Snow and crab is a great seafood boil restaurant in the Temecula area. Me and my cousin were craving for the ragin' Cajun flavors and decided on this joint. Now I have been here years ago when it first opened and wanted to see if there was any improvement. We decided on a pound of shrimp, a pound of mussels and Cajun fries. The Cajun fries had a batter to them and although it was cooked thoroughly, they still had an uncooked feel to them which was kind of strange and I'm going to attribute that to the breading on the outside. We decided on mixing all the sauces/flavors together to get a "house" sauce. The shrimp and mussels were cooked perfectly and the sauce was good. It tastes somewhat similar to a barbecue sauce which wasn't to my liking. The service was great and the people were very friendly. If you are craving for a seafood boil and want to eat it somewhere reasonably price then I would recommend eating here. read more

I thought my food was just OK a little on the bland side, I gave them a 5 out of 10 on the food but Service was on top and they were all very friendly. This is my friend's favorite seafood spot. We went to grab a late lunch before she leaves for her boot camp. It's been a while since the last time I had seafood. I'm excited and ordered 2Lbs headless shrimp scampi with rice, for myself. The couple ordered 2Lbs of the crab legs and 1Lb of headless shrimp, for them to share. We also ordered a bottle of their homemade Sangria, if I wasn't driving, could have ordered another bottle. Hahaha!!! Service was excellent. The owner is very warm and welcoming. My sister and I dined here a few nights ago and initially, everything was good. We both had shrimp boil bags with lobster tails and potatoes. Again everything was good as we ate, but later that night we both woke up with excruciating stomach pains , both of us had threw up all the food we ate and had to basically spend the night in the bathroom. We were sick the whole next day and is now barely feeling better three days later. I'm not sure if it was the shrimp or the lobster but either way, it's pretty unfortunate to spend around 80 to just throw it up. This is my second time at this specific location, first time the service was not great and food didn't make us throw up but it wasn't that flavorful. I was sent here to get some garlic noodles but it was also hot so I got some shaved ice for myself and when I checked in, I got a free 16 oz. drink too, so of course I had to get a drink as well. The place was empty when I went in but the service was nice and friendly. The garlic noodles were good and I got the strawberry shaved ice, which had strawberries, strawberries mochi, and condensed milk. I thought it was good but I think it would have been nice if they had a bit of syrup in there. I also got the strawberry lemonade tea and that was really good. Honestly the worst crab we've had in San Diego... the crab was over cooked and mushy on the inside... the sauce was like a sweet bbq taste when I asked for something similar to old bay garlic butter. Had to wash off all the sauce and make my own when we tried it and got home, it was disgusting . Also got the garlic bread and threw it out. Waste of $60 bucks. I'm a huge Boiling Crab fan and, although it doesn't taste like it, it was still flavorful. I like my seafood boil spicy but because it was my first time trying Snow and Crab I went with spice level Medium so next time I'm definitely getting Extra Spicy because Medium had no spice. I got Cajun fries and they weren't seasoned as much as I'd like them to be but that's just preference. I paid $28 for half a pound of jumbo shrimp, potatoes, sausage, side of rice and fries which seems reasonable. Overall, it was tasty! read more

So I am going to try to be as reasonable as possible understanding alot of places are impacted by Covid. I failed to look at the reviews prior to going because of my craving and i now GREATLY regret it. Bejind all of the extremely generous 5, 4, 3, and 2 star ratings lies this restaurant's highest potential. So lets start with the ants, I get it, alot of restaurants want outdoor seating to continue to make money, but having to smack my leg every 2 minutes still isn't as bad as the over cooked over priced frozen lobster they served me. Mind you, I really am trying to be nice, so ill move on to the soggy shrimp that was freshly brought out to us ( ill explain why later). The shrimp was disgusting, I am nauseous thinking about it, and yes ive already vomited fyi. So now the crawfish... which was so bad that we had to seperate it from the rest of the bag, it was obviously frozen but may have sat in the freezer for a week or soo longer than its expiration. This is the only item we complained about and guess what... the waiter told us that we were wrong and that no one complained about it prior to us. So I just reminded him that, compared to crab pub, or boiling crab, ive never sent a dish back so I think I can twll when brown crawfish with a sour taste isn't edible... but hey dont worry about it, chalk this one to the game. He obliged with a replacement pound of soggy shrimp which is about the only positive thing i have to say about this place honestly. Ok on to better news, the king crab legs that they gave us with no tools to open them weren't totally disgusting, but again who charges market price for frozen king crab??? Moving on The sauce... well if a cup of butter, garlic salt and sugar can describe it, there you go Lastly, the straw that broke.... you get it Customer service- so our waiter came to our table to set our food, and a different waiter came about 25 minutes later to ask if we were ok. Our water (in an 8 oz cup) was never refilled. (Also insert the conversation about the old crawfish) Overall with respect to the hard work and livelyhood of the employees here I sincerely wish that this place turns around, because they are close to where we live and we would rather not have to drive to San Diego. But overall in every catagory that I care about, this place misses the mark tremendously. It was so horrible that I honestly believe that 1 star is the greagest compliment I could give. I would love to be proved wrong by this place, but evem the french fries taste like they were cooked yesterday. Definitely was hesitant to try it out since it's a lot of different flavors mixed into one but it was definitely good! It's definitely not kicking crab or boiling crab but it's good for the area. They have boba drinks, beignets and shave ice which makes this place stand out a bit more. They also have a few mixed drinks that i didn't get to try. The staff was very attentive and the ambience isn't as busy as it would be if you went to boiling crab. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THEIR PASSION FRUIT TEA. It has so much flavor and not too sweet. Some things that disappointed me: When i went in they said they discontinued the yelp check in discount because some regulars ruined that advantage :( The proportions are small. We ordered a two pound and then added another pound to it. The pound seemed way smaller than you would get at kicking crab. The size of the mussels were very small!!!! Seemed like a low budget Spanish rice knock off.. And it wasn't cajun. Lastly, I had the garlic edamame.. Here I was thinking you can't go wrong with edamame... Wrong..
