Reminded him by text 4 days in advance and he again assured me they would be ready. Day of, at noon, I went to pick up the skis and they were not ready, but he said if I came back at 5p (just before my flight) he would be done. Went back at 5p and they were not done. After swearing at me that he had too many f**ing tasks to do and too many customers so it wasn't his fault he said he could finish the tune while I waited for 10min and charged me full price. When I brought my skis in days later to adjust the bindings I was informed by a the new shop that "the skis have not been touched at all, the edges are so dull I can safely run my finger with pressure, there are 4-5 core shots needing repair for safety reasons, there is no basework, no grinding, and no wax." This shop charged half of Snow Hut and did a professional job and a full tune that you can see and feel. I have called my credit card company to revoke the charge since no work was done on the skis.

We had a gal help us in helmets and found us a good one for my little brother that he could grow into as well. I went in earlier this week to try on some boots and to get feedback on a pair I had to buy online. The gentleman helping me was amazing and super helpful in letting me know the ones I got were not suitable for my calf type and helped me find a very comfortable new ski boot. I'm an intermediate rider whose put on quite a bit of weight the last two season. I just bought my…read moresecond Never Summer plank. It's 2cm longer than the first and a touch stiffer. When I received it, although it's a beaut, I was concerned I had made an error since my riding style favors a slightly smaller board than I "should" ride and this would be the longest one I've ever owned. I sent them a chat at 6:30 their time on the Saturday night before New Years. I had a live person within 10 minutes, and they contacted the marketing director. A few questions and they confirmed that I should be fine, why the new board was a good fit, and assuaged any concerns that I had about the returning it for the next size down (which they were happy to do) I had three of the best seasons ever on my first Never Summer, and am stoked to add a new one to the quiver. Taking it out in a couple of weeks and can't wait. I have a couple of other stories about how they consolidated gear orders and refunded shipping without any fuss, the socks they sent me w/o charge in one of my orders, stickers galore, etc.

The kindness of people will never cease to amaze me. We didn't get the bag back, but our son's story made it to the store manager of the Brighton Dick's Sporting Goods. Alicia reached out to us and generously offered to help us replace some of the things that were lost. She was able to locate the same glove and helmet he had and gave him a new bat and new batting gloves as well! She also provided us with a discount to purchase the remaining things that needed to be replaced. I cannot tell you what this means to our family. What an AMAZING blessing!!
