Did not buy shoes but was very happy with customer service. There was one person working at the…read morestore, and he was happy to bring me pair after pair of booties, trying to find something that would fit my wide feet. I found that the made in France Mephisto shoes with natural rubber soles were quite comfortable, but my feet were just a little bit too wide for them and were hanging over the sole on the side. I have been in a lot of shoe stores lately and I really appreciated that he didn't want to argue with me about what my foot did - or didn't - need! He was very nice about "this one might work, try it and we will see." These are very high quality shoes, made to be kept for a long time and resoled. I hadn't tried on this brand before and I felt like there were stylish options (platform combat boots, black booties, etc) in addition to the more sensible options. These shoes are expensive but intended for folks that will keep them for a long time. It was an entirely pleasant experience even if I didn't buy shoes.

They totally missed the originally promised date of getting it done in two weeks. When they finally said it's done. I came to the shop, examined the skis and questioned if any work was done since there is no signs of binding remounted on the skis. The person manning the front desk (refused to give a name when asked) said confidently the work is done and made up reasons for why I can't see it. I fortunately had a picture from last winter showing exactly the positions of the binding. (Attached as Old). When compared with the pic taken at the shop (attached as New), it clearly showed no work was done to move it back. No apologies was provided by the front desk young man. I asked the man to write down a note for the technician since so much miscommunications have happened. He initially refused. When I asked to speak with the manager. He also refused. When I asked "Erik", another staff to help, this man told him to stop as well. Skiing is a high risk sport, and ski bindings are one of the most important part in keeping the gear safe to users. Their technician should get their certification/license canceled and this shop should be barred from working on technical sports gear in order to prevent blatant mistakes like this to happen again. Based on the reaction of the staff and lack of admission of their fault, I don't see any hope they can or want to correct their actions and keep their customers safe. The same report is made to the Better Business Bureau.

Sophie basically performed a full-binding exorcism on my indecision. I walked in mumbling something like "uhh I ride kinda switch and sometimes hit side hits but also like buttering around," and within five minutes she had narrowed my choices from "all of them" to "these exact three that I won't hate by February." Her product knowledge is scarily good like if bindings had a trivia night, Sophie would win a free lifetime supply and then give half away because she's just that nice. I walked out with premium bindings for less than the "discount" price I was about to pay online (before shipping, tax, and the inevitable regret). 10/10, five stars, two thumbs up, would let Sophie pick my bindings again in a heartbeat. The man who assisted me - the younger of the two working - grabbed the boots and started taking my info. When I innocently asked if I could pick them up the next day I was met with snarkiness and sarcasm. "No, because we aren't open tomorrow and stretching takes a lot longer than that." When I asked for clarification on the process/timing he snidely said "It depends, so no, you won't have them in time for the rodeo. 1) I never mentioned a rodeo, and to assume that's the only occasion/event that warrants a new pair of boots is both ignorant and ridiculous 2) If you're not open on Saturdays it would be wise to update your hours of operation listed on Google - where it states you're open from 9:00 - 5:00 3) If you're at the point you hate your job/profession that much it's time for you to move on because, while people will pay for your services, I - and those like me - won't tolerate your misdirected frustration with life I left and went to Andre's, and my boots will be ready tomorrow. They have a really good selection of cowboy hats and found that every style had a different feel and sizing to it as the hats tended to be oval and her head round. Ultimately, she found a Rodeo King felt hat that fit good and she bought it. They also have a good selection of Wrangler jeans here so my advice is if you're looking for a hat or jeans you'll most likely come away with something. On the other hand I wasn't impressed with the cowboy boot selection as I only look at leather soled boots and found most of their boots were rubber soled. The service was good and had no issues with getting customer service and help picking out many different hats that were hanging from the wall where it was just out of reach unless you had a stick to help.
