    Megan's idea on setting up the reception. We loved it and our guests did too!

    Oh... where do I even begin?!? It's only been a few days, and we are still relishing from all the fun festivities this past weekend. Megan Steele was our wedding planner, and she was of the best out there. Truly. I found SoEventful through theknot.com when I was starting to plan, reached out to have an intro call and immediately connected with Megan. It wasn't even necessary to check on other wedding planning companies or interview other planners cuz I was so sure she'd do a great job. Oh and SoEventful's motto is for you to attend your own event as a guest. Boy, did Megan deliver on that one completely! I'm sure all of the other wedding planners at SoEventful are just as amazing, but... if we were to ever have an event in the future up in Sonoma County, I will be calling on Megan again. Why? Well, she is super professional in a way I can't describe. She is such a good fit for this type of work since it's intense (deadlines to be met, getting vendors on board etc) and yet she stays calm throughout. It was just what I needed along the entire way since her calmness only affects others in a good way. And now, I have only memorable thoughts of the entire planning process and the wedding itself of course. Our wedding was stunning, and I owe that in large part to her meticulousness in getting all those details ironed out. There is no way our wedding would have been the way it was without Megan. She had answers to all my questions leading up to the wedding and then had ideas she shared that I will treasure forever. Simple things like on the day of our wedding - she asked us to snap a Polaroid and start our guest book. What a cute and endearing idea. It set the tone for the wedding - that we are there to enjoy our own wedding! And beyond that, we didn't have to think about anything other than have fun at our own wedding. Wow. And indicative to the type of person Megan is, I truly miss working with her. Isn't that what we all hope for after having a big event? Megan is the best, and I hope to cross paths will her soon. Hoping another party is in our future so I can work with her :)

    If you're looking for someone to keep you sane and get things done -- I cannot speak more highly of Samantha Paull! Here's a mini rant that doesn't even cover all of the reasons we loved working with Samantha: Last June we were putting together a 300+ Indian wedding and decided to go with a venue that was like a blank slate. It was a barn and vineyard combination and we chose to bring our own catering, stock our own bar and figure out lighting and decoration on our own. On top of that we wanted to make sure we had a fusion ceremony that was Indian as well as "American" so we wrote our own ceremony. Samantha was unbelievably helpful. I'm a designer, so I had a lot of elaborate visions -- but I also had no experience in event planning. Samantha was able to keep up with all of my racing thoughts while still keeping me grounded relatively on budget. She was able to recommend vendors that best suited what we needed. We even had to coordinate shuttles from the parking lot to the venue and she was able to help us find the best rate as well as keep things smooth on the day of the wedding. Though we hired her to be our 'day of planner' -- Samantha was much more than that. I honestly don't think we could have had such an amazing day without her. We felt so at ease and prepared before the wedding that when the day actually came around we were able to completely detach from logistics and enjoy the day. She was able to make sure all of the pieces of the Indian ceremony ran smoothly and that the mandap structure was beautiful and ready to go. She gracefully handled logistics between the rentals, lighting, draping, caterer, live music and most importantly family. Everyone was so relaxed and we all were able to just ENJOY. The day of all the tiny details of things I had DIY made were magically in place without needing me at all-- from hanging lights, to programs, to balloon garlands to even cupcake stands I had made. On top of that, there were so many wonderful personal touches she just did-- like she had our favorite cocktail and some appetizers brought to us while we were changing between the ceremony and reception. And during the reception she made sure we had time to eat and enjoy some time to ourselves... and she stayed until late in the night to make sure everyone was safely on shuttles. On top of ALL of that she was just such a joy to work with. I honestly miss chatting with her and bouncing ideas off of her!

