    Classic Acai Bowl
    Steph Q.

Hands down the best açaí bowl I've had...ever. My husband and I were recently in town visiting family and our last few days were centered around how to ensure we made a visit to SoBol Patchogue. Our family was raving about their açaí bowls, so we had to check them out. Verdict? The hype was definitely real. I went with a classic size açaí bowl. Everything tasted super fresh and the standard toppings/mix ins that come with the bowl complemented the açaí purée perfectly. The granola was the show stopper for me. So amazing when mixed in with everything else in the bowl. I think it's also made in house. The quantity of the classic size is filling. I actually ate mine over the course of two servings. Service was friendly and efficient. We had a large order and the girl ringing us up was extremely patient as we sorted through everyone's orders. Our bowls were also made in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely crafted with care! The entrance is not located on the main street, but is easily accessible from the parking lot adjacent to the building. There is plenty of parking. SoBol Patchogue is located in a tiny space, but they deliver an amazing açaí bowl in a huge way. If you're an açaí lover, do yourself a favor and stop by this location! You can thank me later.

Love SolBol. Especially in the summer when going to the beach. Had take out today. The service is very quick. There are a few spots inside if you want to sit and eat. On a nice day you could walk into town and enjoy on a bench. There is parking available right in the back. I ordered a regular bowl made with almond milk. I add almond butter to it. I like that the granola is gluten free. I always ask though Incase they change where they order from. I love the flavors and textures mixed together. I always bring a $1 off coupon from the Value Packs that come in the mail.

After having Açaí bowls at various cafes and smaller local businesses SoBol really became a disappointment today. It felt & tasted very commercialized if that makes sense. Seemed the açaí was skimped on and the granola took over the majority. Adding some fruit for an extra cost also was a letdown being that it was only maybe 4 slices. It wasn't terrible or anything, but definitely left me feeling underwhelmed compared to other places that put a little more effort into quality and prevention. Overall, I probably won't return to this location since there's 2-3 other places walking distance that serve açaí bowls that I'd rather try out.

Good bowls, friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Hidden location in the back near the parking lot instead of on Main Street

The bowls here are quite tasty, but while it's healthier than pancakes, sausage, and bacon, it's not exactly what you think. 375-600 calories in one of these bad boys, no protein. When I walk into a place touted as being a healthier option, I really don't want to see sugary iced teas and soft drinks for sale either. Ya know, not for nothing, but this place is sorta no-frills in my mind, I'm not a SuperBowl connoisseur but I feel like they should have a Starbucks type fixins bare with cocoa powder, cinnamon, brown sugar, ya know... stuff like that.... I dnno. I digress. Acai is a Brazilian fruit packed with antioxidants... but don't be fooled, unless their importing these things by the boatload, I've gotta assume you're getting the powdered form sweetened with some sort of nut milk or yogurt... something about these things just tastes/feels too good to be true. Then again, it ain't as unhealthy as corned beef and hash, so enjoy.

Tried this place today for the first time. Cute little place that serves smoothies and Acai bowls. I've never had an acai bowl before and decided to give it a go. It was simply amazing! The bowl was super fresh and delicious! I enjoyed every morsel of goodness. The servers here were friendly. The place has an earthy/industrial vibe to it. It's an in and out type of place just grab your bowl and go. Definitely recommend. Regular size is $6.49.

Semi-hard to find, but worth the hunt.

No, this is not a place to fill out your Super Bowl boxes (or do anything with football for that matter). This is where you'll get your healthy helping of fruit, nuts, and all that good stuff, surrounded by acai. Say it with me: "Ah-Sy-Ee". Don't worry, it took me a couple of tries to get it down. But anyway, this past Monday was my first experience here with a super acai bowl, and it shall not be my last. My girlfriend (lover of acai bowls) had been to the other Super Bowls location in Sayville and since her trip, has been wanting to go back. Location was a factor Monday morning, so we landed on the Patchogue spot instead. Not the simplest of places to find as it's easier to locate via the parking lot near The Emporium, but walking from Main St we were still able to hunt down our breakfast. With only a couple of stools, SB works best as a grab-n-go. That being said, the ambiance of this tiny location screams Long Island and that surfer vibe you might come across on the south shore. The giant hanging wooden shape of LI, mini surf board dangling in the center of the place, and pics on the wall of surf-ish style is what brings that feeling altogether. That and the laid back jams piping through the speakers. We each went with a regular-size original acai bowl. Regular is perfect for one, unless you're planning on sharing in which a large will fill two eaters for the day. Starting from the bottom, this thing was packed with homemade granola, what makes the bowl a bowl (AKA acai), banana, strawberry, blueberry, flaked coconut, and honey to top this sucker off. For us, we switched things around a little and both went for one of the several extra ingredient options ($1 each). Both of us added peanut butter and she threw in pineapple as well. Small downside? My girlfriend isn't a banana fan (it perplexes me everyday) so she asked for her bowl sans bananas which was no problem, of course. Unfortunately, she still had to pay the same price for her bowl along with an extra dollar for the pineapple. An even swap system would do wonders. Now for the upside. I'm not a huge fruit guy (I'm working on it), but this bowl was definitely super. The fruits came together nicely for a naturally sweet flavor, especially when accompanied with the acai purée. Highlight of it all was totally the peanut butter. With mouthfuls of this thick homemade treat along with different fruits and the granola, I was feeling like I had won the Super Bowl. Overall, SB lives up to its name with relative ease, presenting some quality acai in a tasty bowl creation. With that island ambiance to boot, I'll be back in the winter months to give my mind that easygoing feel while I chow down on one of my new favorite treats.

