From early on, we were surprised by the lack of proactive recommendations and limited familiarity with Healdsburg and our venue, despite having been told otherwise. As time went on, communication became increasingly sparse, and it was difficult to get clarity on key details. At around four months out, vendors began reaching out to me directly for logistics since they weren't getting responses, which understandably made us anxious about how things would come together. Leslie is a total pro. She has a calm (and soothing!), organized demeanor, is on her email game, and was absolutely the right call for us. This May, we used her for our day of wedding coordinator, with access to email and phone advice from her leading up to the event. We felt her rate was very reasonable and that she went above and beyond. We had a fairly small and straight-forward wedding (~65 people, no dancing), but as any event planner knows, lots of details still come up! She gave us many great ideas, resources, and tips: she found a hair/makeup artist who I loved, for example, and gave us ideas on playlist, decor, seating, ceremony, alcohol considerations, loading/unloading supplies, entrance, and more. It was clear she would be adept at handling a much larger event. I felt like our event was just better for having her there: she was really helpful at directing our rehearsal on logistics like timing and how to stand, and elements of our day that we might want to consider or map out. And on the day of, she was calm and helpful with our guests and kept our schedule going smoothly. I remember at the rehearsal I was panicked because a few of our crew had gotten lost and we were running late (and needed to unload supplies after), and she said calmly, "Don't worry, these never start on time." So comforting! We ended up having some special requirements for our wedding like posting food allergy signs, tracking some activities, having a socially distanced table for one pair... but still, the day ran really smoothly and our decor looked beautiful. I know Leslie was instrumental behind the scenes and all we had to worry about was taking photos and greeting our guests. She even made sure we had downtime to try the appetizers after the ceremony. Loading and unloading was smooth between her and our venue, all our supplies got boxed up neatly and we didn't even have to do anything with cleaning after the event aside from final loading. She came recommended by our caterer (Terry at CaterMarin) and the two of them worked really well together. Leslie planned my daughters wedding in wine country last year. The big day came and being the control freak that I am, I ran over to see if the tables had been set up, checking on the the escort cards, the table numbers, flowers, etc. several hours before the wedding started everything looked perfect! Our wedding day was so much better than we even imagined it would be, and that's in very large part thanks to Leslie. A lot of our early wedding planning stress just came from that feeling of you-don't-know-what-you-don't-know. But Leslie put us at ease every step of the way and helped keep the day (and all the planning leading up to it) calm, relaxing, fun, and meaningful. We hired Leslie as the month of coordinator for our wedding at the Fairmont, and I think hiring her was probably the best decision we made for our wedding. My husband jokes about how different my stress levels were before and after Leslie--it was like night and day. Of all the money we spent on our wedding, the money we spent on Leslie was hands down the best. Because of her I was able to be a happy bride instead of a stressed bride, and I'm just so incredibly thankful for that. We hired Leslie relatively early in the planning process (she was the first vendor we booked after our venue), and she made everything so much easier from the day after we hired her. She did a great job of providing vendor recommendations, and did a wonderful job of working with both the vendors she'd suggested and the ones I'd found on my own. She went above and beyond coordinating some beautiful rentals (that I'm still in love with!), and just made everything run so incredibly smoothly day of. The day after the wedding, my sister in law told me there's a saying that three things go wrong at every wedding, and asked what ours were. Other than having to use the rain location for our ceremony (which Leslie wisely moved inside before guests arrived--she checked three weather apps, made the call, and sure enough it started pouring before the ceremony would've been over), there was literally nothing we could think of that went wrong. We hired Leslie for "Partial Planning" (month-of support, as well as assistance throughout the full planning process) for our wedding in Hopland (near Sonoma County). We have nothing but amazing things to say about Leslie, for both her advance planning assistance and her day-of coordination. Throughout the entire process, Leslie was incredibly organized and proactive, making our lives easy. She was particularly helpful with her recommendations for various vendors (e.g., rentals, florals, photographers), recommendations on particular details (e.g., how to best to tweak lighting & floorplan for reception), communications