I'm not usually a big acai bowl person, but I stopped here because it was on my walk to the train. LThe employee could not have been nicer! I didn't get her name, but she had long, black, curly hair. She answered all of my questions, helped me get in and out quickly, and even let me try a few different bowl bases since I couldn't decide. Stopped by SoBol in Cos Cob for something healthy and high-protein. We ordered a Classic Mango-Pineapple Bowl with vanilla plant protein + peanut butter added ($17.02) and a 24oz Chocolate Cacao Smoothie with chocolate plant protein ($13.92). Everything tasted fresh and was genuinely delicious. The mango bowl in particular was so good, and the peanut butter on top really makes it. The large smoothie is a true large and works well as a filling, high-protein meal replacement. The only downside was the cost. Our total came out to $33 for two items, and I was surprised at how quickly the add-ons add up (protein and peanut butter drizzle aren't cheap). Great quality and flavor, just definitely on the pricier side if you customize. Would still come back when I want a clean, high-protein option, just good to know the extras can bump the total fast. read more

Normally this location is decent but it has been sliding, especially when ordering from Uber eats. I just paid $30 (pre tip) for 1 bowl. There was minimal açaí, virtually no almond butter (extra $2.50), barely a sprinkle of flax ($1.50) and barely a sprinkle of hemp ($1.50). Even with the fruit melted in up top, it didn't even cover the full large size. This is embarrassing, especially for the obnoxious price. read more

I came in this morning, because I wanted to try it out. I'm always passing by and figured why not. Anyhow the smoothie cup was large and maybe I didn't do the right mixture or blend of fruits. It just didn't hit the spot for me. It was more like chicken without the seasoning. For $15 I expected more. I actually didn't mind that so much. What I did mind was the impersonal cashier taking my order. No smile no good morning no emotion. She ask for a name to call for the order and didn't even call the name, but the drink instead. I'm sure other people are use to that kind of service, but good service with a smile goes a long way. Perhaps she was having a bad day. I doubt I will be coming back. Service is make it or break it for me. Please have someone with a little more life behind the counter. read more

This Sobol tried to rip us off. On Aug 23rd, the workers in the store charged us for two items and then went back and charged us again for one of the items. We argued that we had already paid for both items. We called back again later and said to remove the 2nd charge. They said they would and have not. They tried to feign that they didn't understand English in the conversation. I believe the workers were trying to pocket the additional charge. read more

TALK ABOUT A BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!! Just yesterday I was at EMBODY Fitness & their açaí bowls are SO TINY but I paid $13... HERE, for breakfast, this morning, I got a GIANT bowl for just under $9!! I got the normal açaí bowl no honey & my boyfriend got the normal açaí bowl no honey and added almond butter. The place is super charming & the workers were really friendly. The "regular" sized bowl was BIGGER than ANY bowl I've had! AH-MAZING! I was so pleasantly surprised they offer such big sizes for such a great price. Usually we get plant protein in our bowls but they said they were running low today. We can't wait to come back & add it on next time! Everything was REALLY fresh & PERFECT to help us start our day. Best Açaí bowl I've had, and I've had quite a few living in California for a bit. The granola they use is excellent. It has a good balance of seeds in it so it's not too oat heavy. The açaí mix is very flavorful. It didn't taste watered down or blended with too much ice. Good variety of toppings including Nutella. I got the peanut butter and Nutella toppings which had a perfect consistency, not too thick like some places I've been too. Definitely going back soon. read more

The açaí smoothie I got tasted good but as I was drinking it while driving back home, I came across several small thin pieces of plastic & at one point something like a piece of sand which felt like it cracked a tooth! It's a shame because Robeks used to be at this location & it was much much better. This place charged me $9 for a small smoothie!! If you have allergies, do NOT order from here. I ordered an açaí bowl with NUT FREE - ALLERGY granola, and received a bowl with granola littered with tree nuts. I have an anaphylactic allergy to tree nuts, and grateful that I saw the nuts before consuming them. This is disgraceful. I attached a picture with my order and receipt containing the words "NUT ALLERGY!!" with an almond right next to it. I've ordered here without issue before but this is beyond unacceptable. read more

This place is a complete and utter disgrace. I have no idea who they are hiring or what the screening process is, but I've never had a more horrible experience at any store in my life. The woman working there called me to cancel my door dash order because they were closing 2 hours early because it's a "holiday". It's Mother's Day, and it states everywhere online that they are currently open. I got over it, but quickly realized I couldn't cancel my door dash order because sobol had already confirmed it online and stated that they were preparing it. So I called back, and the same woman answers the phone and says "hi were closed" and hangs up without me being able to say a word. I have spent easily over $1,000 here and often go 5x per week. I sincerely hope this woman is intensely trained or fired. I have still not received my refund from door dash because even though I saw both her and another employee giggling and fooling around in the store, nobody answered my 10 phone calls trying to ask them to cancel the door dash order on their side. read more