After vacation I'd been craving health and fruits and veggies in the worst way, so I decided to try out SoBol for breakfast. They open at 7am even on the weekend so I got there around 8am and ordered two regular bowls. I didn't feel the need to sub any fruit out being that they were already $7.25 each. I did have to sub out the soy they mix the acai blend with due to an allergy, (which is stated on the website), but at the cost of $1.10 more (not stated on the website). They were blended up and made fresh to order with the acai blend, their homemade granola, topped with fresh banana, strawberries, and blueberries, little shaved coconut and honey. The order took about 10min start to finish and I was on my way. The regular size was a bit much, although I had no problem finishing mine. Next time I feel the child size would be more manageable as a meal looking at the amount of sugar that a regular bowl has. Overall I had a great first experience here. I'll be sure to come back and try the pitaya bowl next!

Oh hey delicious acai bowl with almond butter lurking just under the surface...get in my belly!

The first time I ate an acai bowl, I though it was just ok and I could totally make it in my kitchen. But I totally eat one like once a week as a delicious treat and alternative to ice cream. They are probably loaded with sugar, but that's what makes them taste so gosh darn good. I've tried acai bowls at other places, but Super Bowls def has the best one. Some places have like a watery acai puree but Super Bowls has a perfect viscosity. They also have the best selection of add-ins available. They are kind of on the pricey side, but they don't skimp on the toppings, so it balances out. Bonus points because they are quick!

    Vanessa W.

Still delicious but prices increased a lot! They hands down make the best tasting açaí bowl in town but man $9 for a regular? Yikes. Where I used to go once a week, I only go once every other month now. If that.

I tried to go today and i was walking and it said that i was close but i didn't see the place i couldn't find where it was on Main St can someone please tell me like where it's exact location is? 😭

It is quirky to find, but worth the search. It is behind Ginos pizza. If you walk down the Eloise Staudinger alley, you will see it. If you come from the back parking lot, it is in lot 6 in the little bump out.

    Playa Bowls

    (5 reviews)

Why hasn't this Ronkonkoma Playa Bowls place gotten any reviews yet? Well hey, I'm happy to start…read morethings off and throw them the five stars they deserve. I mean I've already been here at this aesthetically beachy location at least five times and at this point it's easy to see they are legit in their bowl making abilities (and then some!). Now what is a playa bowl? Well maybe you're more familiar with SoBol açaí bowls, a company that originated on Long Island and has a location all over the place at this point. I do love me some SoBol, but oh does Playa (a New Jersey originator) take the idea of açaí and blows it up! This is really seen across their massive menu with not just açaí and pitaya bowls available, but also mango, green, oatmeal, coconut, and banana bowl bases as options. Woah. My wife has already become a true fan of the mango bowls while for myself, I've also enjoyed those, but I truly love the banana bowl bases. Yum. Playa Bowls is more than just a bowl spot though as they also boast a nice list of smoothies that are just as legit. Case in point: the orange power smoothie (orange, vanilla protein, pineapple, coconut milk) is your summer time necessity. Fruity, creamy, and delicious. What's also pretty darn tasty is their Playa cold brew. Boasting chicory coffee concentrate (something you often only find in New Orleans), Playa Bowls brews up a formidable (and icy) cup of joe. Just as important to all of this is the friendly staff and reward system/app that is used here. Though a mostly younger group of employees, they seem to dole out your order at a reasonable speed and I've yet to have any issues when ordering through that aforementioned app. The app compiles rewards and also gives you special offers which just adds to the greatness of Playa. Overall, I'm sorry to say that as good as SoBol is, Playa is just a better. It's tough to beat so many bowl bases that are equally delicious and when you throw in the smoothies, coffee, and plenty of rewards via the app, I just need to get down on the ground and start bowing to the bowls. Playa bowls, that is. Now hopefully this one five star review will get the juices flowing for others to come and experience the tastiness found here in this Ronkonkoma spot.
