Foxtail ale
Ida J.

Our order: rack of ribs, shepherds pie, fox burger, fries & foxtail ale. The meat literally fell off the bones, no knife needed. Smothered in their tangy in-house BBQ sauce, this was a crowd pleaser. Shepherd's pie was extremely soft and creamy, and it was gentle to the taste buds and stomach. I enjoyed the specially brewed ale, not too hoppy and paired great with the spread. Not a fan of the fries, they could have used more crisp. Portions were huge, like Texas huge. Dark ambiance, booth and bar seating available, and decent service. Long list of beers on tap.

Kids nachos. Just plain.

It was a lovely sunny day so we sat on the rooftop deck where we had a shaded table. Quite a busy spot with some people opting for full sun seats. I don't envy the servers having to carry all the plates up the stairs. Food was good and portions were large, with a good variety of offerings including sandwiches and salads, burgers and fries, breakfast until 2 on weekends. Kids get crayons and a big placement to keep them busy instead of staring at a device. Looks like a fun pub, with lots of tables downstairs and a good selection of alcoholic beverages. Right in the heart of town.

Ribs with "snooty sauce."

I stayed at the Delta hotel for a few days and was able to access this restaurant easily through…read morethe hotel. I tried a few dishes that I was very happy with, and one that was mediocre. I had a chef's salad with salmon. The salmon was some of the best I've ever had (salmon is also a favorite of mine so I've had quite a bit). It was salty with a beautiful glaze on the top, I would order it again in a heartbeat. I had a bit of the burnt end poutine as well. I wasn't crazy about it but it was still very tasty. The gravy that came with it was delicious. The only dish I had that I considered mediocre was the salmon burger. Like I said before, I really like salmon and this burger didn't seem to do the flavors justice. It felt muffled by the bun and other toppings. To finish it off I also ordered the blueberry lemon cheese cake and the chocolate cake. Both of which were delicious! The chocolate cake came with some strawberries on the side that added a nice freshness to the dessert. The cake itself was a bit dry, but tasty nonetheless. The cheesecake was absolutely delicious and was my preferred desert. Topped with a healthy pile of blueberries, in a delicious syrup. It looked and tasted delicious (and was quite a large slice). The service we had was also great. Our waiter came to check on us throughout our meals and gave us some recommendations which I found very helpful.