with vendors (e.g., constant back-and-forth with a difficult shuttle company) and negotiations with certain venues (e.g., our Sunday brunch). She was also highly responsive to us as little things came up during the week of the wedding. However, all of this pales in comparison to what Leslie managed to pull off on the day of our wedding. A few hours before our wedding, our caterer's truck flipped over and the entire food plan was in jeopardy. Leslie moved heaven and earth to rectify the situation -- coordinating with not only the caterer, but with a variety of vendors in an all-hands-on-deck manner (e.g., she asked the florist to pick up a replacement wedding cake, for the rentals company to go buy back-up appetizers, etc.) Somehow, everything managed to be rectified, with only an hour delay for dinner being served (we just danced more beforehand!). Most importantly, Leslie handled all of this calmly and managed to hide this incredibly stressful situation from us and our families until the end of cocktail hour (we went through the entire ceremony & cocktail hour without realizing that this firestorm was going on in the background). The short of it is that Leslie is absolutely all of the things you would want in someone to help you plan your wedding. When we first booked our wedding at Cornerstone, I was not entirely thrilled that we would be required to have a 'day of' wedding coordinator. Once I spoke with Leslie on the phone, my attitude started to change. I still called the others to do my research, but Leslie knocked them all out of the park! She is calm and easy going but has strong attention to detail, and thinks of things that even the most analytical brides would miss. Leslie was with us far beyond the 'day of' duties, and we are so grateful for not just her literal help in all the stuff she did, but her calming energy that allowed us and our families to truly enjoy every moment! The planning process was flawless, she was responsive and gave good advice without stomping on your own ideas. She speaks to BOTH the bride and groom, which we learned with some, is not the case. When people came to me with questions or concerns, my response was "ask Leslie, Leslie, Leslie!!". It felt SO GOOD to let go, and truly embrace the wedding day. She checked in throughout the night but not to 'move us along' like some coordinators have been known to do, but rather to find out how we were feeling, let us know where we were at on the loose timeline, and to move along if WE we ready. I loved this. It would be so easy to get carried away in the wedding day, so the check-ins are necessary, but the way she approaches you comes off in the helpful way, not the "ok lets rush through this!". It is our wedding after all, and we were so grateful for her approach! I could seriously go on and on and on, and my parents are eternally thankful for the help and peace she brought to the entire planning process and the wedding day. Leslie was our wedding coordinator for our wedding at Cornerstone Gardens in early June, and she is an absolute life saver! We started working with her a few months before the wedding, and she made great suggestions about florists, DJs, etc., as well as where to buy little favors, place cards, etc. (By the way, etsy.com is amazing for all these little decorative touches). We decided to get married in wine country because we love it there and because we wanted an outdoor wedding, and June in wine country is generally dry. Well, not this year. About a week out, we started checking the weather, and it was not looking good. We had planned an outdoor BBQ for the rehearsal dinner... and by the Tuesday before the wedding, the weather was predicted to be 80% chance of rain. Leslie swung into action and gave us tons of contacts for indoor venues to host our 100+ person BBQ. On 3 days notice, she helped us find a great place at the Sonoma Community Center. The day of our wedding, we woke up to torrential rain. Leslie was literally the calm in the storm. She kept her cool all day, setting up in the rain, helping us when the fuse repeatedly blew at the cottage where I was getting ready, coordinating all the vendors and devising Plan B on the fly. It actually stopped raining just before our ceremony, and everything turned out amazing - we even had a double rainbow! The entire night ran perfectly, all at Leslie's direction. Despite the weather, she made it so we did not have to worry about a thing. I also appreciated her ability to bring our families to consensus on ceremony planning, etc, a key skill! With several Type A people, Leslie was again the calm in the storm and helped everyone get to a solution we all were happy with. She is really great, and I cannot recommend her enough. read more

