The atmosphere is super cute and my nails turned out great. You pay a little more than you would other places but the scrubs and products they use are worth it along with the extra massage time which is wonderful. They also have a cocktail menu or mocktails and tea for refreshments. I will definitely return! read more

I know this Covid era presents challenges and I did speak to an owner and manager and unfortunately where they fall short really has nothing to do with the virus restrictions and looking at past reviews it's not really isolated to the time frame. First visit: 30 minutes late, put in a room upstairs with no music or any sort of ambiance. definitely not a 'spa' atmosphere. Technician didn't really talk at all and seemed very put out when I asked for a way to pick a shellac color. My shellac lasted all about 4 days before it was peeling off. Owner and manager offered to do another service free of charge in which I took them up on. I had my pedicure re done at the same location. I wasn't even offered anything to drink which is part of what they advertise. Not water or anything. Again- no spa experience at all. The tech nor the receptionist attempted to be friendly or converse this time either. How they justify the price of these very lacking services, I have no idea. Spa nails right down the street is half the price and my pedicures are 10x better. read more

When I first moved to Reno about a year ago, I set out to find the best pedicure experience in town. I asked around, and the most highly recommended nail salon in Reno was Soak by a landslide. My next-door-neighbor and I had a wonderful experience relaxing in the oversized comfy chairs, enjoying a mimosa and chatting. (What's better than getting pampered with a mimosa in hand?) Our nail techs and the woman who checked us in were upbeat, interesting and friendly. The atmosphere was cool and hip. Five stars all the way for Soak! read more

I really enjoyed the experiance here. I loved the "shopping" that is used as decor. I loved the chairs and the bowls and rocks in the bowls. My nails looked fabulous when she was done. However, my massage was about 5 minutes total, I was getting a pedicure with my boss and the tech asked if I "liked" working for her... um, she can hear you... and the manicures (which i personally didnt get) are akward, because they literally give it to you "in your lap"... hmm. But I will go back. read more

Cute salon, short wait and Excellent service! It's downtown location is close my office, so lunchtime appointments are definitely doable. Can't wait to come back! read more

I read the reviews on Soak and decided to pay them a visit. I got 2 pink drinks which I really enjoyed. The pedicure was so relaxing. The ambience is great and they give attention to their clients. I'll definitely be going to Soak every time am in Reno!! read more

I love love love Soak! Its guaranteed to be a fun day, no matter what. The cocktails are beautiful as well as the decorations! Such a beautiful building that creates such a relaxing environment! Everything about Soak rocks. I love all the bags and jewelery, the colors of polish, and every girl there is so sweet! I remember my mom and I got our nails done before my friend's wedding and it was a PERFECT mother daughter day. Glasses of wine accompanied by a quiet, friendly environment turned out to be one of the best days ever. I hope Soak will last forever. Even if I move out of Reno, I will make a trip back just to get my nails done! No joke! read more

I love Soak! The best spa to get my tired feet an awesome makeover!! Great manicurists, great drinks, lots of fun! Looking forward to my next visit! read more

This place is great if you are looking for the social aspect. the pink drink was by far amazing and everyone is very friendly!! the pedicure was really good until they got to the massage. I have been to two girls and i let it slide with the first one because maybe someone else was better, but no. they definitely need to learn how to massage better. The prices match up if you get a good massage but i havent gone to anyone that does. But they are really friendly and the guy at the front desk gets you your drink right away. i love this place if you are going with a group of girls and it is fun and a relaxing place to be. read more

The pedicure was great, The staff is very friendly, the building is cute. I had an excellent experience, Erin did a great job!

Although the work is ok, waited 30 minutes for my appointment to start. The location is good, but not nearly as well run as the foothill location. No one handling the front desk so you are left standing there feeling very awkward while clients just look at you fiddling your thumbs. Would not go back. read more

Celebrating my 12yr old twins girls, bday they got the diva in traning manis..and absolutely loved it..my sevice was a shellac fill and great..this was our first time and will be back..definitely my new nail salon.. read more

SOAK - Downtown Reno - Nail Salons Near Me - Reno, Nevada

See all

Cute atmosphere. I got a pretty but overpriced drink. Prices are outrageous which sets up high expectations but the pedicure was mediocre at best. They have some nice little scrubs and lotions, but the tech really rushed the job and I felt pretty gypped on the massage. Within a week my polish was chipping. I ended up going to Pro Nails and getting a much more thorough service, and a better polish job. I was disappointed because the place has potential and you go in expecting to be super pampered with a luxury service, but sadly it just wasn't great. Would not go back. read more

That place is a joke, after 30 minutes of waiting they told me i cant get my nails done...

