In a nutshell, indescribable would be easy to say, but also the immediate feeling right after the session. I can breathe a bit better if not easier, weight on my shoulders feels lighter. No work on Holidays. So you end up working 30 hours a week on average, busting your chops for such a low wage. You are better off working at a 7-11. Unless they promise you something good. BEWARE. Your first check comes in late. They say they pay on Fridays but you always get your direct deposit in the middle of the week, if they are mailing you checks you get it next week Friday or the week after.

Altres made my experience as a first time mother extremely stressful. I went over two months…read morewithout pay because they dragged their feet processing my TDI claim. They asked Pacific Guardian Life to violate HIPAA rights and share my doctors portion of the TDI claim to which PGL cc'd me onto the email showing they had asked for that. They refused to file their portion of the claim online like my doctor and myself had submitted (the recommended way). So I reluctantly agreed to share my doctors portion of my TDI claim to which they then lost when it was faxed to them. I then went another two weeks waiting for an update, only to find out from PGL that they were waiting for a correction to be made on Altres behalf. PGL said I qualified for 100% financial compensation of my pay but Altres said I only qualified for 50%. When I asked when the request was made, I was told they had emailed them on a Wednesday, it was Monday when I found that out. Then when I called Altres they said they had JUST received the email that morning. How convenient... The benefit specialist I dealt with was Alicia Tanouye. Altres should be ashamed for trying to get one by on a vulnerable first time mom. Having me go over two months without pay is just shameful and to try to undercut a full time employee.
