I want to share my pleasant experience time after time. It is well kept machines, clean and easy parking. Mostly...Steve...he works there and I am excited to do y laundry if I walk in and see him there!!! He greets everyone with a smile, also there before know you need help with a tip. He never stops cleaning, fixing things that need a little attention. If you start a conversation with him, he never stops cleaning while engaging in great conversation. Steve plays the best uplifting fun music that puts a smile on everyone's face. Laundry then feels less like a chore. Thank you Steve! It is always a pleasure seeing you. Bri read more

Steve is the best Mr. Laundry Mom ever! Very helpful. He cleaned the clothing baskets for us and was very kind. Highly recommend this laundromat. read more

Our washer is not running right at home so I came over here to soapysuds let me tell you this is the cleanest laundromat with plants, friendly service and she washes and folds. It's insane how much this lady does. I will continue to come here and anybody that needs to have a laundromat. This is come the young lady that was here on Tuesday February 17 was amazing read more

First of all it's not a very big laundromat. Secondly, the lady that works here is extremely rude and she uses 90% of this facility to do laundry for other people. Which only leaves a few washers and dryers open. read more

So, I looked at the pile of blankets, sheets and comforters that all needed a wash. Then I looked at my 10 year old GE washing machine and decided to give her a break. I don't go to laundromats much so wasn't sure what to expect. The woman running the place was very kind and directed me to the right machine for the job. $7.75 for a wash but it all fit in, for one 48 minute wash. She even gave me a cup of Downy! read more

Soapy Suds Laundromat - Soapy Suds! - Laundromat Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

Always clean and place is well attended. However wish they had more big dryers. Lady that works there always taking over the only one big dryer there is, sucks for those that really are trying to dry big comfort sheets. read more

Place was well lit and spotless. The fellow running the place (Steve) was friendly and very helpful in moving me through the process on my first visit. I'll be back. read more

This laundromat was very clean & a great value. Bring actual cash because the machines operate on quarters which are easy to get from their change machine. May seem a bit old school, but you won't get hacked. The manager was great. He is so friendly & very helpful. Safe, clean & friendly atmosphere. read more

Friendly staff. My washer broke so I walked in there not really knowing how to run the machines. The gentleman who worked there was very kind and helpful. read more

Don't go here! Dryers suck and very expensive it's 25cents for only 5 minutes at other places you get double the time. Clothes came out smelling like wet dogs and I don't own any pets. Never coming back here again read more

Best laundromat! It's very organized and clean. I've never had an issue with any of the machines. I love the extra large machines because I'm able to wash multiple large thick blankets and they come out extremely clean. Give this place a try. You won't regret it! read more

This is about as good a laundromat as I've ever seen, and I suspect the reason is Steve, the gentleman who manages this establishment. I came here while traveling with my family for vacation, and we had packed light. We needed to do a lot of laundry. Steve explained each machine. There are different sizes available for your different needs. The place is spotless. Steve was always cleaning. He also keeps an eye out for your clothes to make sure no one is messing with it. The machines are of high quality. But Steve is the key. read more

Came here a couple times and the gentleman that works here is amazing and super helpful!! I needed some extra bags for my clean clothes and he offered me the ones I needed! Really well ran and super clean and great experience! I'll definitely keep coming back even though this location is further than a laundromat closer to my home. read more

Love coming here! I drive out from Goleta because it's just way betterWashers are always nice and clean, if something isn't working, it's repaired by the next time I come. read more

I like this place for it's "community". Pepe is the day manager and a rare find. He is like Socrates and a therapist...he talks to everyone abut everything. All the "mechanics" of the laundry work great.(I come here because where I live -OY! Machines go out of order all the time. My only criticism is for the NIGHT manager. He is VILE tempered. And not just with me...for just about every WOMAN who walks by the joint. He has a 360 temper. He SCREAMS...SCREAMS.....Has no concept of an "Inside Voice". I am not the only woman he abuses...and it is ABUSE. And I am at a ZERO policy for such behavior. I do not care if he is mentally ill...(which he clearly is) I know it is a case of "he said -she said"....but the "SHE'S" out weigh the "He's". The owners should consider the liability of having a Psychopath in there employ. This guy is a hephalump with a bad attitude....and needs to NOT work with or near the public. Daytime laundry ONLY is my suggestion. read more

I went to this laundry mat for the first time in 10 plus years. Right when I pulled up an employee walked out asking if I needed a cart. The whole time I was there they were cleaning and asking people if they needed help or any bags to take their laundry home. I have now been here 3 times and every time I've come its been great. I am always greeted with a smile and they ask if I need help. I feel very safe because there is always someone on duty that actually pays attention. read more