This place is amazing. Perfect shape awesome color & patient extremely patient. I couldn't decide on a color but they were nice enough to help me decide. read more

Went to Soak off of 2nd Street for a pedicure with a friend. It was really nice and cute in the building. Had the upgraded pedi which was so nice on my feet. I felt that my feet were moisturized but not overly oily and the nail polish work was nicely done. I will definitley go back and will try their signature drink! read more

My aunt and I were pampered by the kind and friendly girls at Soak. Wonderful, cleanly, exciting (foot mask?!?), and boozy (double points for this). Plus an extensive color selection. My toes look great still, several weeks later. Well worth the price... a high-end experience compared to other nail salons in Reno. read more

Came in for a business meeting and a pedi a couple weeks ago! To start, SOAK is located on 2nd street in a cute vintage style building that looks like a remodeled house (super chic and super cute!) totally my thing. As I walked in a little early for my appointment, the staff welcomed me with warm hellos and smiles. I lounged back in the comfy chairs and my nail tech explained the type of pedicure I was going to receive and went in detail about all the fun lotions and scrubs that were included, and gave each to me to smell! YUM. She soaked my feet and gave each food and leg its own special rub down and attention. Best pedicure I have had in forever! 10/10 will recommend! The owner Shannon also came and welcomed me and we chatted for a minute about business. Very happy to see the management is so engaged with the customer. (: CANT WAIT TO COME BACK read more

Had a wonderful pedicure experience. Very comfortable, nice, fun and very professional.

I have been to Soak multiple times, both locations, and today's experience has been the best so far. They had a special running for a seasonal pedi for 50% off so of course I had to book one. I'm so glad I did and I'm so glad I got Jessica. She was so sweet, had great pressure for the massage (a must have for pedis in my opinion) and my toes look great! She even filed the shape perfectly for what I wanted. I enjoyed chatting with her and the pink drink I got complimentary was delicious! The receptionist was also very sweet and made the experience that much better. I will definitely be going to the downtown location from now on and only be seeing Jessica! Thanks for the great service :) read more

SOAK is a place for me to escape from the madness of being a single mom and full time employee. I love sitting in that cozy chair and the girls that work there are so much fun. Especially Cybil! It is clean, friendly and you can never pass up a pink drink! I only wish I could make it in more often! read more

I got a pedicure and it was great. I received excellent service and the technician, Tahnee, was great. She took her time and answered any questions I had about the products. It was a relaxing experience and afterwards, I felt very spoiled. My feet are now ready for summer and sandals! read more

I love this place! I take all my friends and family here when they are in town visiting, everyone loves it! And I have gotten my shellac mani/pedis done here sense I moved to reno 3 years ago. I always go to Rose, she is the best! read more

I walked into Soak on a whim as an out of towner with half of my shellac still on in a failed attempt to remove my own gel manicure. Needless to say, the folks at Soak squeezed me in for a 10 min removal and gave me a quick manicure. Deb is amazing and I am so glad I stopped in. If I lived in Reno it would be my go-to nail spot. read more

I happened to see the extraordinary lengths they go to for safety, sanitation and just plain good service. Sent a friend for a gift, but she doesn't have time to sit at a computer, and she loved every minute of it. So, she asked if I could let everyone know what a great experience it was. If you want a private room, that can be requested, I think. But they are just so, so busy, and on a Historical street, so nowhere to expand. They do have those private tents somewhere for a month's pay somewhere though if you don't want people around while you get your toes painted. read more

Loved our time here! Sabrina and Andrea were great with my 9 year old niece and I. Loved it!

