They must get another court because no way I have to pay well over $200 a month to barely be able to go basketball court if your son or daughter plays basketball I would not recommend sportime until they get another court. It's not fair that people youse the basketball court for everything else besides basketball.

Nestled right in the heart of Five Towns is this gem of a fitness place. THE SKINNY: They are located above the Brachs supermarket (used to be a bowling alley back in the days) . Legacy Fitness has been open for 7 years, do not advertise and have gained clients completely by word of mouth. You wouldn't even know its there because there is only a door with no sign leading you to the gym floor. Even though they are located in the center of a lot of gyms, they have had 100% retention rate from the first day they have opened. That is unheard of. THE MUSCLE: The trainers are very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Most people go to the gym for workout classes then will come here for personal training. The owner, Christian Mendoza, specializes in post rehab workouts and getting you back on your feet but he also has a major focus on your health, not just your physical attributes. I have belonged to Gold's gym, Planet Fitness, NY sports club and Synergy and have never received the attention to detail that I get from here. The gym is always super clean. There is a room dedicated to your cardio with top of the line machines (eliptical, treadmills, etc) and a separate room focused on building your strength. There are some free weights and machines but you will have a personal trainer helping you do the exercises correctly, keep your motivation high and encourage you to do what is necessary for you to reach your goals. I walk out feeling satisfied with my success every time. Think of those P90X and Insanity videos....now imagine they are really in the room and not just on the TV. THE BMI : If you live in the neighborhood and want a quality place to workout, get your butt over to the gym. Not just any gym, Legacy Fitness. After an injury, I had stopped going to the gym and lost all motivation. I knew I needed to take action, as I was feeling very sluggish, weak, and easily worn out. However, I was very nervous to re-injure myself and wind up out of commission again. A friend recommended me to Christian Mendoza, the owner of the gym. After speaking to him and learning about his passion for helping people, personalized approach to fitness, and overcoming a serious injury himself, I knew I was in good hands. From my very first workout ( free trial) I could see the difference! Now, this is not your average gym and definitely not your average trainers, that you may find at a chain fitness center. The style of training is unique and truly individualized to a persons needs. The staff is highly skilled and experienced. I was constantly kept motivated and encouraged to push myself to do my best. Minor things, that other trainers wouldn't notice, such as slightly incorrect positioning, breathing, or muscle spasms were immediately ackowledged, helping me avoid issues. The atmosphere inside was perfect too, being a small facility with a limited amount of people ( most I have seen was 3 others) at any given time, I was never intimidated to do things. I'm so glad that I have found Legacy and would recommend it to anyone out there, especially if you may require special attention or are someone who is trying to get back into the swing of things after not being active for a while. Has it really been 2 years? It's hard to believe I've now been coming to this gym for that amount…read moreof time, and I have to admit that a lot can change in that period of time. Case and point? Prior to going to this gym, I went to another LA Fitness location that was brand spanking new. 2 years in? The place was a disaster (overcrowded, machines already in disrepair, etc). Fitness 19 is a breath of fresh air because 2 years in, this place is still in mint condition! I have to also praise the staff here. Some gyms can have unfriendly employees, but everyone at Fitness 19 is so pleasant to interact with. Although I don't attend the classes, my wife does, and she finds the instructors to be exceptionally friendly. I have another friend who enjoys working with his personal trainer, and I always find the folks at the main counter to be very welcoming. The equipment here is still in good shape 2 years later. There have been a few machines that have aged, but those machines have already been replaced or updated. They have also added new equipment, including kettle bells, thanks to some customer feedback, and there's always somebody walking around to keep the place clean. Of course, the other thing that helps is to have a courteous gym community, and I find the members generally keep this place in good shape (returning equipment after use to the proper place, wiping down equipment with wipes after use, etc). My main reason for the 4-star review instead of 5 stars is mostly because of the lack of bathroom amenities. What would really make this place a 5-star location would be to add cloth towels (I realize it's an added expense in time and labor to wash and replace those, though) or some other bathroom amenities. The place has lockers and showers, but otherwise it's pretty bare bones (soap + water + dryers). Still, for the low monthly cost of membership (the lowest I've ever seen), the value here is incredible. I love this gym!

Saw an ad on Instagram about Daddy & Me lessons for swimming, and we couldn't pass up the chance…read more We ended up taking our 3 month old to Rafe & Co Sports Club in Bellmore and were definitely not disappointed. The level of care and professionalism far exceeded my expectations, and we can't wait to continue our swim lessons. Getting our son comfortable with the water is high priority for us, and Rafe & Co was able to help us achieve that. Thanks to Joey and team!
