The level of detail was amazing, we came back to our hotel room with all our remainder of desserts and food and she even included champagne for us to celebrate. As the groom, I had nothing to worry about the entire night, anything I needed her and her staff were readily available. For my wife's sake, the pressure of planning and management of the wedding was completely relieved. She felt relaxed once Jordan took over as point. We highly recommend their services. We started with a fun day of venue scouting up and down Napa and Sonoma, based on some recommendations she had sent over from our estimated budget, wedding size, and theme. She had great ideas for each venue and after the day was over we knew that she would be an asset to our wedding team. We asked Lindsey to come on as a Day of Coordinator, but she was helpful even before our three month planning period began. This venue was also pretty particular in set-up and break-down protocols which to me sounded overwhelming, but if there was ever a problem, I had no idea, because to me everything was as seamless as if Lindsey had been working there for years. Throughout the whole process, Lindsey was very supportive of our ideas and even did some major work to help us DIY a few elements of our wedding to cut costs down. Julia did an outstanding job. Our wedding in Sonoma was perfect! In the 3 months leading up to the wedding, we had weekly calls with Julia where she made sure we were on track. She guided us through the tougher decisions, deftly navigated our in-call arguments, and gave us great ideas and advice on the items we wanted to DIY. I have a super high bar for this type of thing (I am hyper-organized and type-A in my work), and I generally feel like to do things right, I have to do them myself. However, the way Julia carried herself and got stuff done, she earned my complete faith in her. In the couple of months leading up to the wedding, Julia drove the communications with vendors, took meetings with our venue and catering coordinators as needed (so we didn't have to), and made sure rides, rentals, and other vendors were all aligned. Julia was also always available if I was freaking out about something - if I ever called she always returned my calls extremely promptly. The wedding - perfect. It was just flawless, and we didn't have to do anything! Julia handled it all. Lindsey was the first party planner my mother and I spoke to when we began planning a joint birthday party on our family vineyard, Gantz Family Vineyards. Alycia Krause was our wedding planner for our September 16th wedding at Cornerstone Sonoma. She and her team were unbelievable! Everyone told me to get a wedding planner but we were trying to watch our budget so I thought I could do a lot of it myself. Boy, was I wrong and everyone else was right! This is one area you do not want to skimp on. Alycia was very professional and let me bother her with as many questions as I could possibly think of. Not only was she a wedding planner, but she was like a therapist too! She had great answers for everything and kept me calm. The weekly calls before the wedding helped ease the stress and she took a lot of the burdens on her own shoulders. She was able to recommend the best vendors and work seamlessly with them. She was organized, extremely thoughtful, professional, and trustworthy. I was able to say "whatever you think is best" and then she executed perfectly. I wish I could give L'Relyea Events 10 stars! I chose Lindsey Relyea's full service design and planning services for my September 19th wedding. Lindsey was by far the best partner I could have ever asked for when planning the big day. She's extremely detail oriented, professional, a great listener/communicator, and has amazing design sensibilities. This coupled with her expert knowledge of wine country and vendor recommendations made planning an incredible experience. I had a good idea of type of day and weekend I wanted to create, but with Lindsey's help we created an experience to remember. Lindsey helped us right from the beginning -- after an initial call to discuss mine and my husband's thoughts on wedding venues, Lindsey set up a full day of venue scouting for us. She was there the entire time to help answer any questions and ultimately helped us select the perfect venue: Arista Winery in Healdsburg, CA. During the planning process, she created design mood boards to help us narrow in on a wedding design, expertly ran weekly calls where we talked about everything that was being worked on that week, and managed all contracts and conversations with vendors on my behalf. She also had so many creative ideas as to how to make our day special and personal. Lindsey and Julia were so instrumental during the wedding weekend itself. They coordinated every moving part from the rehearsal dinner/ welcome drinks, to the wedding day, to brunch the next morning. I would NOT recommend Lindsey relyea as a wedding planner. Unfortunately our entire experience was extremely disappointing. She made many careless mistakes throughout the entire planning process. She missed our very first call which should have been a red flag, but I didn't think much of it because I know everyone makes mistakes. This unfortunately was just the tip of the iceberg. Part of