SPECTACULARLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! The septic tank was right in the area I told them it was. Three different guys couldn't find it. They insist that they have to uninstall the toilet to be able to find the septic system. It wasnt till AFTER they uninstalled the toilet ,and found the septic right where I said it was, that the mention THEY COULDN'T REINSTALL THE TOILET BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE THE PARTS! And then, they get angry with ME because I said I should have been told that it couldn't be reinstalled without parts and a plumber to do the work!!!! This is an on-going issue. My realtor and the seller of the home I purchased organized having the septic system pumped out. Austin Rooter came out and spent a long time trying to find the ports to enter the tank. I felt bad as the prior owner had no knowledge and never once in 20 years had pumped the system out. Austin Rooter was persistent and found it and got the job done! I own couple restaurants in Austin and I have worked with many companies throughout those years. I do not recommend this company at all. Please advise, even if another company charges you more it is worthy hiring this more expensive company. We were referred to Austin Rooter by our local septic specialist. We simply wanted a routine pump-out, but were surprised how responsive they were. I left a message late one afternoon and got a call back immediately from Debbie (who was wonderful!) even though she was out of the office to let me know they got my call and to get things going. Their scheduling system works nicely and our technician, Luke, showed up on time, was quick and went out of his way to answer questions and suggest ways to keep things running smoothly for years to come. Austin Rooter service not good. I have to called asking them the price before they come to septic service. But the tank #3 & #4 he pump out the tank still have 1/3 and he leave. My husband have to called asking him why he do still have on tank 3 & 4. Austin Rooter not service good and they charged $150.00 more when I asking them the price. Debbie told me small tank $475 and big tank $575. But they charged me total $725.00 I have email them 2 time but not responding back, now I calling ask again then lady answers phone she service with customer very bad is hand off the phone. read more

Still waiting to resolve a bill we should not have been charged. We have been told they are putting a lien on our house. I have sent proof of all communication requesting a bid to repair which they never did. We were charged for a service we did not approve and they are blaming us for having two accounts open. Austin Rooter has my vote every time I have septic needs. Debbie has been a pleasure to work with and is very courteous and friendly. They sent emails and/or texts to let me know when they were coming and that they had completed the job when it was done. First time residential customer in Oct 2017. Routine maintenance. Referred by a neighbor. Justin responded promptly to my request on Home Advisor, answered my questions and scheduled the next day. Bryan was on-time, friendly, professional and thorough. Explained the process; tested the float, pump and alarm; and discovered a second access port to tank #1 of the Low Pressure Dosed system. Pumping took 45-minutes. Cost was reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

I had an issue late at night our septic was clocked and the tub wouldn't drain. I called 3 other places and couldn't get anyone on the phone and I still have not received a call back from the messages I left. I called Austin Rooter last and Charlie answered right away advised me on what to do immediately to fix things for the night and to see if they in fact needed to come out. He then had me call Debbie after 3 calls with him and she also picked up on the first try. She was extremely polite, helpful and scheduled Luke to come out the next day. He ended up having an issue at another house and they rescheduled immediately for the next morning. I received great communication from everyone, text verification of time, price, and then a call from Luke. Compared to the other 3 companies I am still waiting to hear from, these guys are awesome. Nothing stresses me out more than septic issues. I called Austin Rooter in the morning to pump out the tank; Justin said they would be out late afternoon. The alarm went off on our septic system on a Friday before the July 4th holiday weekend (which was Tuesday). Austin Rooter came out promptly and said the system needed pumping and that the 3 year old septic system pump was burned up. They didn't call me until Wednesday morning after the holiday to schedule the pumping. I was told they would come Thursday morning, but with my tenants ( a family of 8) returning Wednesday evening, I asked for them to come that day and was scheduled for 1:00 to 3:00. I said I needed to talk with the person that examined the pump because I was skeptical that the pump was bad. I had to rush out there at 12:15 to talk with another person who was looking at the pump, as I wasn't given any notice. They stuck to their story that the pump was bad, and gave me a high price of $1,100 to replace it. I got a second opinion from the person who installed it who within a minute found a piece of hard plastic that was jamming the pump, and it began to work with no problem. The second company gave me a price of $650 to replace it if needed. Bottom Line: I would NOT recommend you let this company replace your septic pump without a second opinion and estimate. read more
