I was blessed to work with Jessica Kerns from So-Eventful for our destination wedding at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa! She has so much experience working with our venue and was able to provide us with on-point coordination, planning, and stress relief! I told Jessica in the beginning that we wanted to feel like guests at our own wedding and have the weekend be a getaway for us as well as our guests, and goodness did she make it so! Every little detail that could have stressed me out, such as vendor questions or worrying that I wasn't on time with planning, was always met with a smart and practical response or suggestion. On the big day when I was having mini-panics over the smallest things, it was so refreshing to turn to Jessica and have her say "I've already taken care of it!" with a smile on her face! The morning of the wedding I somehow managed to lose my wedding shoes, of all things, and Jessica showed up in the bridal suite with a few new options for me to choose from, all taken care of without me having to stress or worry about a thing. She is absolutely a get it done and make it happen girl! When I delegated some planning tasks to my mom, Jessica worked with her to help assure things were well taken care of and coordinated, such as welcome bags (highly recommend doing these, they were perfect and she made it so easy for us), bridal party luncheon, and a family/friend wine tasting. Since we live across the country, a wedding that could have been super frustrating and exhausting to plan on my own was actually the smoothest process I could imagine, all thanks to Jessica! We had the absolute pleasure of working with wedding coordinator Jennifer Maudru for our son's wedding on 8/18/18. Our son became engaged in July of 2017, set a wedding date in August of 2018 and in October of 2017, we lost everything in the Tubbs Fire in Sonoma County. We were going through so much, I knew I needed help with wedding planning. When I reached out to Jennifer, she was the kindest, calmest, most reassuring person I have ever met. She put me at ease and let me know that she would help us make this special day everything we envisioned it to be. When she said the words, "I want you to be a guest at your own event," I cried. Jennifer made herself available to us at all times. The fact that she was so responsive to all of our calls and emails made our confidence grow. She reached out and offered to do whatever she could to take things off of our plate. Jennifer is extremely detail oriented and professional. She is well respected in the event-planning business, so it made working with different vendors very easy because they had worked together before. To say that our wedding wouldn't have happened without Sam Paull and So Eventful is to not do them justice. She was amazing throughout the entire process. We both live in the UK so a wedding in California was always going to be difficult to organise. Or so we thought. Sam was always available to talk or Facetime with us and made us feel assured and comfortable from moment one. She was on top of all the information and always had answers to all our questions. She was friendly and warm which is exactly what you want. Our wedding was difficult because we lost our first venue in the fires in 2017 so things had to change, including the date. She co ordinated all the changes perfectly and meant our stress was kept to a minimum. On the day she was perfection. Everything was where it was meant to be, when it was meant to be there and in exactly the place we planned. You saw Sam occasionally and she made sure everyone was where they were meant to be at the right time but it was like all the best service, she was there when you needed her but was entirely unobtrusive. There was one moment that sums Sam up. During the meal Aly and I were going around the tables saying thank you. After a while she quietly came up to us and said 'guys you should go and eat now. Everyone is fine and if you don't have some food now you won't get a chance.' The fact she knew to do that then shows her professionalism as well as the rapport she had built with us over the months. I did not have to lift a finger. We wanted to tour wine country on Monday AFTER our wedding, and even then she lined up and amazing day for us! If you are still working on your final vision, they will know exactly what and where to recommend and will work with you to figure it out, every step of the way. For my wedding at Solage in Calistoga, Marisa and her team paid attention to every single detail. Monica Stickley is incredible! I'm thrilled with the results of working with her. She made wedding planning-- which could have been stressful and extremely complicated-- into something that was manageable and even pleasurable! My daughter's wedding was just beautiful, everything we hoped for and more, and I attribute much of its success to Monica.She has so many terrific skills that make her a dream come true wedding planner: superb communication and organization skills, great contact and follow up with vendors, a friendly, warm personality, and a terrific ability for problem solving. She went out of her way to help my sister figure out how to show her movie at the wedding and when I