I had an emergency and called SOS to see how quickly they could come. I was told on the phone that it was doubtful they could come that day. As such I told SOS I was going to try and find someone to come by ASAP. I was able to get another company to come by that day, so I scheduled the other company. Right after getting off the phone with the other company SOS called back and said they could come that day. I find that to be great customer service that they would call me back saying they could make room for my problem. SOS is to be commended for their communications with customers. This trait is lacking with many companies I deal with in the Austin area. read more

We changed to Snowden Onsite Septic due to the unreliability of previous companies we had used in the past. GREAT DECISION! We have used Snowden now for several years and the team is great all the way from the technicians in the field to Denise in the office. Denise is very prompt in returning my emails and phone calls and is always pleasant to speak with over the phone. We recently had new risers and a disc filter installed and Nathan was terrific! I have dealt with Nathan several times in the past for service calls at my home and he is always super friendly and takes the time to explain everything to me. Buyer beware!! The staff who came out to do the work were great, but the finished product was not good. They left my yard a total mess. Broke the irrigation system then blamed me for not watering the grass enough. Also, their contract stated they would replace a stone walkway. They did not. They claimed they couldn't because it crossed the septic field. Ok, I get it regulations, but live up to your contract, ie., partial refund, reroute the walkway, etc.. Additionally, they left large divots and holes in the yard. In calling them to resolve (office staff is not customer oriented) they were argumentative (I'm being nice), in emailing the owner, I got the same attitude- "your problem, not mine." After many attempts to resolve, I could tell nothing was going to happen so I told them to leave and I would restore my yard on my own. There must be a better provider out there. After reading the reviews, I'm certain the owner will post some BS about how my experience isn't his company's fault. DONT BELIEVE IT. read more

I arranged a service call when our pump failed for our septic system; I called Snowden Onsite Septic. I have driven past their office every day for 28 years (I guess we got a really lucky with the first pump!). So, when I was informed that the prior firm who had maintained our system no longer provided this service...I called SOS. I'm glad I did. I spoke with Denise, and she immediately arranged an onsite visit (by "immediate" I mean "we can come out NOW.") Also, I did not have to be present, which was great given my typical schedule. I explained what needed to be done (pump out, evaluate pump, etc.) She said her team would take care of it. And they did. I arrived home a few hours later -- tanks had been pumped and the new pump (Denise had called in the interim and I had authorized replacement) was being installed. It was done that afternoon. As a result, I also purchased an annual maintenance contract: as a homeowner I try to do my part in keeping things running, but ... for a very reasonable fee Snowden Onsite Septic will now inspect annually and recommend service as needed. Done. I highly recommend Snowden Onsite Septic for septic service. And, to be sure, I now understand why after 28 years they are still in business! read more

I was starting to have a crappy situation develop with my septic system and called SOS. With a few months left on the contract paid for by previous owner they said they could be out early next week at no charge. While I was hoping for immediate service that day, it was not a emergency and they were already booked. My dog started barking this morning (Saturday) to alert me the SOS rep was working on our system! He was in and out and fixed a small leak all covered under the contract! Very happy and very impressed they came out on a weekend since they are closed on weekends. I recommend this company. read more

From the moment I called last week, I have received exceptional service from this company. The gentleman who answered the phone was very kind and knowledgeable. He did everything in his power to try and get someone out the same day, but unfortunately could not wich is not their fault. He did get someone to come at ASAP though. This is our first time dealing with a septic tank so when our alarm went off we were pretty panicked. Nathan came out and found something wrong with our compressor unfortunately. Luckily, he had the part in his van, and in an hour he had it repaired. We also did not know that we are supposed to have a maintenance plan for our septic. He told us our options, and we are excited to call them back and get on their maintenance plan. I am very relieved to have found such a great company! I highly recommend this company. read more

Had Snowden Septic come out for a site review (new business contract), and potentially sign a contract. They brought a contract out to sign, and I turned them down. They tried to claim that I had accepted the contract and tried to bill me for the trip effort. They were very aggressive and nasty in the pursuit of a septic contract. We spent a lot of money on a water softener and filtration system for our new house. It was working great and we were very happy and felt it was money well spent. After about a year, my husband attempted to change the medium in the filter and it didn't go well. Our softener became clogged and we were having all kinds of problems as a result. We called Jeff Snowden and he came out and fixed it - or so we thought. After a few days it was very obvious that it was not fixed. We called numerous times letting him know we were still having problems. He would give some advice on what to do and we would try it with no luck. After a while, he didn't even bother to return our many phone calls asking for help. We eventually called Culligan. They were fantastic and had our water softener fixed in two days. Two days. We dealt with Snowden for 9 months. It was not his fault our water softener wasn't working - that was our fault - but if he wasn't able to fix it then he should have told us instead of ignoring us.
