She would fill our refrigerator full of Pressed Juicery's thick nut milks, mysterious green juices, and the occasional bright tangy fruit juice. $7/bottle is undoubtedly expensive. Even if it's a meal replacement. It's part health, part alchemy, and part branding. I personally can't stand the vegetable-heavy spinach, kale, parsley type mixes. I instead opt for the brighter, sweeter options with lemon, apple, and citrus to complement that deep vegetable flavor. But to each their own! For a healthy dessert, I recommend the Dragon Fruit Freeze. Dragon fruit soft serve made with dragon fruit, mango, strawberries, coconut cream, oat milk, pea protein, agave, and monk fruit sweetener. Dragon fruit tastes somewhere between a kiwi and a pear. It's a tropical taste enhanced with the sweetness and the tartness from the strawberry, mango, coconut, and monk fruit. Perfect frozen yogurt / sorbet texture. And entirely guiltless. The Chocolate Freeze is Pressed Juicery's imitation chocolate, made out of almond milk and dates. Although I buy my weekly supply of fruits and veggies for my morning juicing- I felt with a sale like that, I could save on labor, time and trips to my local produce spots. And- what's not to like about 6 juices for $25? I was all over it! I picked out my 6 bottles- but imagine my surprise when the guy noted the $29 price- instead of $25. I splurge every chance I get and I know....I know...but $4 is still $4. Granted, $29 for 6 juices is good- but that $25 price tag is what I hoped for. The guy behind the counter tried to ease the situation a bit and said he's aware of the mistake- but didn't know WHY the price hike at this Connecticut location. While I do know it isn't his wrongdoing, I was taken aback that this Greenwich, CT location had the $25 sale plastered on one wall- I mean...that's what drew my attention to the sale, my friend Cam telling me about it- plus it's advertised on their CT Yelp location page too. After I purchased a day's worth of juices, I realized this store's fine print on the website doesn't make any direct or specific mention of "prices may differ from location to location". I valued the response when I emailed Pressed Juicery's Media Inquiries department (Thank you) about the "$25 sale" these folks are promoting. However, that price DOESN'T apply to this Greenwich location. The person I emailed states that Greenwich, Union Square and a few other Pressed Juicery spots are $29- not $25 due to their location and I appreciated the clarification. But the same way Pressed Juicery has price differences from one area to the next, why not explicitly advertise their cost accordingly- both on your website and at those stores where prices are a factor due to location? I get it...your $25 price works at the Morningside Heights and other NYC spots. I've had Pressed Juicery in the past and I really like their ingredient combinations plus they taste great. They only literally just opened, so i'll give them some credit. However, I have been a few times and yo be honest, it just isn't the same as previous pressed juicery locations i've been to. I just don't want to spend $10/month and be required to buy juices all the time. Next, I ended up buying 2 juices...it would have been helpful to know that there was a current promotion of 2 juices and 2 shots for $15 rather than paying $15.95 for those 2 juices....that seriously annoyed me....I only found out afterwards when I went home. I was so excited to pass this by on Greenwich Ave. 3 years ago I had it in Hollywood for the first time & the last time I had the healthy dairy free soft serve was in March of 2017, also in Hollywood! I didn't realize that there were locations in NYC but it wouldn't have mattered because it's too far to get to enjoy daily. I will DEFINITELY be back, multiple times a week probably ! Luckily, they have a membership where you pay $10 monthly for unlimited $5 soft serves & juices & unlimited $2.50 shots (valued at $5) I will probably take advantage of that deal because it was a bit on the pricier side, but WORTH IT! The employees were super friendly & even encouraged I try samples. Usually places aren't as open as they are about giving samples. So, what does the soft serve taste like? It's chocolatey, vanilla-y, & has a texture of a frozen smoothie but not too liquid-y. It's frozen enough it can hold its shape. The cacao they squirt on top hardens to make a delicious rich shell. The strawberries & blueberries add a nice freshness to it. Lastly, the coconut shreds also add a nice crunch! The place is super clean & overall a really great company. I first heard about Pressed Juicery in California, and didn't know they had a location in CT so I drove down to take advantage of their 10% off deal with their app. Their juices are really tasty and the lids are numbered so you can take them in the recommended order. The real star though, was Kyle, who was absolutely lovely and had great suggestions for other treats I could try (pumpkin soft serve *drool*). Everything was in compliance with COVID (masks, sneeze guards, distancing signs) and I felt extremely safe. All told I bought three days of juice, 4 waters, and multiple Wellness shots for under $100, so yes, I spent a ton of money but got So. Much. Juice. I loved the aloe vera water, which is necessary for extra hydration on a cleanse, but my favorites were the vanilla almond and citrus juices. 5 stars for juices/products in general. Big tip- get the membership. You'll save a bunch and the prices become super reasonable/affordable. Favorite flavors: Greens 2, Charcoal Lemonade, Cider, Turmeric Orange. 4 stars overall because lackluster service. I came in on their first day open in late May- so I know they've come along way in the last month. In late May, it was normal confusion and inexperience, but wonderfully try hard spirit and warmness. Today, however, one of the male employees helped us and looked like he rather be anywhere else. He was less than gracious when we asked to taste new flavors even though we were the only people in the store. I've been going to Pressed's in CA for the last 5 years and am so unimpressed with the attitude of this employee. I used to look forward to interacting with the employees because they are super knowledgable and have been super helpful in educating me in healthy eating. However, my 3 visits have not really shown me Greenwich location has caught on. Will update review in future if see something different!
