On 4/3/26 I decided to return after a 6 year hiatus. I was craving oatmeal so I came in to get a to go order and WOW! Talking about transformation. The restaurant was properly staffed, with about 3 workers. Why am I ecstatic, the person said hi, how may I help you. I knew right then and there that change had occurred. I asked for the oatmeal and they informed me that they don't have it. So the owner and I sparked up a conversation about the transformation of Bango Bowl and how they revised the menu and retrained the staff. I purchased a Southwest sunrise wrap for breakfast and I returned for lunch to get the Mediterranean avocado bowl. Yummy! On 04/06 I returned for lunch. I would be staying this time. There were two customers in the front chating and 2 workers. I got the chicken fajita bowl. Each time I ate here the food was great and really tasty. No complains about the taste. But I was a little disappointed. I had to look for a clean table. Improvements- instead of the employees relaxing while there's only 2 customer in house, clean the tables and then relax! Pro-Tip, sign up for the reward system to get a discount and you may want to grab the southwest wrap. You can thank me later. I also make my own smoothies at home and I pretty much order the same type of smoothie I make at home...if it ain't broke, don't fix it, amirite? I've noticed a few times coming here, there are different people working and the past two visits have left much to be desired. I just ordered the Breakfast Smoothie, which is the only smoothie I order from here. I sometimes add protein but ALWAYS add chia seeds and cayenne. For some reason on this visit, I received a weirdly loose smoothie. I added cayenne, chia and vanilla protein. The person that took the order was not the one that made my smoothie. It was extremely sweet and watery which doesn't make sense if I'm adding protein powder. I asked if they add sweeteners and was informed that they add agave. This is not listed on their menu boards and if they do add sweeteners, they should inform the public so we can opt out if necessary. As I said, the smoothie is extremely watery and when adding chia seeds, it thickens the smoothie, especially when blending it. I asked the girl who made the smoothie, if she added the chia and she then asked the guy who took the order. He said they did but you can tell that they didn't or they didn't use much. Chia seeds leave black specks in smoothies, even when using a Vitamix. I'm not sure what's happened to the quality control but I'll probably wait a bit before coming back. The time before this, a completely different person was behind the counter and she added the protein powder but didn't make up for it with any additional almond milk so I ended up with a ridiculously thick smoothie. I'm seriously gonna need them to vet the people they leave behind the counter. You have to adjust for customizations, y'all. For real. Three stars bc my son's smoothie didn't get screwed up.