We went from "do we really need a wedding coordinator?" to "how could we have survived without Leslie and Erica?!" Our 150 guest wedding was absolutely perfect thanks in large part to Dandelion Events. We hired them to be "day-of coordinators", but they did so much more than that. They helped us select some key vendors, and gave us invaluable insight when planning out the timeline of the day. They brought up so many details that we wouldn't have considered (and we are detail people!), and did so in a calm and fun manner. When our caterer showed some signs of disorganization and forgetfulness, Leslie swooped in to get them back on track. We can't tell you exactly what Erica did on the day of the event, because we never had to know about any of it! All we know is that we showed up, saw all of our decorations set up perfectly as directed, and had fun with our friends and family and each other. I couldn't imagine my big day without Leslie! Leslie first saved our big day when she stayed on top our ideal location that was booked out for over a year and got us right in when they had a cancelation! Because of her we were able to get married on the date we wanted at our favorite place! During the process of wedding planning Leslie always had a soft approach with suggestions, but stayed on top of every detail that needed to be dealt with. WIth her technique, I always felt well taken care of, never pressured and knew every detail would be handled. We got married at CornerStone Gardens last September and hired Leslie as our day of coordinator. Leslie has a cool and calm presence, a feeling very much appreciated during the intensity that wedding planning brings upon even the most easy going of couples. She thoughtfully brought up ideas and considerations to things I didn't even know to think of. She made sure nothing fell through the cracks and on top of it all she's a delight to be around. Like Mickey is to Rocky, Leslie was to us. Trying to navigate through the 1,000 decisions it takes to pull of a great wedding Leslie is there to bounce off ideas, and be the coach while you're out in the ring. She even helped us get our alone time by ushering us off to our suite after the ceremony. She said, 'go, go, or you'll get inundated by your guests!' She was right, I mean 120 people wanted to hug and squeeze us which we like, but we wanted 15 minutes to stare into each others eyes and grapple in the glory of what we just did. Inside our suite she had set out appetizers and two glasses of wine. She made sure we ate, took care of ourselves and kept the timeline of the afternoon humming along. These are all things you don't want your family to do or friends to be in charge of because you want them to enjoy the celebration. Like I said, she's fightin' for you in your corner. Leslie coordinated our wedding in San Francisco at the Fairmont this April and it was quite possibly the best decision we made. Leslie's even tempered demeanor, attention to detail, assertiveness and ability to think on her feet made her the absolute perfect match for us. I cannot state this more clearly: Leslie helped make our wedding day perfect. We had done a majority of the planning and logistics ahead of time, but Leslie really helped come in during the month leading up to it to help us tie up a few loose ends but most importantly, really helped us nail down our day-of timeline. She did our walkthrough with us and met with us prior to that even to learn more about us and what we wanted for our wedding day. There were many things she did without us even asking. We could not be more grateful for her services. On the day of, she was a Superwoman. Her calm, confident demeanor is exactly what we wanted in a coordinator. She was able to take initiative and communicate with us on the day of clearly. She had an incredible rapport with our DJ and made sure all our vendors worked together seamlessly. For nearly everyone, including ourselves at times, everything was completely transparent. Things just "happened". It was as good as we could have asked for, and then some. I will be honest, I was extremely skeptical of hiring a coordinator as I felt that between our own organization, and the banquet manager, our wedding day would be stress free. I've had all the same thoughts as most do when planning their wedding ("maybe we could ask a friend to do it", "There's not much to do on the day of", "we can handle it ourselves"). My husband and I were required to get a wedding planner or day-of planner for our wedding at Cornerstone Gardens due to the complexity of the venue. I now understand why, because we would have been lost without Leslie. Leslie was our day-of planner, and was helpful with coordinating all of our chosen vendors, giving a few last minute suggestions, creating the timeline, making sure parents got their boutonnieres and corsages, ushering guests from the barn to the tent in between cocktail hour and dinner, and allowed me to not stress out on our big day. It was so nice to know that all of our hard work was in good hands, since I wasn't there to do the set up, coordinate the decorations, find light bulbs to go in the lamp for the cake table, & make sure that my friends woke up in time to set up the lanterns. Don't even mention the clean up afterward... I never even thought much about that but she took care of it, and with our bridal party's help, the venue decorations were torn down rather quickly after the reception. So I'm not lying when I say that I would have been lost without Leslie. In the weeks before the wedding, when things are getting most stressful, it is nice to have someone experienced and prepared to handle the day-of coordination so that you can enjoy your wedding day and not stress the small stuff.
