I actually liked this employment agency better than one of the competitors on the same street because they were helpful and were able to update my resume to reflect my current status of continuing education and looking for a temporary summer job. Their skills assessment tests are straight forward and can be taken anywhere online. I was able to get an offer that fitted into my availability schedule, but I turned it town due to the location of where it really is and my overprotective parents being concerned about me working there which is understandable. I'm not going to take out a star or anything like that because they were flexible and knowledgeable too. I'll probably go back to them even when my new semester starts because I am currently looking for a part time job that fits with my school schedule. Kenji Nakano is extremely lazy and incompetent. He will make up stories about you and try to keep you away from actually finding work. Be warned, his accusations will come completely from left field. No preparation, no hint, completely unexpected. Once you start getting a grasp on what he is even saying he will hang up on you and pretend you don't exist. Personally, I think it's because he doesn't even want to put forth an effort and actually do his job. The company I had been trying for was remote, I did all the foot work on getting the equipment, rearranging my house, setting up the computers, training 5 in the morning while my baby is still sleeping were my desk was at. Everyone in my house caught covid and the remote company ended my assignment because of "attendance". I got very sick, even my baby. There was no sympathy from Robert Half. They could careless about your housing situation. + I needed a letterhead for my housing they still haven't given me what I requested. Meat market. They work for companies, so they don't really care about candidates. Some of the companies that work with Robert Half get problems. They often can't find the employees themselves. In shorts, the experiences I had working with them was terrible. I got a little traumatize for a while and the company left me a very bad impression of head hunters. Recruiters there are worse than sales people. They talk a beautiful game, but that's all. They would persistently cold call me but when I left messages they never replied. They would also persistently sent me personal emails regarding available positions and when I replied they disappeared. Things like that... I had a great experience with Robert Half, I was in a bind selling my place during covid and the fluctuating covid restrictions and mediocre real estate agents (that's another story) but my time was extended and I already left my job, My agent, Kenji was just very quick at getting my jobs in-line with my requests and my background and quick. They were pretty upfront with my contract terms and gave me multiple options giving me pretty good assignments at quick notice. Like I had my home sale fall though less than a week before closing after i just ended an assignment and he was able to gave me pretty good assignments relatively fast and were receptive no my needs and concerns regarding the type of work, covid concerns, and location. Long overdue review! Before moving to Hawaii, I was tipped to contact Robert Half to help me with my job search. After a brief phone interview with Shelle, I was set up with an in-office interview with Drew within a week of my arrival. I showed up at their office and met with Shelle and Drew, and both were friendly, courteous, approachable, and professional. After my interview, I was informed of some various online hoop jumping in order to set up my profile with Robert Half. I'll admit that some of these hoops were easier to jump through than others but after a brief consultation on the phone with how to navigate through the system, my profile was complete and I was ready to begin fielding job opportunities. It didn't take long at all for Drew and Shelle to find potential job offerings for me. We would discuss each position at length and I went into each job confident that Robert Half had set me up for success. Office Team rocks! From the time I signed up, they had me working. The first assignment lasted three months with great people. The second assignment I was very reluctant to take, mostly because I didn't think I was qualified. Nathan had faith in me, so he scheduled me for an interview. Within no time, I was working again - this time for nine months, only to be hired permanently! I can't even begin to communicate how happy and relieved I be considered for a full-time position! I no longer had to worry about submitting resumes and being rejected, or worse, ignored. Another bad experience, our firm used Office Team (not my decision). They hired someone who turned out to be a total flake from the 2nd day. Person was unqualified and had too many personal problems. After 1 day on the job, the Robert Half Temp couldn't come in due to personal problems. Wtf. She wasted a lot of time talking about her personal problems, making personal calls. Then to top it off, said she was still looking "for something better out there" and that she didn't think she could do the job. She also said she wasn't making what she was promised. Which is strange because my experience as a temp is you set your min hourly rate and the temp service adds to that which employer pays. So it was all strange and disappointing to say the least. I did not do the interviewing or see her resume. I have never had this kind of unprofessional experience with a temp before. Usually they are prescreened and ready to lay the hammer down. So I confronted her on her experience and she admitted no experience. So she wasted everyone's time due to lies on resume. Because after saying she needed more time to handle personal problems, she gave 5 days notice. But the hiring person told her don't bother coming back. So in 5 days she only showed up 2 days then quit. #EpicFail Very unprofessional in every way, expected more from an employment agency than a hire off the street. Aloha! I have been an employee at Office Team since January 2013. Unlike other temporary agencies on the island, they have always kept me busy. Another great perk about being with Office Team is their online timesheet. It was great not having to fax or personally submit a timesheet. I always submitted my timesheet on Friday and always got paid the following Tuesday. Nathan was my contact at Office Team and he always looked out for me. The other staff members - Kenji, Melissa and Amy always had me covered as well. If Nathan was not available, the other staff members would help me with whatever I needed. In a couple of days I will become a permanent employee at the assignment where I am currently working. I feel that by working with my present employer as a temporary, they were able to see how I work and how I interacted with other employees. PROS: I have had pretty decent job placement with Office Team in the past (Nashville and Honolulu Offices). They do a good job at finding placement in a timely manner. Hoping to have to same luck with them after I relocate to California, personnel from the Carlsbad office has already gotten in touch with me. CONS: Having a horrible experience with the Honolulu office trying to get my name changed in the system, since it won't let me do it online. I left a voicemail over a month ago, the the voicemail greeting ended with "Someone will probably call you back". Probably? So yes, no one called me back. I then sent an email with my request, with a couple of legal documents attached, so they could change my name. That was 3 weeks ago or so. I really liked that they continuously kept in touch with me and made sure to call me after each first day at a new temp job.
