I had an extremely frustrating experience trying to cancel my membership. I submitted my…read morecancellation form using the email address provided by one of the studio's employees. Later, I was told they never received it because it had been sent to the wrong email address. That mistake was caused by their staff, not me. Despite explaining the situation multiple times and being charged three separate times after I stopped attending classes, the manager refused to refund more than one payment. Their response was simply, "No cancellation form = no refund," even after I explained that I had submitted the form and had been given incorrect information by their own employees. What made this even more disappointing was the complete lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging that their staff provided incorrect information, they placed all the responsibility on me. When I asked to speak with someone above the manager or for corporate contact information, I was repeatedly redirected instead of being given a direct way to escalate the issue. I've spent months trying to resolve this over multiple phone calls and messages, and it has been exhausting. Customer service should involve listening to customers and taking responsibility when mistakes are made. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. I would be very cautious before signing up here. If you ever need to cancel, document everything and keep copies of every email and form you send.

BEWARE of the Planet Fitness corporation!…read more I have never signed any contract with Planet Fitness and i have never stepped foot in this purple gym but they are charging me $30.31 this month. I called PF corporate office in Austin TX and they have refused to stop billing me and have refused to cancel the ghost membership. I was originally with TFF in Fort Worth, then they transferred me to Watauga, and now PF has transfered me to Denton County! PF states i must drive to Denton from Fort Worth to cancel in person. Planet Fitness has also refused to give me their corporate mailing address so i can send them a cease and desist letter. How unethical to slam and transfer memberships, increase the monthly charges, add on service fees of $20 per month, and then refuse to tell me their address. There is a good reason why Planet Fitness is hiding their location. My next stop is the Texas Attorney General office.

I go twice a week and it's been great, I've been able to do way more there than on my own because I was struggling to challenge myself, and I love being able to come in and just saw what areas I want to target that day and be told exactly what to do haha. It's been a great supplement to working out on my own at the gym at work and the community there is great! All awesome women doing the work together! There can be anywhere from 2-10 people in there at a time, but usually it's around 4-6 people when I'm there. It's incredibly affordable at $150 for 8 sessions and they are angels for offering amazing personal training at a price point that is very manageable! Highly recommend for any ladies looking for a place to get strength training in with amazing trainers and supporting a local women's owned business is always a win too!

Both the classes and personal training are 30 minute sessions, so it's easy to fit the time into my day. The FitCamps target a different area of the body each day, like arms & chest on Mondays, Wednesday is leg day, etc. And the coaches are all great. They each bring their personalities to class and they know each member. I love how they will bring you a higher weight choice if they feel that you can lift more. I find this motivating not intimidating. My personal training coach is Madison Sandvig, I see her twice a week for 30 minutes each session and she always has a great workout ready for me. Because of her, I have toned up, lost weight & inches and have reached new personal bests! She brings the right amount of energy and holds me accountable, which is exactly what I need. It's a great community and I'm so happy that I found this "hidden" gem.

Do your research, and if they are still contracted under ABC Financial, please do not sign-up for a membership at any of their locations as it is a scam. I had signed up years ago for a one-year contract because I knew I would be moving away and just needed a temporary gym membership at the time. When it eventually was time for me to move, I had been told by an ABC Financial representative that I had "renewed my contract for another two years." That was impossible. I knew I would not be living in Ft. Worth for more than a year. Even when I had quoted her from the contract copy I had in my hands, she said she was, "reading from my new contract," and did not send me a copy of said "new contract" after requesting it. Eventually, the only way I could get out of my membership was literally by moving to another state where there was not a location within a 25-mile radius. They also required proof of new residency to get out of the contract. I had to provide my change of address form and a letter explaining why I was discontinuing my membership in order to get out of the fee. The fee is whatever monthly payments are left on your account in total. DO. NOT. SIGN-UP.
