Bailed out after that one miserable night; owner verbally agreed to refund us for all three nights of the reservation - which would have been the appropriate thing to do - and later recanted / changed his refund offer several times. In an email, blamed the DirecTV problem on "surgery issues." I know, I know...whaaaaaa...??? Suggested it was our fault the heat pump failed. Threatened to refund us NOTHING AT ALL unless we promised not to 'slander' him online. In a desperate attempt at gaining leverage in our dispute, accused us of damaging his pool table and suggested he was doing us a big favor by not making us pay for it. Truth is: we didn't touch his stinking pool table. We're all professional, responsible, educated adults. It never happened. At the end of the day, this owner never refunded my group anything at all. Had to seek remedy through credit card issuing bank. This owner flat-out did nothing to ensure the house was ready to receive paying occupants, and miserably failed at every opportunity he was presented with after the fact to make things right. MISERABLY failed. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property owner.

The person who responded didn't answer my questions, but asked what website I was looking at. I told them and was told NOT to use them because they charge additional fees. I was told if I use the mountaintop condos website, I will not be charged additional fees. I checked out the website and the price was more than double with additional fees from the mountaintop condos website. I pointed that out, said I would be using the deal I got and asked my questions again. Again, my questions were ignored and the person told me those fees are normal and again, not to use the deal I got. I asked again, pointed out it was the third time I'd asked and asked them not to lie to me just to make a sale. The responder told me they don't need the sale. That was the last I heard from them.

You ski right out your door. You swim in an indoor outdoor pool. And if your thirsty, there is a bar/restaurant on the slopes and inside the resort. All the comforts away from home. Each Individual unit is owned and decorated by its owner. So some are going to be more updated than others. We stayed in 5313 and had a fabulous time. This is not an upscale resort. But it is very homey. If you are a long time silver creek lover, you will love that everything has stayed the same. Why the resort gets 3 stars. The restaurant is closed, but you can grab a quick bite in the lounge. The pool is open for 3 different sessions in the evening and you are allowed to go one time and must register. However it is Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday's. Actually most everything at Silver Creek is CLOSED on Tuesday and Wednesdays. What a let down!! . We are at the end of the season, so whatever snow ice they have,, thats all. They stopped making snow in February. Still we look forward to coming back and not waiting another 30 years

The floors were littered with refuse and stains. Everything had the dingy look of a mid-seventies relic. This appeared to be a place where parents with large families check in to allow their children to roam far and wide - we heard them all late into the night! In the lobby were two stores that appeared to offer second hand items and an assortment of odds and ends more akin to a yard sale that a resort. No breakfast available of any sort. No place to get coffee. When asked for options, I was referred to the re-purposed school bus that served as a shuttle to the main facility every thirty minutes.

Experienced snow tubing and snowboarding for the first time during my visit to Snowshoe Mountain. I…read moredidn't stay on the actual resort, we had got an air bnb about 20 mins away. While on the resort though, I did like how the lodging looked. If I were to go back I definitely would instead just go ahead and stay on the mountain resort because driving through the woods / mountain to get to and from the resort to the air bnb was not fun at all; especially at night! Snow tubing: we went snow tubing during the night time. There weren't too many other people there during this time, so the line to keep tubing over and over wasn't much of a wait at all. I give the experience a 10/10 overall. It was fun and different. Snowboarding: when we first got into all our gear and equipment, we were just told to go outside. We were all under the impression that we would receive a tutorial or instructional presentation about first time snowboarding, but that did NOT happen. Had entirely no clue there was even a "practice" area until after I slipped and fell on the ice and my snowboard went flying down the mountain and into the woods. I went and got help from the emergency team who then informed us that there was a practice area to go to first. I ended up staying in that practice area the whole time and completely wasted my money on having a ski lift ticket. I thought a practice area would've been at the bottom of the mountain where we'd start at, so the ski lift ticket would be needed once you're comfortable and can go ski/snowboard from the very top but no, u start at (like get on the actual slope at) and the practice area are both mid - mountain. Overall the experience was a 7/10. It's possible I'll give Snowshoe another try in the future now that I've experienced what it's like. My overall rate of experience : 7/10

I can not stress how amazing Hutch 8 is at Snowshoe. The kitchen has been recently renovated with…read morestainless steel appliances and everything is so convenient. It is definitely an amazing place to take your family. The green and blue slopes are within a short walk and so is the village. You can ski into the back door a short distance. If you are better at the slopes, you can ski right out that door down a black diamond. When you are done skiing, the mud room comes convenient with air driers for your boots and gloves. You have plenty of hooks to hang your ski gear and shelves to store snowboards and skiis. The beds are very comfortable and there owners provide games and a dvd's to watch to relax after a day on the slopes. It is a beautiful set up and amazing place to stay. I highly recommend this place. There is a porch to hang out on and two bathrooms, one for the master and one for the other two bedrooms to use. The master bathroom has a jetted tub and the other bathroom has a very nice walk in shower. This is truly an amazing place to stay and well worth the money! Take your family and enjoy the best time of your life.

My kids scouted just about every trail on the Mountain and kept coming back to Shays Revenge and Cupp Run as their favorites. Both runs start right out the back door from Hutch 8. We could watch the kids arrive on the lift and then either start their run or come in the back door for some hot chocolate. The owner Jeff is very involved and helpful and answered every question from my original inquiry to trip end. The property has everything you would need from a fully equipped Mud Room with ski racks, boot dryers etc. The kitchen has everything you would need to feed your crew and was the cleanest of any property I have rented. Big screen TV, DVD player and a library of DVD's and books to read. Centrally located, we parked on day one and walked to the main Resort Village for shops and restaurants. My grandson had an equipment malfunction on day one with a broken boot. Drove down the Mountain to the Ski Barn which was recommended by Jeff. New boot selected, fitted and binding adjustment and back on the slopes in less than 45 minutes. This is the only time we drove our car in five days. If you want ski on ski off, this is the best location on the mountain.

I would call in advance if you plan on staying anytime soon to ensure your stay is worthwhile. We were still able to use the Snowshoe resort activities. Bring food with you! All of the restaurants at Snowshoe are currently takeout ONLY--you must wait outside for your food and with minimal staff wait times are hours. Silver Creek was the only place we were able to sit inside and eat/wait for takeout inside. The front desk receptionist at Corduroy Inn, Teresa, was extremely helpful. She was kind, professional and genuine... we would not have made it through the weekend without her! Thank you so much Teresa! I will also say that the Corduroy Inn was the nicest lodging we saw on the mountain... we ventured inside a few of the hotels looking for food and noticed that none of them were as well constructed, clean or beautiful as Corduroy Inn. The rooms are exquisite and amenities (espresso machine, heated flooring, washer/dryer access) were extremely appreciated. Lacking was luggage carts... that would have helped with all our gear. I would stay here above anywhere else on the mountain though considering these things !

The front staff were so friendly and welcoming! When I went to grab coffee in the morning they would always chat with us and gave great recommendations for places go explore and eat around the area. We stayed at the Inn and the room was clean, well kept. The parking underneath was a lifesaver the day we left, as it was pouring rain outside! The views of the sunsets from the Inn were stunning and unforgettable! We enjoyed every moment of our stay and definitely plan to make another trip back in the off season to hike and explore more of the area! Being a radio quiet zone allowed us to put our phones down and enjoy a much needed vacation away from the world! Thanks for making out trip so great!
