A positive and engaging atmosphere is an important part of any fitness facility, and there is room for improvement in this area. I was also informed that photography was not permitted, so I am unable to include photos with reviews although there are over 1,680 customer photos of this location on Google reviews. While I respect the facility's policies, some prospective members may appreciate the ability to see the facility before visiting. Overall, the gym offers a clean environment, but enhancing customer service and member interactions would greatly improve the experience.

When I returned, a different employee was working. I explained the situation, but the headphones were nowhere to be found. He took my phone number and said someone would call me back. Nobody did. A few days later, I came back and found the same employee with a coworker, messing around until they noticed me. I explained everything again -- he'd forgotten entirely -- and was asked to write down my number a second time. This time they said they'd check the cameras and figure out what happened. No call. One final visit, a new employee, same result: no headphones, no answers. I canceled my membership. The entire process was unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. Someone there took them. Avoid this gym. pls.

I've been a member here for years, there's always been cleanliness and maintenance issues. Today…read morethe sauna was "closed for maintenance" and taped off with masking tape... no maintenance workers in sight. Out of the 8 or so showers, one had a soap dispenser. The carpet for the CrossFit section in the middle of the gym is visually very dirty and needs to be vacuumed. Frustrating, they take your money every month, but usually fail to deliver what is advertised. Hope it gets better. It has to be the leadership and culture, because these aren't insurmountable tasks that we're talking about here.

3.5 Stars Please…read more.. First off let me say the staff is super friendly, very helpful and yes a welcoming environment! But, if you're 6' or taller you'll have issues with the size of the interior sweatbox. I am 6' and had issues every time. It's just not tall enough for stretching overhead or long enough when you have to lay down. Don't get me wrong, I loved the workouts and the sweating, but besides the interior dimensions, the instructors were just alright as you can tell they were not sweating as much as I was which was a bit unsettling to me. Are they truly really pushing and sweating in a box-like I am? I doubt it because it doesn't look like it and that in and of itself of off-putting to me. Still, I had issues with the dimensions. Not sure who designed them and what they were thinking...? I had signed a contract for three months (as you have to when signing up or unless you go visit to visit) and planned on stopping after three months anyway because of this very issue (the size) no matter how much I enjoyed the workout itself and the sweating. But, since we are moving I had to cut my time short. The cancellation process (as they always are anywhere) was a bit frustrating though the staff was super helpful. It's just the process that's all. Yes, I'm a fan of working out and sweating a lot, but not in a sweatbox that I do not fit and I would prefer to feel like the person instructing is really working out as well especially if you're in a sweatbox like that.

In 90 days my body has changed in noticeable ways, and I'm definitely getting stronger. I've never stayed this committed to a workout regimen this long, and that's 100% because of how amazing this gym is. I've never once been intimidated, made to feel inferior, or pressured into doing a movement that might cause an injury. In my experience at The MVMT Lab: Every movement is modifiable. Every workout is achievable wherever you are in your fitness journey. The culture is inclusive, diverse, and wonderfully positive. Every coach is well-educated and informed about how to make sure you're moving safely with good form. The other athletes are super supportive and encouraging af. We had a great chat and made sure to answer all of my questions fully and didn't make me feel rushed at all. My free intro class was coached by Chloe. She was very welcoming and so were the other members. Chloe did (and always does) a great job teaching each movement and proving effective cues all while keeping a fun and upbeat vibe! My husband and I have been members for 2 years now and it's safe to say it was the best decision we could have made. Not only did we find a great, safe, and fun place to workout, we have met some of our best friends which has made Denton feel like home faster than we could have ever expected. Jason and Molly have since moved the gym to a bigger and better location and as a member I feel super spoiled every time I walk in. The equipment is well maintained and there is plenty of space to workout without bumping into fellow athletes. They have adjusted SO well to accommodating new safety standards due to COVID-19. Each athlete is able to workout in a designated area safely spaced from others. They also added several new programs that can be done at home for those who still do not feel safe. Jason and Molly are constantly evaluating how they can add more value to their members and take feedback to heart. Teacher training at TwistedBodies is unlike anywhere else. Before I even registered, Carissa took…read morethe time to sit down and talk with me about my goals, and give me reasonable career expectations. Each TT I've attended has included a functional anatomy emphasis, as well as anatomical terms and positions to accurate detail posture analyses and exercise positions. We cover special populations, and how to modify for just about anybody! Of course we also study the history of Pilates, so we can understand the root purpose of the exercises and why they're so important. Every training has gone step by step through the study materials, followed immediately by practicing the exercises and poses, and time for questions and workshopping. On the last day, we review the material to be tested on to make sure each student feels prepared and knows what might be left to study before a written exam. There are lots of opportunities for practice teaching in the courses themselves, and then afterwards with student teaching hours and shadow teaching. I've never learned anything in a teacher training that didn't help me at some point while teaching a group class or a private session, and each training I've walked away with at least one lesson plan ready to go already. After training, it's really only the beginning though. Carissa & Khristen are basically always available for questions about teaching techniques, anatomy, reviewing exercises- or anything movement based I can come up with! They always have very thoughtful answers and recommendations for further self-study. I've also asked countless business-related questions that they've been a trustworthy source for. They cultivate an environment of humility and learning within their studio, so you always feel welcome to ask other instructors about their experiences as well. If it weren't for TwistedBodies, I doubt I'd be a Yoga & Pilates instructor at all- let alone be building my career in this field. I don't think I'd even know it was possible.
