I was so happy to find a SoBol near my home! It was very neat and really cutely decorated. I stopped by after my gym session and was super happy with the different bowl and smoothie options. You can also build your own bowl if you want something that's not on the menu. It was literally just opening for the day when I went so it was pretty quiet. The gentleman helping me was very friendly and got my order ready quickly. I opted for a large Pitaya bowl ($11.25), which was so good! The fruits were fresh and delicious, and the Pitaya was the perfect consistency. The bowl was packed so you definitely get the best bang for your buck. It left me feeling really re-energized and healthy after working out. I'll definitely be revisiting in the future, and I highly recommend popping by if you're in the area and craving a healthy snack or meal.

My first time trying this place unexpectedly and they didn't disappoint! The staff was really friendly and we dined in. We got the: BLENDED ACAI with STRAWBERRY AND BANANA with granola, strawberry, banana , BLUEBERRY COCONUT & HONEY Would definitely recommend this and come back again.

I ordered a chocolate cacao smoothie with peanut butter. The smoothie tasted good and was thick. They need wider straws. Pay cash and get a discount.

I really needed a green juice during my trip to NY and found this place on Yelp. The SUPER GREEN SMOOTHIE mostly disappointed me. It was ultra sweet my pancreas cried a little. I am not sure if it was the amount OR brand of agave but it was way too much fructose. It was also not well blended and a bit too thick (not from ice). It set me back $8.50 or so and it took a solid 10 minutes to get the drink (Someone else's smoothie came first and they even order after me). Perhaps their açaí bowls are king but the smoothie was a fail for me.

Walking through a street fair in New Hyde Park during a hot weekend, we dropped into SoBol for a healthy refreshing drink and the A/C. Ambience: most of the smoothie/acai bowl places seem to hire the same interior designer. Similar to Chinese takeouts, when you see one, you have seen them all. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just pointing out that all these smoothie places look alike. Food: we ordered the very berry smoothie. It was ok, but not as sweet as some other places.

Mmmmm this place is so delicious! I love love love açaí bowls, but I really only go to a few spots religiously. I decided to try SoBol today and it will definitely become one of my new spots for my time in Long Island! I got the açaí bowl with whey protein in it. Yummmyyyyy! It was sooo fresh and the perfect amount of sweet. The fruit on top was really good too. My favorite parts were the sweet coconut shavings and the incredible granola. I would eat jars of this granola if I could! Lastly, the woman (maybe owner?) working there was soooo sweet and kind. Really made my morning. Can't wait to come back next week again!

SoBol is one of my favorite spots to get açaí from! They offer bowls (açaí, pitaya, green bowl which has spinach, sunshine which has mango, pineapple and banana) and smoothies. I enjoy getting their açaí bowls which are always made quick placed into a container with granola at the top and bottom. Then it's topped off with fresh fruits. I always feel refreshed after eating their bowls. They give a lot of granola and a good amount of fruit as well. I actually would prefer more açaí. They also offer additional toppings such as different fruits, PB/almond butter/cookie butter, chia seeds, hemp seeds, etc. for $2 extra per additional topping, which is kind of pricey since they don't add a lot either. I've also had instances where the frozen fruit in the açaí base wasn't fully blended, which isn't a big deal. I also enjoy their granola which has almonds and cashews (but you can request their nut free option as well). Overall, I do enjoy these açaí bowls. The fresh fruits are always great and I love adding PB/almond butter/cookie butter for extra richness.

People behind the counter were friendly and approachable. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty. More take outs than sit ins. Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious!! Refreshing to have after the gym.

Convienant spot, found parking right out front. The bowls were really good, prices were just really expensive but most açaí bowls are. You could tell the granola was homemade and a little different, Overall average price açaí with great service. Would recommend

Came here with my husband and 6 y/o daughter and they both love it! Craved for something light and refreshing and this hits the spot! I love it! The place is very clean, fast service and very friendly staff! Will definitely come back! The fruits are very fresh and sweet!

Super Green Smoothie and Coconut Bowl

I found myself feeling a bit under the weather one morning and wanting something healthy and refreshing for breakfast, so I placed a Doordash order from Sobol. My first time trying them and I was very happy! My order was delivered unbelievably fast. I ordered a Super Green smoothie and a coconut bowl, both were so fresh and tasty! I'm actually not a big fan of acai flavor, so I really love that Sobol has many other options to choose from. Coconut, mango, spirulina - they all sound so good! I love having this local option for healthy food and now that I know it's here I'll definitely be a regular!

