Going to Bango Bowl on 3/31 was a pleasant experience. Now if I gave this review, June 2021 it'd be an entirely different saying with one star. Back then, they used to sell steal cut oats. The oats were delicious in my opinion, I guess because I would devour any bowl of oatmeal at any given day of the week with no complaints, the thing that gave it one star back then was the customer service. It sucked tremendously. I'd walk in and the person washing dishes would look up to see who came in and continued washing dishes. I walked out on several occasions and that sealed the deal for me. On 4/3/26 I decided to return after a 6 year hiatus. I was craving oatmeal so I came in to get a to go order and WOW! Talking about transformation. The restaurant was properly staffed, with about 3 workers. Why am I ecstatic, the person said hi, how may I help you. I knew right then and there that change had occurred. I asked for the oatmeal and they informed me that they don't have it. So the owner and I sparked up a conversation about the transformation of Bango Bowl and how they revised the menu and retrained the staff. I purchased a Southwest sunrise wrap for breakfast and I returned for lunch to get the Mediterranean avocado bowl. Yummy! On 04/06 I returned for lunch. I would be staying this time. There were two customers in the front chating and 2 workers. I got the chicken fajita bowl. Each time I ate here the food was great and really tasty. No complains about the taste. But I was a little disappointed. I had to look for a clean table. Improvements- instead of the employees relaxing while there's only 2 customer in house, clean the tables and then relax! Pro-Tip, sign up for the reward system to get a discount and you may want to grab the southwest wrap. You can thank me later. So 3 stars rounded up to 4 stars only because improvements are still needed. I feel the workers should take the initiative to clean and keep a tidy store even when the manager's not there. But still ... Inspire more, Yelp more! read more

Okayyyyyy, Bango, okayyyyyy. I've been to Bango a few times (different locations) for their smoothie bowls. I never had a salad before but now there's no turning back. I had one of their signature salads and it was DELICIOUS and a huge portion. It was a solid $10 less than what I spend on the same thing at salad spots in the city. Been meaning to check this place out for a while. So glad I finally did. I received an open and warm greeting as I walked in. They answer all my questions and I had to taste their teas and lemonades...couldn't choose just one they tasted great not over sugared. I went for the Hawaiian poke bowl and had shrimp added and wontons and it WAS DELICIOUS! Not over burden heavy but very fulfilling. Definitely noted something I need to eat at least 2-3 a week. One of my favorite spots for breakfast lunch or dinner! They have a wide variety of salad and fruit bowl options and a TON of add ons (which are reasonably priced). I have ordered from here at least 2 dozen times and I can always rely on the consistency of their ingredients. Their fruits and veggies are always fresh and juicy. Their açaí and pitaya bases are flavorful and have a smooth texture that melts in your mouth. It's also not too liquidy so the granola beneath it will stay crunchy for hours. Pro tip - if you're planning to save some of your fruit bowl for the next day, get the granola on the side so it doesn't get soggy. They also have generously sized portions - I can usually get 2 meals out of one dish, especially their poke bowls, which are delicious! My favorite is the Hawaiian Classic, which comes with marinated tuna, but I like to add salmon to it. You can tell their fish is high quality. In fact, just in general, they have high standards for both their food quality and their customer service. There was one time I tried to order some dish with avocado, but they had just run out of ripe avocados. Instead of simply giving me an unripe avocado and sending me on my way, they informed me about it, apologized for having run out, and offered me a substitution along with some suggestions of what other toppings might pair nicely with the dish. (I personally love avocados even when they're not fully ripened, so I opted to get it anyway.) They also have a nice rewards system. Depending on which tier you're in, you get either $5, $6, or $7 off for every $50 you spend. I could go on forever, but the takeaway is that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!! read more

Firstly , the açaí is not the real and raw açaí, it is mixed and tainted. I was highly disappointed and honestly would've gave it back for a refund, had I not drove off so far. Secondly , the size was horrible for the price. This was like 12.50 and they only put three scoops of the tainted açaí and then filled the bottom with all oats and honey . Just horrible . For your own sanity, stick with playa bowls , which although is pricey, still gives natural açaí . If it's tainted acai with other ingredients it needs to be advertised and told . I ordered the sweet potato bowl and it was extremely good. Everything was very fresh and the ingredients worked well together. I would definitely want to try their other items. The bowl I orders had chicken egg lettuce tomato avocado and cubed roasted sweet potato. Not great, ordered food from here twice. the smoothies are always warm and you can't substitute the milk online, i don't like any kind of milk in my smoothies. I ordered a hot poke bowl that came back cold ?? Felt like opposite day with my cold smoothie being warm and my warm meal being cold. Apparently their "policy" has changed or the high school students they have working here have no clue what they're doing. I have been here numerous times and even very recent and I order the spicy poke bowl and get it with half tuna and half salmon. Now all of a sudden they can't do it because it's "against policy". That's the way I like it and I like to enjoy my food. I'm not asking for double the amount, I'm asking for half the serving size of tuna and half the serving size of salmon. Walked in during lunch time to an entirely empty place, heard an employee loudly singing in the back room and tables with wallets, keys, phones and even slippers left unattended (presumably by the employees). After awhile, I went back to get someone to help me, an employee finally came to take my order without apologizing for hiding in the back. Proceeded to eat in while the employees loudly gossiped "what the f*ck bro? You want to f*uck with me? F*ck you!" to one another before going back and leaving the restaurant empty again. Great place if you're looking for hearing expletives exchanged between teenagers, some off-pitch scream-singing or want to rob a place, not so great if you want good service. Update: I did go back a few days later to give this place another shot and it was night and day from last time. Employees were kind and respectful and I enjoyed my poke. I was impressed with the promptness of the owner in addressing my concerns. I've tried the smoothies, oatmeal and poke and have enjoyed each. Happy to have this near my house! read more

I try to call once I place my order to tell them not to do this, of course call line is "busy." It's so frustrating to try to mix it in. I bought the Poké bowl and it was decent. I ordered online and picked it up. Once I sat down to eat the food it looked really sloppy like it was packed with no care. I ordered extra tuna and it looked like they didn't add it. It tasted decent. Sort of what I expected from a modern health restaurant but it wasn't that great as if your getting it from a authentic Japanese restaurant. I gave this place a second chance and I had similar results. It is located at a convenience location and when entering the music begins to give you high energy with the staff. Bango Bowls... where do I start? First off, I do love how close it is to my house! I can easily walk down the block and pick up an açaí or smoothie when I'm in the mood for one. I haven't tried the poke bowls, salads as I prefer more for a cold, refreshing snack. They have three options: a classic açaí bowl, a pitaya bowl or a green life (a base of spinach, mango, pineapple, banana, and a dash of coconut milk). I recently started eating the green life bowl more because I love how the base is not too sweet so it overall evens out with the sweetness of the fruit toppings. For the smoothies, my fav is the Bango Mango. Although the prices might be a little high... it is a healthy restaurant with natural ingredients. 10/10 recommend ! read more

Only the you g lady in the back seemed to know anything about what they had in the store so at least 3 times she yelled answers from the back where they both were with nobody in the front when I came in. This is my second visit to this place! I would rate food a 4 starts and a 1 start on the service. If you are going to have young teenagers working, you might as well give them the proper training to service customers. The cashier asked me after charging for my entire food if I had paid for the water that was right next to the bowls which she forgot to charge because she was in such a rush to go back to her cell. I asked for my food to go and had to ask her to come back and please provide a bag for my food. There was no other customers than the two of us.
