I was happy to hear the waffles and crepes are gluten free, I'll try them the next time. Today I just tried a protein shake- all shakes except the mint chocolate chip and cookie ones are gluten free. I got the coconut vanilla. It was a perfectly fine vanilla protein shake but there were only two little pieces of coconut at the bottom. Didn't taste any coconut at all. Not a big deal, but I would try a different flavor next time. The small amount as $8 I believe There really isn't seating. Two tiny tables with uncomfortable looking stools. Ralph's... how do I love thee??…read more I stopped by Land & Sea to get some fresh seafood for dinner and next door is a new Ralph's Italian Ices? There is no available seating as this is a small establishment. So pick your favorite flavors and GTFO! The service was quick, my wife and I each ordered a Kiddy Cup. Back in the day my kids used to get a few wacky flavors like Cotton Candy and Blue?? I dunno how to describe the flavor, it's just Blue! Me? This is not the first issue l've had with him. His service feels inconsistent, as he seems to pick and choose which customers receive his attention and friendliness. It is extremely disappointing, especially because the rest of the staff is always welcoming and professional. I truly loved this place, but after repeated experiences like this, you have lost a loyal customer. Management should seriously consider retraining him on proper customer service.

Stopped by the Ice Palace after dinner on a weekday. They caught our eye while driving to our…read moredinner destination and many of us decided to save room for an ice for dessert. We were a family of seven and all first timers. Overall, a solid first visit. Ice Palace is located in Oakdale. There is a small, free parking lot behind the building. There are some tables and chairs outside for customers to enjoy their ices. This spot is cash only, so come prepared. Service was cordial. We also encountered the man everyone in the reviews is talking about. He wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly either. Right to the point of taking orders, filling them, and then handling the cash payments. No thank yous, you're welcome, or any other type of friendly chitchat or service talk. Serving sizes were generous, however, the prices did reflect the it. Ice Palace is definitely higher in price than other places. My husband and I tried the Lemon Line Ice and Peanut Butter Oreo. Both were plentiful, tasty, and refreshing. A perfect after-dinner treat. Ice Palace was a solid place to get some dessert after our meal. I wouldn't say we'd return everytime we're in the mood for ices, but if we found our way back to Oakdale, we'd consider it.

Man, I hate to say this, but if you've flipped through the reviews of this place... they're on…read moretarget. The owner (I guess) is just gruff and not friendly. That may work at an old school Italian joint, but this is an ices place. There is just too much local competition to not treat your customers like they're valued. They'll go elsewhere. Ok, on to the rest. It has decent outside seating, but the parking is confusing and separated from the storefront. The selection is typical for an ices place, same stuff you'd see at a Ralph's. The prices are high. In terms of the actual ices, the scoops were pretty big and the flavors were good. No knocks on it there. That being said, I can get the same stuff five minutes down the road with a smile, so I'll take my business there.

I went to the store expecting the offer to be honored, only to be told that they would not accept it. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is the second time Baya Bar has sent me a promotional offer like this, only for me to go to the store and be told they won't honor it. If you're going to send customers coupons and promotions, you should stand behind the offers you send out. It's extremely frustrating to waste my time going to the store based on an offer that your company sent me, only to have it denied when it is clearly still valid. This is not a good way to treat customers or build trust. I won't ever be going back. I now have also opted out of receiving any further text messages from them. While walking over to me behind the counter, CONTINUTES to have conversation on the phone and whisper to me "hi what do you want?" in deadpan (I couldn't care less what you want compare to my phone conversation) So distracted from just listening to whoever is on the phone is now going through 6 drawers to find the ingredients, slow as snail, no conversation, no inviting, welcoming, friendly anything. Just took the phone call the WHOLE TIME making the shake. Cashier did offer me any toppings, I said "no thank you" At the end of it, cashier didn't know how to use the computer, almost charged me for $40, 4 of my shakes??? like really? You press the button once and press pay/charge w/e. And the shake tasted like thick chocolate water. So disappointed because the phone convo was more important than focusing on your job and servicing a customer. Hence customer service. From someone who works in the service industry as a waitress/bartender. It's a business...bottom line at the end of the day. Businesses all across the world rely on reviews and great feedback to keep their business successful, so people want to come back to your business. I will not be coming back.