Steve does an amazing job keeping this place clean along with Lalo! Definitely recommend this place for your laundry needs! Friendly environment! read more

This place is not only spotless, but I felt VERY safe there late at night and for me that is a make or break for a laundromat. There are laundromats that are more or less OK, but they usually have no bathroom AND they feel creepy and unsafe. This one was clean, bright, had bathroom facilities, the equipment all worked, and there was a man present (owner?) who was continually cleaning and polishing everything, and was friendly and helpful at every turn. The one on Alamar has seen the last of me, I'll be going here from now on! read more

My first time there, and Steve showed me the ropes as well as made me feel right at home. Shout out to that man because now I'm looking forward to my next laundry visit. read more

Wash: $3.50 for small older commercial washers, then size/price increases to: $4.75, $5.50, $7.00 Drying is $0.25 / 8 minutes Yup, staff is nice and it's clean and stuff (this was mostly to help with price questions) read more

I can't say that going to the laundromat is usually a *fun* experience, but if I have to go to one this place takes the cake. Clean facility, large machines in good order, and a lot cheaper than the ones I'm used to. Steve was a delight to talk to while my laundry was going, and he worked hard the whole time while keeping up great conversation. What a gem! read more

I put an expensive perfect condition cal king size pillow top in their super size washer and it came out literally shredded in 3 places, with pulls and multiple straight line tracks looking like it had been dragged multiple times over something sharp. We brought it to the attention of the attendant and he simply pointed to the sign that they're not responsible for any damage. We felt inside the washer and you could physically SEE AND FEEL a sharp edge on the drum. We took pictures. We took videos. We showed the attendant and he said there was nothing there, that there was nothing sharp. You could SEE IT!! Ugh!! He called the owner and the owner told the attendant not to talk to us any more, and he turned and walked away and refused to engage with us again. DO NOT GO TO THIS LAUNDROMAT!! They do NOT care about or believe in their legal obligation of standard of care!!! read more

If you want to be Screamed at then go ahead and use this laundromat!! I will never go back!!!! I was sitting outside waiting for my Clothes to finish washing. They had a shift change at 6:30 or 7:00 pm the man that just started came up to me 3 times saying I was not supposed to be there unless I was using their facilities. I kept telling him that my clothes were washing. Finally, I put them in the dryer and went back outside I had 40 minutes on my dryer 20 minutes later he came out and started screaming at me again, saying that I was not supposed to be there unless I was using their facilities for the fourth time and that I could not leave trash on "his" table. The cup holder was on the table when I first arrived it was not mine. I don't know what his problem was and don't care he had no reason to tell me 4 times " even after I told him l was washing my clothes " that I was not supposed to be there unless I was using the Machines. All 4 times screaming at me. Maybe because I was dressed nicely? I'm a Dr. Ph.D. I don't know, but I will never go back, there are more places to do your washing. Do yourself a favor and never go to Soapy Suds. read more

Empty most of the time. Nice big machines. Cleans clothes great. Place is always clean and wiped down.

Was in and out in about an hour. The people in the laundromat were very nice and helpful. It was $7 to wash my large load and $1 to dry it. This was definitely wayyy more expensive than I anticipated, but it got the job done. All of my clothes (regular clothes, work pants and scrubs) came out fine so overall I was happy. read more

The person in the picture was rude. I was doing my drying because my dryer has not been working. I've been her before but tonight there was 4 dryers open and the person in the picture said that I cannot do my drying until people have finished theirs. This is a small town and rudeness will get you out of business. I will never return to this establishment. Please know that Launderland I'm De La Vina has friendly staff and a good amount of machines. This place is a dump with rude people in charge. There are many friendlier places in town, don't waste your money on this one. read more

I don't usually go to laundrymats, but I had to wash my comforter. This guy(Pepe) is nuts! He wouldn't wear a mask, says he's "allergic" sat there on his phone ignoring everybody in there, most everbody was not wearing a mask...place is FILTHY. Some people were cleaning their own areas... I left. He's not even trying to keep his customers safe read more

This place was awesome. It was clean, the machines worked great, they were playing tasty hip hop jams and the employee was super nice. It was a hot day and he gave popsicles to all the customers. read more