This is by no means a review of the product - which is fantastic - just of the service. First - I have to say that they must put something addictive in these bowls because my friend and I want one every day!! There are lots of toppings available, and even the regular bowl comes loaded. It's a much better deal than Green & Tonic across the street. The challenge is the service first thing in the morning. The store opens at 7:00, but their "open" sign in the window has not been on, and the lights in the front of the store were not on. This has been several times over the past week. I stopped at 7:10 this morning, and it looked closed. I did go back at 7:20 and saw someone inside - so I did stop. I let the person behind the counter know that I almost didn't stop, and it was the second time this week. I did stop one morning and walked out because I waited almost 5 minutes and nobody even took my order. I'm hoping that this will change shortly, otherwise this location is going to lose morning business! I also searched for the store on Grubhub, which is advertised in the window, and couldn't find it. I know this place has plenty of business, but I'm sure the morning traffic would be better if the store actually looked open! read more

Tasty Açaí bowl with stamp of approval from the husband and daughter who are Açaí Fanatics. They have a nut-less option which I appreciated for those of us who have allergies. There are almonds and cashews in the granola mix and you can also get peanut butter or almond butter added to the mix. Or you can avoid all of that and still have a tasty bowl with completely diff toppings. I would def recommend giving this spot a try and will be back. read more

I come to this Sobol location at least twice a week and was extremely disappointed yesterday when I purchased a super and received the bowl half full. For $16, I think that this is completely not right. If I knew It would not have been filled I would have just got myself a regular size and saved the extra $7. I do not get granola due to my allergies but I do not think that It's fair to not compensate me with either açaí or fruit if I am paying for the larger size. Very disappointed. read more

Someone please punish me for not coming here sooner-- this place is DELICIOUS! Health nuts, or anyone looking for an alternative to a cold and creamy treat on a hot day- this is THE SPOT. I heard about SoBol months ago, but it's a little out of the way for me so I never stopped in. What a mistake. With the recent heatwave, I wanted something cold, but I wanted it to be healthy. I was tired of wasting my money on less than healthy smoothies, and I remembered SoBol. The menu is a little overwhelming at first, but take your time and ask questions if you need to. I got the pitaya bowl, and since I have allergies I asked for nut-free granola. I also customized the bowl to my preferences because I'm not a fan of mango...and I couldn't resist topping my bowl with a little Nutella! The bowl was exactly what I needed! It was light, yet filling. Packed with nutrients (and a little bit of naughty Nutella) and it made this heatwave a little bit more bearable. Was honestly skeptical of this place since I'm a huge fan of Robeks but they definitely didn't disappoint! I had The Original Açaí Bowl & all the ingredients were fresh & full of flavor. The house made granola really added to the overall taste of the açaí bowl & you could tell they took their time to make each bowl. Love this place! Especially in the summer, it's so refreshing. I've been twice this week and loved it both times. It's so cold and refreshing. My boyfriend, his friend and I went after a run and it was the perfect post run snack. They have their own homemade almond butter, which is very over priced (12.50) but different flavors and pretty good. They have varied açaí bowls, which you could add almond butter or anything into. They have smoothies and other add ins in their menu. I've got the kids açaí bowl (6.00) and had it original. It's comes with granola, blueberries, banana, and coconut topping. I live around the corner and like to come here and pick up a bowl to enjoy after exercising Saturday and Sunday mornings. When they take care to prepare the bowls they are very good and hit the spot. The majority of the time I'm very pleased. However, they have a big consistency problem that needs to be addressed. The bowl I just had this morning was completely melted and resembled soup. This is not the first time that's happened either. I have also encountered the polar opposite, an icy near frozen solid bowl. I'm not yet writing this place off completely, but for the price they charge for these bowls, they need to do better. read more

My sobol tasted old, I could tell that it was sitting in the fridge when I ordered it. Considering I didn't order it online it should be made fresh when I get there the bananas were brown and the granola was soggy. not sure why I got an old one didn't taste great. read more

Had an acai bowl and tried two of their smoothies, acai and green something (kale, spinach, fruits). Everything tasted so fresh and so good. The fruit in the acai bowl was fresh and sweet. You can see them cutting up the fruits. The staff seemed really nice and willing to explain certain items from the menu. Will definitely come back. read more