Jessica & LaShawna are freaking stars! The planning process was seamless. I was so impressed with the attention to detail at the wedding venue walkthrough. We walked the entire venue, bounced ideas off each other for placement of every single item, and built a schematic. They even measured the venue to know exact placement of tables, chairs, etc. Planning the wedding was so easy/smooth thanks to the planning tools and check ins. Our rehearsal was straight to the point and very easy. We didn't need the full two hours allotted by our venue because they were on top of everything! Then came the wedding day. Our bridal salon overlooked the venue, so we were able to see the progress throughout the day. THEY WORK HARD!! and I mean, they pay attention to every single little detail to make sure the place looks beautiful and perfect. It was so impressive, we all couldn't stop talking about it. The wedding day went seamless, on time, and without a single issue. Jessica and LaShawna were there every step of the way, speaking to each other through their own personal headpieces. If anything came up or if I had any questions, they were there and ready to help where needed. My wedding wouldn't have gone as well as it did without them, I promise. I feel so grateful to have had the best team out there!! We also decided to hire the CLE House cleanup crew which was fantastic as well! We initially considered just eloping to the courthouse. It would be simple, cost-friendly, and likely worry-free. The more we talked, however, we began to realize that we truly wanted a day that was unique, special and a reflection of us. That's when I found the Run Away with Me website. I was impressed with the approachable pricing and simple planning process. Shortly after emailing the staff, I heard back from a coordinator who listened thoughtfully while I described my partner and I - our likes and dislikes. We actually didn't have too many expectations. I don't like pink or yellow, and we wanted something small and simple. In other words, I didn't give the team much to go on. The day of our wedding, I met with the stylist for hair and makeup. She was friendly and did such an incredible job. Meanwhile, the team showed up with the most peaceful aura. The setup was carefully planned and gorgeous. The flowers and cake were spot on. The officiant was well-prepared. I can say that our wedding day was amazing. We had a ceremony that reflected us perfectly. It was not over-the-top, and most importantly, my partner and I did not have months of negotiations with photographers and venues or worries about color palettes keeping us awake at night. Instead, we could spend that time building our relationship and working on our promises to each other. I don't really have words to express how well-prepared, professional and kind the team was. We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees! Thank you, Kimberly for helping make our wedding one we'll always treasure and never forget! It was more magical than we could have ever envisioned!

My 14 month engagement turned into 26 months and I cannot imagine having gone through the challenges the pandemic and wild fires presented without Kelly. In addition to her gorgeous work, creativity, and connections in the industry, she is as genuine as can be and truly wants the best for her brides, grooms and their families. Not only does Kelly want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and fun as possible, but she also does an incredible job of getting to know you and making the wedding extremely personal. She got to know my husband and me in addition to our story and overall vision for our special day/weekend. Kelly goes above and beyond. For example, Kelly knew mine and my husband's love for Crumbl cookies and it became a shared love between all of us. She had the great idea to pick up Crumbl catering for our Rehearsal Dinner, which was also my husband's birthday, because she knew how special that would be for us. This is just the smallest example of Kelly's thoughtfulness throughout the whole process. Our wedding planning process presented extreme challenges between having to postpone a full year due to the pandemic and having to find a new venue/caterer/other vendors after our original venue burned down, but Kelly had my back every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to give us the best options while still taking our budget and preferences into consideration. The day would not have been possible without her and we are forever grateful for her dedication, her hard work, and her genuine love for what she does. Three months later, anytime we see our friends and family, they still talk about how perfect and absolutely stunning our wedding day and weekend was. I knew our day would be special but it was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and the ASE team went above and beyond in creating the most special, beautiful, personalized and intimate wedding for us and I will forever be grateful. I could go on for several more paragraphs, but in conclusion, if you are looking for a wedding planning team, you will be in the best hands with A Savvy Event!

    Stephanie is an absolute gem of a wedding planner…read more I usually freak people out with my hyper-organized lifestyle, but when I found Stephanie, I felt like we were separated at birth. She is brilliant at what she does -- she has the best recommendations for vendors, wedding day timelines, decor, everything. Whenever I second guessed myself, she was there to reassure me or point me in the right direction. Nothing slips through the cracks. She is everything a bride needs going into her big day. Our wedding day was flawless. Absolutely nothing went wrong, and if it did, I still have no idea to this day because Stephanie handled it all. I will be forever grateful for having her when I think of our special day.

We are a month before our event now and sitting back amazed at how smoothly everything is going. She's honest in her recommendation of vendors -- she doesn't take kickbacks and has worked with a lot of people. Everyone we talk to, from caterers to bands, to our venue say that she's the best coordinator they've ever seen. Stephanie is 100% professional and dedicated. She's always on time and very responsive to email or phone calls and has met with us in person whenever we want. She helped us to organize things that I never could have thought of -- from accommodation, lighting, larger tables where there are holes in the lawn, to timetables for our wedding day. She's also very creative and artistic. Stephanie has done a range of weddings -- very high end and those on a tighter budget. I know she works in San Francisco and throughout Sonoma and Napa wine country. She told us that she does only two weddings per month. Her rates are incredibly reasonable and she's worth much, much more.
