Just stopped in on my way back home, haven't been there in a while, but the shakes are just as I remember them. Yum peanut butter shake and fries... they have a lot of other items that look amazing. The people behind the counter are fairly nice, quick and efficient. The dining area, bathroom, parking lot and surrounding areas are clean and tidy. I just like the simplicity of the place, basic burgers with veg and of course, the best pastrami in town! Which I am told is very good although I haven't had it myself. It's a burger joint, so it really can't be compared with a five-star, sit-down restaurant with impecable food, setting, staff and cleanliness, but in its class, it earns a solid 4 from me. 5 for service thanks to the manager who greeted me so warmly, connected, was thoughtful about educating me, a first timer, about the menu, and pre-emptively anticipated all my potential needs from fry dipping options to refill. 3 for the burger and fries, both served wonderfully hot and fresh, but otherwise unremarkable. The place was bright and relatively clean for a fast food joint. Plenty of parking in lot with street parking also available for overflow. Really, it was the manager who earned the kudos that will get me back here to try another menu item next time I'm in town. read more

Food options are pretty limited in Taft, but burger joints are a plenty. We ordered a single corndog (maybe $2) and a #2 ($8.05 for a small) which a double cheeseburger combo. The burger was delicious - it's topped with American cheese, pickles, and from what I can recall, lettuce and maybe tomatoes. The burger patties had a nice chargrilled taste which complemented whatever saucy-sauce was on the burger. Super good and super cheap. Corndog is a hard pass - too tough on the cornmeal exterior. No thanks. I honestly think all the burger joints are owned by the same person because all of the menus are virtually the same and have the same blue backdrop - pick your poison. read more

Sno-White is a Taft staple. It's the most unhealthy food you've ever eaten, but it takes you back to the good ol days. Today I got the corn dog combo with a vanilla Dr.Pepper - that's right, a vanilla one! So good! It's the only time I get a soda because I can customize it. The corn was good but could have been cooked just a little bit longer. Had a little off taste (maybe it with the oil??), but I'm not expecting too much when I go to Sno-White. I do love their burgers! If you're ever in Taft, jump on over to Sno-White, especially in the summer time! That's the best time to get a soda! read more

New employees at Snow White are extremely rude. Rush you to order then charge you for the wrong items because they are in a rush. We ordered 3 small Sierra mists and they gave us 3 small fries on top of all the other fries we already order so they just went to waste. We have been coming here all the time but the new employees are just plain rude when in a rush. Also why isn't dipping sauce provided with the chicken nugget meals, all of a sudden you have to pay for every one even just 2 sauces with 2 12 piece chicken nugget meals.. horrible service tonight! read more

My family came out to Taft to visit me during lunch. Most of the places we went were closed due to the holiday and this is where we ended up eating at for lunch. Here is what I liked: 1. The place was clean and well kept. 2. For a fast food restaurant, the food was of a higher quality than most restaurant chains. The food came out hot, fresh, and was enjoyable to eat. Here is what bugged me about the visit: 1. The people serving were nice enough, but I felt that I was an inconvenience to them. When I asked for a to go bag for our food, I was given the smallest bag possible (think smaller than a brown paper bag for a kid's lunch at school). When I explained I needed something bigger to fit all the leftovers, I was given a bag just slightly larger. After a third attempt to get a larger bag, I got one that fit the food. A small criticism, but it would have been a better experience if they had asked what sized bag I wanted to begin with rather than the back and forth. read more

Went to this Drive in to get and ice cream in a cup waited 15 minutes for the machine to make the ice cream in the meantime my other was melting they handed me the ice cream and on top it was ok but they'd put pure liquid in the bottom it ran all over me was so mad will never go back read more

This is a regular stop when traveling thru Taft. There aren't many hamburger places like this left in Bakersfield anymore so I get my fix when I can. The avocado burger and fried zucchini are a must. Place is spacious and clean. But I went there to just grab a soda they were slightly busy but waiting 15 minutes for just a soda was ridiculous. Waited 10 minutes in line and the worker didnt seem to care about efficiency or anything. Finally after I placed my order for a soda I had to wait an additional 5 minutes just to get it. When I asked what was taking so long she just shrugged and said they were busy. I really want to like this place but that lack of efficiency and worker's not caring makes it hard. read more

It's just eh. The Pepsi tastes like Pepsi. So that's a good thing. My girlfriend loves the corn dogs, even though she throws the hotdogs to the dogs. The nachos has chili in it?!?! Weird as hell. But it's Taft. Only place better in Taft is Asian Experience. read more

My girlfriend and I were stopping in Taft to grab something to eat. Went and asked a local what was good and we were redirected to Sno-white. Now there were a few problems when going there but still would rate the restaurant 5 stars because of customer service. Went in and had an issue with trying to use $10 cash the. Covering the rest by card. It got figured out after a short wait but the employee was very sweet about it. Then, after a weird tasting Pepsi, I went and did the awkward question of requesting another drink after having my card/cash payment. On top of that, the extra cheese that my girlfriend ordered wasn't on her sandwich. We asked for the cheese... And the employee came out with it and smiled. Either she hated us or she was just that sincere. Either way, customer service was great. Now...for the food. It was good. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich, and it was very juicy and it has good flavor. I had the western bacon burger and it tastes great. The fries were also tasty. Now there were some weird hiccups but handled well and food was good. read more
