issue 2) when I would take Sansa and Sadie for walks on the trails that were busy Sadie would often bark and spin in circles when a bike would ride past us. I wanted help with this behavior. Kristen was able to find a way to help subdue her reaction. Issue 3) One of the people we live with is very obnoxious and the dogs bark at him every time he enters the room. They don't do this with any other person. I asked her to come to my home to evaluate the situation. She nailed it right on the head what the problem was. She spoke with this person to give him insight into how his behavior was affecting the dogs. Her ability to get through to not only the dogs, but people as well is amazing! He actually heard her! He is a very difficult person to talk to so I was impressed! She also helped trained us to not reward them when they barked at him (which I didn't realize I was doing by letting them stay on the couch & petting them.) I thought I was calming them, but she pointed out it's rewarding what they're doing. So now I get them off the couch when they bark & treat them when they don't. This helped quite a bit. Not only is she knowledgeable but she is very upbeat and positive. She is very sweet and takes her time with you and the dogs. I highly recommend her and we would hire her again! We can't help but smile and chuckle while viewing online photos of our pup running at top speed with her dog buddies or taking a break on the deck. Although we miss being apart from our wonderful companion, we are comforted knowing that our dog is supervised while happily frolicking around with dog friends and provided with professional, skilled, and nurturing care. Eden promptly responded to my initial email and patiently answered all of my questions. It was hard having him so far away (I am based in Palo Alto), but I would drive twice as far to have Eden take care of my dog. Each day Eden would post a photo on Facebook, so I could watch him grow and she was always available to talk on the phone if I wanted an update. Eden transformed my 3 month old puppy into a well-trained, well-socialized, very happy dog. My puppy knows how to come, sit, stay, leave it, drop it, shake, and walk on a leash. He now comes with me to work and is the best-trained dog in my office. Now that my puppy has graduated from board and train, I look forward to using Sierra Dogs as a boarding place. Wow is all i can say, before we had dropped him off reactivity and selective listening were problems we were dealing with. When we got our pup back it is a night and day difference. The tools taught to our pup is well worth the money. He has learned the art of just existing, we can go to dinner give him a command and he stays the whole time no fuss. From the leash command taught to his place command, he has become a well mannered pup! We constantly get compliments on how well he is trained and i can't thank Julianna and pack minded training enough for all the time and effort they put in to give us this result. If you at all are on the fence about if it's worth it i'd say it's 1000% worth it and we will be doing the training with our next pup. She showed us the best ways to work on calming things down when visitors arrive, and also provided ways our children can help be involved training - and making sure our dogs are responding to small children in appropriate ways. Anna gave us so many tools that our girl ACTUALLY responded to. She brought out the sweet dog that we see all the time, but others don't because of how excited and anxious she gets over everything. We learned a ton about reading body language and how to help build our dogs confidence so she can enjoy more of this world. My dog has been....... unpredictable when it comes to meeting people and other dogs, and recently decided to eat our couch. This is on top of barking continuously at noises outside and jetting out the door when it's opened (she's been skunked twice because of this). She DOES hear me when I used to tell her to come, but instead of coming to me, she'd wag her tail and chase whatever's more important in the back bushes. After just ONE session with Jenn, we completely re-focused my dog's attention and have since addressed every one of our concerns AND have recently started scent-training, which has kept our doggo super mentally stimulated. What we loved about Wag Time and Don (owner and trainer) is that he does not use treats or shock. He employs voice and leash control. In reality Don trains YOU how to train! Honestly I was a skeptic! BUT we saw IMMEDIATE improvement during the very first lesson!! We have had 6 lessons so far, and Benny has come a long way! Life changing for us! They are being "worked " (trained) separately and, as of the past week (because it's getting dark so early and because it's now doable), they also get a long walk together. We have been at it about two months and have made significant progress (with lots of room for more!) Don't forget that it is up to the dog owner to do the work--neither Don nor the dogs can bear any responsibility for the lack of progress when the only way to improve the dogs' behavior is to be consistent in demanding (and enforcing) what you want. But Don is very patient with the dogs and me, so I can try to emulate his techniques with the dogs daily, between sessions.

I brought my dog to her home, she checked him out, we talked about wants, needs, concerns, goals, training plan, cost etc... we decided to do her in house program where she has your dog stay with her for a month and is trained the entire time. Ursula sent us pictures and progress updates daily, it was great! Our dog was not just trained but also taken care of and loved his entire stay there. When the month came to an end and our dog's training was done she delivered him back to our home and did a 2 hour training session in our own home to show us how to continue to handle/train with him. He was very obedient, calm and content. We are very very happy with The Skilled K9 and cannot recommend it enough to those looking to take their dog to the next level of training.