Hands down best laundry services around! When you first walk in you not only have a pleasant smell but you see how clean and well kept this establishment is! Being new to town and recently having back surgery I had to ask a friend who drove over 50min to help me wash my family's clothes. Call me what you want, but I never had to use a laundromat before moving to SB, I was fortunate enough to always have my own washer and dryer. We met the owner Pepe and I believe his wife, they were kind and super compassionate about my recent surgery. I asked about their services and agreed to have them finish the LARGE loads of laundry I started. Clean, folded and packaged up waiting for me at the time they quoted. I am so thankful I choose to come to here, and met Pepe. Without them I'd still be struggling trying to fold everything. I will recommend this establishment to everyone. And for the people who had a "bad encounter" Pepe, all I can say, maybe you were the problem and not him. He's just trying to run a business and provide for his family in the middle of a pandemic, so relax. read more

I came in for the first time and somehow managed to screw up one of the washers causing it to overflow and clog the drain. The supervisor on duty was a nice gentleman named Steve. He kindly responded to the situation with reassurance that it was ok and not to worry. After we got my load out, he paid for a fresh cycle for me! I will definitely be coming here again. read more

I've done A LOT of laundry as a college student in SB and this place is one of the best I've been to. It's located in the same shopping center as Ralph's so albeit it's not the most glamorous laundromat, it gets the job done. $2.50 for one load's worth of detergent (Bounce, Tide, etc.) $2.50/$4.50/$6.25 per wash. Yep! Tiered system in case you have more vs. less laundry. I used the $2.50 wash because I had a teeny weeny load and it took 30 minutes..(laugh all you want). $0.50 for the first 10 minutes, then $0.25 for every 5 minutes thereafter for the dryer. They have both front load and top load washers (wait I didn't think the second one still existed), and front load dryers. Your typical change machine and single use detergent - if you're too lazy to cross the parking lot and buy some. read more

We were in town because of a medical emergency. After 10 days we needed to have our Laundry done. Saw the great reviews of Soapy Suds and gave them a try. So glad we did. Due to a time crunch between our schedule and their closing, Pepe offered to drop the clothes off at our hotel, no added charge. Wow!!! He was the nicest man I've met in a long time. When we arrive back at the hotel, our neatly folded laundry was in the chair, and our dress shirts were hanging in the closet. I can't thank them enough. The definitely went above and beyond. THANK YOU!!! read more

Clean, nice laundromat with new machines. The reason for the 2 stars is the quarter machine ate my $20 bill, then went out of service. I called their phone number, but no one answered and there was no voicemail... Their sites says full time attendant, but it doesn't look like there's one. Updated: the owner came by (really nice guy!) and gave me a refund. read more

Nice big machines. The guy working here is always around and is really nice. He could tell I was kind of new to using the laundromat machines and helped me a lot. I lost a quarter in one machine and without asking for one from him, he came by and put a quarter in the machine for me. Would definitely come here again when I need to. read more

Seemed a little expensive but I loved the guy that was there helping you. I don't usually go to laundromat but was helping out a relative and I had no idea how it all "worked". Went late morning on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. So big thumbs up to the attendant who was so pleasant and helpful. read more

The is a small laundromat seems clean enough, free wifi, no TV but good 80's music playing. Close enough you can pop into Ralph's or grab some lunch/dinner. It's a touch more expensive than the one further down the street, which is expected since it's in a shopping center with more to do than sit around. Single load $3.00 Three load machine $4.75 Six load machine $7.00 Dryer $0.25 per 8 min of dry time. I swear others at double the time for the same price. :-/ Also. After my wash. The clothes came out smelling kinda like dirty water! It was really strange. read more

Very nice staff , laundry is clean, and macines are modern. Always an attendant on duty.

Every time I come to this place is a great experience (for a laundromat). The African American gentleman that works here is the nicest guy. Always helping out others and seems to really care. Give that guy a raise! read more

The service in there is great. On October 29th my sister and I went in there at around 9 O'clock (remember the last wash is at 10:15) and the man who works there at night went out of his way to greet us, help us, as well as all the other customers, and unlike the laundromat down the street, one can use the bathroom there. This man (whose name I don't know) was constantly working, cleaning, (the place is VERY clean) and making sure the place is in top shape. I don't know if he's the owner, but if he's not, I hope the owner knows he earns every penny of his salary. We WILL be back there. read more

The African American employee was extremely rude.! I wanted to check the prices, but unfortunately I had forgotten my mask. So i put my shirt over my face, and walked in real quick. All of a sudden this man proceeds to curse and yell at me, tellling me to "get out". He was way out of line and this is absolutely no way to speak to someone. I will never spend a dollar there. read more