her job description is reviewing contracts for you from vendors but almost every contract she sent me had multiple errors and unnecessary charges. It was very clear that Lindsey was not trying to save any of our money or stick to our budget. When I would bring these mistakes up to her, it was clear by her response that she hadn't reviewed any of the contracts. Part of her job is to suggest vendors for us, since we were doing our wedding at my parents vacation home and we live in Texas, we relied heavily on her for all vendors suggestions. It seemed like she had a VERY strong preference for vendors she was used to working with despite some of them being very expensive. When I asked her for catering suggestions she sent me ONE caterer and told me how amazing they were and really thought I should just go with them. I explained to her that that would not work, I needed at least one other caterer to compare them to. She was able to find me one other caterer and after both tastings we chose the second caterer. They were much more reasonably priced and the food was just as good. There were multiple times where this occurred with vendors, it was extremely frustrating as a bride, it felt like I was pulling teeth trying to get other vendor suggestions from her that weren't her "regulars" It really felt like Lindsey was working for the vendors and not for us. One of our vendors made a mistake in one of the quotes they sent us and 4 weeks before the wedding Lindsey told us we would have to pay an additional $2,500 for this addition, like it was our fault for their mistake. Instead of representing us and telling the vendor they would have to eat that cost since it was their mistake, she tried to make us pay. After a heated discussion with her and us refusing to pay for their error, the vendor did end up taking that cost off at the end. It really felt like Lindsey had their side on everything and we should just be thankful that we were able to use them during the "busy season" One thing I did like is we would have a call every 2 weeks starting 6 months before the wedding but it seemed like Lindsey didn't work on anything we talked about until an hour before our call. Often times I wouldn't hear anything form her for 2 weeks and then 30 minutes before our call she would send me multiple contracts or emails to review, which was very frustrating since I was jumping on the call right after work. The last week before our wedding was an absolute nightmare. We had an entire outdoor wedding without a wedding plan because it hadn't rained in California in September in 10 years and the tent Lindsey quoted us in the begging was $67,000 HA! And as luck may have it, there was rain in the forecast. We told Lindsey about this and she started looking for an outdoor tent, after a few hours she told my mom there was no tent within 500 miles and the only one she found may or may not be available. So my mom started doing her own research, (which I wish we would have done from the beginning) within an hour she found a pretty outdoor clear ten for $8,000. Because this wasn't one of Lindseys "preferred" vendors, she was incredibly rude to the guy supplying the tent, making all of these demands so he would work around her vendors. He told my mom if we weren't so desperate for this tent, he would refuse to bring the tent because of how rude Lindsey was to him. The final straw was multiple people in our wedding party telling me how rude she was to them the day of our wedding. They said it was very clear that she didn't want to be there. I even had some of my bridesmaids offer to write a negative review for her because of how she acted that day. I interviewed a few wedding planners and even though Lindsey was the most expensive, I chose her because I felt like she had a lot of experience with private estate weddings. My suggestion would be to save the $9,000 she charges and find someone else. read more

Despite being focused on day-of, she had helpful tips, feedback and reached out proactively to help me for several months leading up to my wedding. My wife, Lianna, and I were married on October 6th, 2012 in our hometown of Healdsburg, California. We are currently living on the East Coast, and were thus faced with the challenge of planning our wedding to take place on the other side of the country. We looked into the prospect of a DIY wedding and soon realized that we needed someone whom we could trust to take care of most of the heavy lifting. Lianna's mother came across Lindsey at a wedding expo just outside of Healdsburg and was taken with Lindsey's charm and wedding ideas. We talked with Lindsey on the phone and were excited both with the service package that she drafted for our needs as well as with her fun attitude and personality. We could tell that Lindsey would be really great to work with. From the first planning sessions Lindsey presented great ideas that were really in line with our vision for our wedding: Rustic but Elegant. There were several logistical aspects to overcome with our venue such as how to turn what was really a gravel driveway into the beautiful ceremony site we were envisioning (and that it became!). The day before the wedding the servers we were slatted to work with fell through and Lindsey miraculously arranged another