I go to Sobol in Astoria at least once a week, I've been to the Long Beach one several times, but wow New Hyde Park is my favorite one. Inside it's so sleek, clean, and nice, and their food was ON POINT! I got my usual - a super size green bowl with peanut butter blended in and no mangoes. Their green blend was absolute perfection, it wasn't too sweet. Also, they filled the container to the very top (Astoria tends to skimp a little sometimes). Also, it cost me legit $6 less than what they charge in Queens. Wins all around!

You'll find me at the corner of Bowls and Beyond.

So many SoBols, so little time. Seriously, SoBols have been popping up all over the island. They're turning into Starbucks! (Okay, nothing can reach that level). But I do like the fact that there's some açaí available in so many spots, especially this New Hyde Park location. There's really nothing not to like about it....actually, maybe I love it. I do love the beachy ambiance with a real feeling of local island notes. It's small, but cozy and has some awesome lighting I can't help but to mention. Might I add the Sail Away nitro cold brew taps that scream tastiness? A bonus to the bowls. I love how friendly the employees (usually) are. I mean they're not always beaming with sunshine, but almost every experience has boded well to a positive human encounter. My most recent trip a week (or so) ago ended in a lovely exchange with the staff member who made sure I had everything I needed before I left. Memorable service for sure. And of course, I love the açaí bowls themselves. Yeah, it's true that you can get one of these fruit filled foods at plenty of other places, but I'm finding Sobol to be pretty consistent with their quality. The ingredients always seem ripe and fresh while their peanut butter is the key to make every açaí bowl extraordinary (well, except for those who have a nut allergy). Price-wise, things jive with just about any other açaí-selling spot so I can't say anything negative about the cost. Overall, I'll just say SoBol is a love of mine that I'm glad I can devour at a NHP storefront not too far from my abode. With proximity, ambiance, and bowls that are totally super (Super Bowl joke, for the day), you won't see me complaining about the abundance of SoBols. All you'll get are a few more check ins for something superbly local and worth loving.

So it finally happened!! I took the opportunity to stop in because I missed breakfast and wanted something small. Vida Coffee Shop advertises parking in the rear which is so relaxing because parking is hectic in this area. You can enter Vida Coffee Shop from the rear. That's a life saver for snowie days like today. Walking in I see, ambient lighting which sets a comfortable yet homely tone with a picturesque view of the Turnpike framed the dining area, clearly the result of thoughtful design. As I look around, I'm met with a chorus of enthusiastic greetings--'Hello,' 'Good morning,' 'Welcome.'" I instantly appreciated the hospitality and matched it in kind. The young lady that help me, Ms. Carina gave me the abridged version of the menu. I ordered a ham and cheddar cheese croissant, a sesame seed bagel w/ cream cheese and a 16 oz vanilla flavored coffee. While the food was being prepared I learned that Vida Coffee Shop is family owned and operated, 1 coffee shop, 1 year in business, and a Long Island Choice Award. Congratulations!! I've had ham and cheese croissants with Swiss cheese before but this was way different. The ham and cheese croissant had cheddar cheese, very delicious with a hint of cheddar, not drowning the ham flavor and flattened by a Panini press. The bagel was very fresh, and the coffee was nicely tempered. No scorching of the tongue! One piece of advice: with this extreme cold, dine in. Your food stays hot, and the weather won't steal the heat in seconds. Good-bye Star .... hello Vida Coffee Shop. I will return! I'm very happy too.... Inspire more, Yelp more!

I always like to try a different flavor iced latte when I go, saw the choco banana as a seasonal flavor on the wall and had to try that. Not only did it look good but it tasted very good as well. I noticed after the fact that they have a banana brownie which I'm sure would have paired up great with the iced latte. I'll have to stop in again soon to try them together!

Taste of Paris is not actually that bad. But it is pretty weird. The vibe is less Parisian cafe than hostile architecture. For one thing, there's a hole in the ceiling. It is not small. It's basically an entire missing ceiling tile. Like, there may be some kind of repair project or remodel going on? For another thing, it's rather dark for a coffee shop. It's dimly lit with very little natural light. And the walls seem green screen ready. Jarringly sparse but would make a great Teams background. All that said, the coffee is decent. I ordered off menu. A flat white, no sugar, no syrup. And it was solid. Which, in sum, leaves me at three stars. Two or below if you're drinking in, but maybe four if you're grabbing to go.

Small shop, big payoff -- quick, clean, and the drinks come out looking like they belong in a photoshoot (the can-style iced coffees are a vibe). Gov's take: the Crème Brûlée Latte is the star. Smooth, dessert-like without being sugary, and it keeps that espresso backbone. The iced coffee/cold brew is strong, cold, and actually tastes like coffee (not melted ice and regret). Menu is easy to scan and they've got a solid lineup of flavors, plus grab-and-go energy that's perfect when you're passing through Hillside.
