I have been in this industry for more than 30 years and have never seen such poor workmanship, insane sense of self worth and condescension. REPIPE SPECIALISTS was hired to re-pipe the the plumbing and natural gas lines in a development where we own several properties. in early June, the guys working on our building managed to cross the lines and turned everybody's sinks into flame throwers. to be kind, the damage was significant and will run in the millions of dollars. a neighbor captured his crisis response on his Ring camera. because he neglected to bring any of the safety equipment required by the city of Encinitas to do the work, he tried to put out a gas fire with water from the bottle in his truck. details are sketchy since nobody wants to take responsibility and the city Encinitas still hasn't filed the fire report even though it's been nearly four months. yeah, kind of a mess. occupants of sixteen units (including four that were undamaged) were displaced after the Fire Department declared the entire building unfit for human habitation. renters and owners all had to find new places to live after their stuff was scorched and then water damaged. owners are either out rental income or are now renting somewhere else and still have to pay mortgages, homeowner's insurance, HOA fees, and property taxes. current estimates are a minimum of twelve months before the places are habitable. zero permits for the rebuild have been issued with no indication if and when that might happen. nice, right? the response from REPIPE SPECIALISTS? crickets. ps: expect this to be the next addition to my "Experiences with the Legal System" list ...

Yet, in the process of checking the work done, the inspector stepped both on air duct, leaving a gaping hole, and an old work electrical box for a hallway ceiling light, shearing the flaps and causing it to fall through the ceiling 3 weeks later. After "examining" our loft, he came down the stairs and proclaimed that everything was "fine." But, of course, everything wasn't fine. In fact, his report to the HVAC installer mentioned the damage. The damage done would have gone undetected had not a termite inspector entered our loft and immediately noticed the damaged duct. Called We Green to complain on March 18, was told that the appropriate representative was in a meeting, and have not heard back since. All this comes from a "residential energy services leader."