service team that were amazing and even under budget. Lindsey handled it so well that we never even knew this snafu had occurred until after the fact. Lindsey arranged with the rental company to allow us to take chairs and equipment from the venue to use the next day at an in-home post wedding breakfast we hosted for our guests. Lindsey met with our vendors at the wedding site numerous times to work out lighting and catering details. During the reception, when the girl's bathroom had a sudden plumbing issue, Lindsey was there while the rest of us were unaware of the problem. Lindsey was professional in all of our meetings with her, whether in person or over the phone or Skype. She was detail oriented and kept us on track consistently throughout the wedding planning process. lindsey planned my wifes 40th birthday celebration in Napa / Calistoga. I am a very picky person when it comes to efficiency, timeliness, and details. And she nailed it she helped w the invited, coordinating airport transfers, lodging at Solage, welcome bags, spa appts. We had an amazing dinner the first night at an amazing restaurant that she suggested. The next day was filled w biking to wineries, and she assisted w the bikes , maps, reservations, we had an amazing wine tour, followed by a picnic at the winery which she set up and catered, w blankets, tables, etc...was beautiful and perfect. We then went to another winery for dinner which is the best venue for a dinner that i have ever been to. She set up the dinner, w amazing food and wine, and service. Had the perfect live musician for the night, followed by a DJ who kept the party going, and an energetic shuttle ride back w music, and champagne. Any issues that arose or changes that I wanted were taken care of immediately and proficiently. The following day she set up a beautiful cooking class at the CIA, which also ran perfectly. I could not have done this party without her help. This was the perfect weekend away in Napa for my wife, myself, and 20 of our friends. I hired L'Relyea events as the day of coordinator for my June 20, 2015 wedding. And I could not be happier with my decision! My mom and I met with Lindsey, Julia, and Delaney about a month before the big event. They helped us get organized and put the finishing touches on everything! They had great ideas that complemented my overall vision perfectly. When the big day finally arrived Julia and Delaney were there with smiles on their faces to help set-up and run the rehearsal. Thank goodness they were there since it turns out that trying to get 10 family members to set tables for 200 people can be quite complicated without expert guidance! We planned a low key, DIY home town wedding in Calistoga on our 35th anniversary.... we had lots of people offering help, so weren't sure we needed much help. I really wanted a "day of event" person, so I didn't have to think about anything but having fun and enjoying our event that day!!!! Boy, did we get that and so much more- We met with both Lindsey and Julia a few months before our fall wedding. And then worked with Julia, emailing and phone calls, and another meeting or two!!! She had so many great suggestions, and lots of things came up, we just wouldn't have been prepared for. At the "rehearsal" she helped us stage things perfectly, working with our "DIY" issues, and seamlessly pulling all the details together. She seemed to be everywhere the day of the ceremony, never rushing, keeping us on track- I never looked at the time. As I said in my previous review, Lindsey is phenomenal. The whole wedding weekend was perfect, thanks to her. The night of the wedding was beyond words. She produced my dream wedding out of my mumbling rambling conversations with her where I couldn't make decisions for the life of me sometimes. I don't know how she did it. She is amazing. And she is just the nicest person too. She can really mean business when she needs to, and she can be like a friend you've had for years. The wedding went so smoothly. I am still so shocked how perfectly the night went looking back. She was there the whole evening making sure all was well. I have been telling all of my friends that once they get engaged they should use her as their planner. I would recommend her to everyone. Lindsey is fantastic. I hired her as a partial planner last year based on a recommendation from Solage and am very happy I did. She helped make my St. Helena-church-ceremony and Solage-based-reception dream wedding a reality last October. She knows just about every vendor in the Valley and beyond, which was so important when we were negotiating contracts. Moreover, she was really good at working with me long distance, as I live on the east coast, and my mom, who is based in the Bay Area and has her own strong views, throughout the planning process. She was great to have as a neutral party and mediator when our ideas sometimes clashed! And she certainly went above and beyond the day of the wedding. I still remember the big unveil at Solage -- when I saw the room all done for the very first time. It was sooooo magical. Every detail I'd so long imagined in my mind was perfectly executed. And, thankfully, my amazing photographer got a photo of my face which captures my expression perfectly. I was blown away.