Worst ever. French manicure is clear polish over the nail with white tips? Pedicure at soak - Gave it three tries, different girl each time. All three were a waste of money. Still have ruff heels and the bottoms of my feet are ruff as well. I guess they just stop working on your feet when their done, no matter if your feet are nice and smooth or not. However, with that being said the staff is wonderful. Very nice people. I just got three of the worst pedicures ever. read more

Good job, great atmosphere. Can't wait to take the kids. Fresh soak was the best - they take reservations

I had a really great time here getting a shellac manicure and pedicure before my wedding. My nail tech Jen was really nice and did a great job and took her time! They were also really cool about us changing our appointment up a little bit with short notice. I had only wished the receptionist would have asked if we wanted drinks a little sooner but no big deal. :) read more

they are ok at this location. first time I went in the receptionist had an attitude. I had a pedi done. the nail tech was nice. she said I was going to get an ingrown toe nail and she would round it off so I wouldn't. needless to say I was having no problems with my nails before I want in there and 3 days after I had pain from an ingrown nail. I wish she hadn't tried to fix it at all. if u go to soak go to the south reno locaton they have better customer service and are friendlier, may be the part of town the south one is in (higher income area) and this one is in a rougher area read more

I like SOAK because it's easy to book online, I enjoy the salon ambience, the drinks are great, the people are friendly, and I always leave with amazing nails. read more

Came here with my mother and sister for my mother's birthday. Dakota did my mani and pedi and I absolutely loved it! The staff was very friendly and made sure we were okay. They even noticed my moms mood changed during her service and did everything they could to correct the situation. All three of us are definitely coming back! read more

I hosted an event for some women clients at Soak. My experience was first class. The cocktails were delicious and the service was awesome! My clients left pampered and all had a fantastic experience there. I would definitely recommend Soak to any women in my life. This was my FIRST pedicure ever and I have to say it was such a great experience! I loved the way I was pampered! I went with a couple coworkers and we were all alone on the 2nd floor chatting away with no other customers-just us! I really liked that someone came in and offered us a drink and not once did I feel uncomfortable. I would definitely go again! Did I mention they have awesome jewelry and handbags for sale?!!! Lol - LOVE IT!! read more

My daughter and I went there for a standard pedicure and Dolce and Deanna did a great job. Very friendly and professional, and made the experience fun for us. Many thanks. read more

The pedicures are amazing! They're a little more pricey than the typical salon but it's well worth it. You leave feeling pampered and relaxed and the cocktails are great! read more

Excellent experience at Soak! Pedicure turned out awesome! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable! Can't wait to go back!

I have been to Soak many times over the years and bought many gift cards. I have been satisfied enough with my pricey pedicures but have had two bad experiences with policies. And so I'm done! First time the wedding party pedicures were screwed up by staff and no offer to make it right was made. No discounts no nothing. People were coming from out of town. This week my son was told the service they offer for Little Miss pedicures is fine unless you go to 5 little girls instead of 4. At that point the price goes up $100!! Unreal. Ocean Spa and Nails here we come. Give them a try read more

My daughter and I made last minute appointments and had Elisa and Janelle. Awesome manicures! Brown sugar scrub, hot towels, so friendly. I'm coming back anytime I'm in a Reno. read more

DON'T GO!!!!! My appointment started at 8:00 am and i left early to be sure to get there on time since i didn't know where it was. I arrived around 7:45 and the doors will still locked. At 8:00 i peaked in to see if i could see anyone, but no one was around but i happened to see the sign in the window saying they opened at 9:00am. After a few more minutes i figured i had gotten my time wrong and it was really at 9:00, like the door said, and left because i had to pee so bad that i was dancing. I returned around 8:20 and it was open. I went inside and the door chimed, but i still waited 13 minutes until someone came to the front desk to help me. Due to lack of costumers they were still able to see me. The girl doing my nails said she saw me walking around outside and said i should have knocked on the door to have someone open it. How rude! She saw me out there and still didn't let me in and tried to tell me it was my responsibility to open their business! Tell me about horrible costumer service! It gets worse... My treatment then started with her cleaning my nails with rubbing alcohol, but she was so bad at that that she actually splashed it into my face and eyes! That does not feel very pleasant by the way. At this point i would have walked out, but my wedding was in two days and i didn't know if i would be able to make an appointment anywhere else in time and i didn't want to chance it. My nails did turn out to look ok, they were gels, from a distance, but up close you could easily see how uneven they were. It was so bad people even commented on it with out me saying anything. Now I have never had gels done before, but I have been told that they should last at least 3 months, but i had one that had started to fall off before my wedding, 2 days after i got my nails done! Only two nails actually lasted a full week, but i ended up taking them off because it wasn't very attractive to only have two nails done. If this has not turned you off to soak read some other reviews, hardly any seem positive. DON'T DO IT, it is way to expensive, and you get horrible and rude service on top of that. Save yourself. read more
