Came here on a Friday night for drinks. The place was still pretty packed around 10pm. My friend and I were lucky to have Gabe as our staff. He was so nice and very transparent on drink suggestions. I had the Big Fig Energy but substituted the gin for bourbon. That was a recommendation from Gabe. So glad he suggested that because it was delicious! We also tried Sorry, Not Sorry and it was served on a wooden board with a mezcal shot. Great presentation. Sorry, Not Sorry was the star. Really well mixed and boozy. I recently hosted a birthday party for 30 people in the venue next to the main restaurant area. The event turned out great! Mike and his team were very helpful and accommodating during the set up. You can bring your own decorations, but the space looks great already. Guests loved the ambiance and service was great. One con was the amount of food.. I purchased the buffet style brunch for 30, but there was barely enough food and some guests were still hungry after.. Love the whole day happy hour on Wednesday. Their Brussels sprouts are some of my favorite restaurant sprouts. They have a honey glaze, macadamia nuts, some meat garnish (ham?) and this fried crispy shoestring-esque sweet potato garnish. Overall, the best dish to get from happy hour. The chicken wings were tasty as well, and they had solid fries (they are thicker cut). Service might have been off that night because we were seated away from other people, so it was hard to see us. I think it's a hidden gem for the Wednesday happy hour, because not a lot of people were present when we were there. I've separately gone here for dinner and got their tomahawk steak - which came with bone marrow, grilled veggies, and grilled cheese. What a delight that board of food was! Be aware. These guys do not serve food in the afternoons because they are "changing menus". Drove a long ways to eat here. The have a burger on both menus but can't quit be bothered to make one for a starving patron at 3:39 pm.. Offered fries or brussels sprouts as the only options. I even asked for mozzarella sticks. You just throw those into the grease from the freezer, same as fries. Nogo. What an a-hole running the kitchen. My dad owned restaurants. Would answer the phone after hours, turn the pizza oven back on and drop off a pie to just "be kind". Too much competition for this kind of nonsense to work long term. Just fyi, restaurants all over the world list lunch 12-3, dinner 5-10. They don't list hours as 10-1am, maybe food maybe not. Better would be: Bar 10-1am. Brunch 10am-2pm Dinner 5pm-9pm or whenever the kitchen closes. Or better, offer some simple things from open to close. It's not that hard if you care. read more

This location is a real OC gem. I came to have dinner here with my girlfriend and it was so delicious. We are both foodies, love to try new foods and the waitress was so knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance in there was chill. Love the set up. We had crab cakes for starters, octopus, Brussels sprouts, croquettes. The lobster and Dungeness crab cakes were a hit for us. I believe they just got their old chef back and he came out with an amazing menu. We were both excited to try it. The staff was attentive from beginning to end. Spacious restaurant with a dim ambiance inside. The space was great but the food, unfortunately, was not. We got the chilaquiles and short rib omelette, and both were misses. The chilaquiles were completely soggy - there was not a single crunchy piece. It was just a soppy and saucy mess. That maybe would have been okay if the flavor was good. However, it was way too salty. We didn't take more than 2 bites of this dish. The short rib omelette was slightly better, but only because it was an omelette. Ya can't really mess an omelette up too badly, but unfortunately, it was overly salty as well. Pretty disappointed with the food here. The only redeeming factor was the brussel sprouts and breakfast potatoes. read more

We loved stopping by Social, the restaurant is beautiful decorated and had plenty of seating. We loved that they had a full bar with many TVs showing the football games. The food was amazing, we stopped by in a weekend to try the brunch menu and it did not disappoint. They had many food options and the portion sizes were big enough to share. We tried the chilaquiles con huevo and chorizo. They had a nice kick and the onions gave it a nice taste. We also tried the steak and eggs, the steak was cooked perfectly and it went well with the sauces provided. Our kids tried the breakfast and the chicken strips. We tried some of the alcoholic drinks and they were delicious, everyone was trying the guava mimosas so we gave them a try and they were so good. They also had frozen drinks and we tried their mezcal drink called don't fear the repo. The service provided was great, our waiter had great recommendations and answered all of our questions before ordering. Everyone made sure to pay attention and we were attended very well. Our first time hosting a larger event here in their private space and had a great experience for our group of 35! Service: Mike and his team were so helpful in helping me reserve the space and make decisions on menu choices. Day of, the whole team pitched in to help us rearrange tables and set up A/V needs. The staff was very attentive in clearing finished plates, refilling drinks, and plate changes throughout our event. Food: We ordered the buffet style setup with the garlic bread, Caesar salad, roast chicken, veggie pasta, potatoes au gratin, and mini cheesecakes. Items were brought out fresh right as our event started and kept warm on heating trays. Everything tasted great and fresh! We ended up with the perfect amount and our group was satisfied with some leftovers as well. Ambiance: Space was clean and well decorated. Loved the private bar open only for this space. Tables and furniture were easily rearranged to accommodate different events. Only complaint was it was a bit warm towards the back of the room where the outdoor breeze didn't quite reach. We visited on a weekend for brunch, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Breakfast Burrito which was loaded with choice of bacon or chorizo, eggs, crispy potatoes, avocado, jack cheese and lime crema. I needed something to wash the meal down so I opted for the Gunslinger. Crafted with Rittenhouse rye, bourbon, black tea syrup, 5 spice bitters and orange bitters, it's quite an experience to witness the server elicit cherry wood smoke when pouring the cocktail into a glass. Update: We went back to Social for Sunday brunch, and it did not disappoint! Social has an updated menu and decor. Upon arriving, we noticed the updated decor (it was a nice touch and felt brighter). With a little help from our waiter, we decided on the chilaquiles, chicken & waffles, a cranberry and guava mimosa. The food came out quickly and it was soooooo good! The chilaquiles had a fantastic green salsa that was not spicy but had a light lemon taste. The pickled onions on top were the perfect garnish, and it came with a generous portion of guacamole on top. The waffles were actually cornbread waffles (which I loved). The dish was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. They actually have a pretty large mimosa list, but we reordered the cranberry along with a pineapple mimosa for dessert. Overall, it was delicious, and I highly recommend it! We will definitely be back to try the updated dinner menu. read more

Came back here for another happy hour. Again an excellent experience. The staff are prompt and knowledgeable both the menu. The space is very open and airy and welcoming. It used to feel much darker and more confining when I visited year ago. I got an old fashioned and some halibut tacos and they are excellent. The fish is a generous portion with a light but super crispy batter. Whatever a "meyer lemon slaw" is, it's the perfect mix of tangy citrus flavors that complemented the fish perfectly and really brought the whole thing together. read more