forgot the wine, drove to pick it up. She was very sensitive to some tricky family issues, and she coordinated the various vendors beautifully. My husband and I are so thankful for Monica S. of So Eventful! After initially meeting Monica over coffee at Oxbow Market, we knew she was the perfect fit for us - sweet, upbeat, calm, and organized. Jennifer Verdon is my wedding planner for my upcoming wedding in October. I couldn't be more pleased in my experience with her thus far. Our experience with So Eventful was incredible. We felt taken care of from the minute we hired them. Ashley was our assigned planner, and if she is a testament to the caliber of professionalism So Eventful holds their staff to, then you can feel confident with anyone you work with! Ashley is the most organized, professional and level headed person I have ever met! She made planning our wedding fun, organized and as minimal stress as planning a wedding can be. We got married at Chalk Hill in Healdsburg, which is a stunning location (highly recommend!), but you need to bring everything on site, from tables and chairs to bathrooms and power cords. There are tons of details that go into that, 85% of which I was never privy to because she took care of it! She is also so familiar with all the vendors in the area, and she can guide you in the right direction for your wedding once she has a sense of your vision. This chick knows how to pull off a kick ass wedding! To give her even more credit, we are working through some wrap up details with one of our vendors still, and even though we were married 3 months ago, she is still 100% by our side helping us through it. My new husband and I chose to work with So Eventful for our wedding because of stellar Yelp reviews. After working with Marisa, of So Eventful, I can truly say she is a "10-star" if we ever saw one. Marisa listens carefully, responds thoughtfully, and has plenty of experience (in the trenches, where it counts). Her knowledge of the field and her connections with other vendors and service people all worked to our benefit. She is amazingly generous with her time and attention. Monica Stickley from So Eventful was my planner and I can not praise her enough. When I first decided to get married in Napa, I was worried about being so far away (I live in LA) I knew I needed a planner, I called a couple of different planners and they were not eager to help. When Monica called me back, I knew in seconds she was my girl. The entire time, her goal was to make my event special. I always felt like a priority. My Future husband called her our "wedding quarterback." Not only is Monica the nicest person I've ever met, she always went above and beyond. We were ready to plan our whole wedding by ourselves. But the venue we chose required a wedding planner to be used, and thank God they did. It's possible to plan out every last detail for your own wedding, if you're the type, but it's not possible to execute the plan and get married at the same time. We were lucky enough to be put in touch with Kristen Miller of So Eventful, who met us at the venue to take over our plans, flesh-out the details, and make sure every part of our wedding would be as special as we envisioned. Kristen approached the planning process with the savvy of an experienced event coordinator and the enthusiasm of a favorite cousin. She put us completely at ease in helping manage every detail leading up to the date, coming up with contingency plans as the forecast threatened rain. We cannot recommend Kristen enough. When you are planning a wedding and are adding up all of the expenses and starting to stress-out over money, don't cut corners on the one expense that is going to make the whole thing come together into an event to remember. I have nothing but praise for So Eventful! Early on in wedding planning process several friends advised hiring a day-of coordinator. Given our small wedding and tight budget, I brushed off those suggestions. And then my anxiety took over, and my fiance and I decided a day-of coordinator was more than worth the cost! Marisa worked closely with me up front to customize a package that worked for our needs - we had planned our entire wedding, we just needed someone to execute everything day-of. Meghan was our day-of coordinator, and she was amazing. I was just so thankful to have her, but seeing her in action during our wedding validated the value in having her. Instead of running around like a crazy person the day before and day of my wedding, I was able to enjoy time with friends and relax a little before the main event! Two months before my wedding, my coordinator had to back out. Near meltdown, I asked some friends for recs and found Monica with So Eventful. Luckily, she was available. I'd basically planned my entire wedding myself for a year-and-a-half, and so much of the pressure was lifted immediately once I hired her (my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!) While she normally would have a lot more time to work with her brides, she jumped in and helped me pull it all together in the short window we had, communicating with my vendors, keeping me on track with the dozens of tasks, and bringing my attention to things I never would have thought about myself!
